  1. You may be right but I’m still not banking on a dude who looks completely clueless in the majors, outside of one month. His minor league stats aren’t crazy good either. Lord Meidroth will make him an afterthought.
  2. I feel like Montgomery profiles better at 3B and could be our next Robin if he gets stronger. Lord Meidroth at 2B. That leaves SS as the question mark. I’m not buying into one hot month from Sosa and Gonzalez is likely a bust.
  3. That’s good to know that there’s educated people out there. Not that I have a problem with extracurricular activities at all, but all I hear from teenage son is Uber drivers offering him weed. 🤣
  4. I attended private Catholic schools all my life — grade school, high school, and college. I know all the Bible stories/parables.
  5. Robert obviously and hopefully, so he can be traded for a better return. Baseball America dogging Quero is an absolute shame. Didn’t even make their top 100?
  6. I never said I validated violence. I said that some people could take your comments about their kids the wrong way and want to slap you upside the HEED. I don’t put my hands on elders. That’s elder abuse.
  7. McCarthy is 27 and will be a free agent after the 2028 season — 4 more seasons of control. He sure would have been a nice RF for now and later replacing Benintendi in LF. Getz was likely stuck on Fletcher’s extra year of control and it burned his ass.
  8. Yeah, but I’m not going to blame the White Sox for that. I’m sure Getz asked for Campbell but Boston was never going to give him up per reports. However, they had a real shot at both Eldridge (#24) and Keaschall (#61). You know, two of their very positions of need for the rebuild/future — 1B and CF. 🤬
  9. Thanks for sharing. Crazy how it could be even better with just two different moves — Jacob Gonzalez and the Fedde trade.
  10. I wouldn’t tell him his children need therapy. In any case, I doubt Scholtens would beat up a senior citizen.
  11. From reading about Lord Meidroth’s scouting reports, it really sounds like he would fit better at 2B than SS. Which is fine. Even if his defense is average at 2B, his bat may make him a 3-4 WAR player. Mini-Pedroia perhaps? Did @Chicago White Sox buy his jersey yet?
  12. Al Harris as well. https://www.windycitygridiron.com/2025/1/24/24351411/chicago-bears-hire-al-harris-defensive-pass-game-coordinator-antwaan-randle-el-wide-receiver
  13. With as many cash considerations deals as Getz has made since he was promoted to GM, it sure seems like he was seeking them out. Jerry must love him.
  14. Technically, you were only off by a week, Nostradamus.
  15. The Pirates should win the auction and then give the kid everything they offered him for the card initially.
  16. The White Sox usual pitcher injury timeline… He’s fine and anticipated to be ready for the start of Spring Training… He had a setback and may be held back for the start of Spring Training… He is still having discomfort after a cortisone shot… He needs TJ surgery…
  17. That’s why they acquire 10 starters. The Sox can’t afford to do that unfortunately. Like SS2K5 mentioned, the running theme with this organization appears to be — if you don’t hear anything about a pitcher’s status, it’s probably bad news.
  18. So it begins… And SS2K5 just called it a couple days ago.
  19. That’s when Jerry steps in and gives Getzy the nod to sign a superstar free agent for $500+ million. 😏
  20. Serviceable means helpful or useful. Scholten’s production, or lack thereof, puts him in DFA territory.
  21. You didn’t label Scholtens as just “depth”. You called him “a serviceable arm”. I showed stats that would indicate that he is a substandard arm.
