  1. It’s part of that regression that people predicted, but an even worse slump. OPS down to only .738.
  2. At least that would wipe out Castillo’s contract. 🤣
  3. Unfortunately the Rays have already seen enough of Pereira, the Tasmanian Devil, to want him back.
  4. Because the Dodgers don’t settle for question marks. They get the best available. Doesn’t mean Ryan won’t be good though.
  5. Even funnier is the replies asking why he’s wearing a swimming cap. 🤣
  6. Try not laughing at this. Simply horrifying…
  7. The Sox will be paying him around $750,000 per start through next season so they need to get their money’s worth.
  8. So Smith is a top 25 prospect in the MLB?
  9. Yep, it was the Dodgers’ 6th, 9th, and 27th best prospects. But that’s what’s nice about having a ton of money and an insane farm system for this very purpose.
  10. Yep, if Castillo was 28 I would feel a lot better about this trade. I know it’s cliche but this does feel a bit like shades of the Shields trade. Not Smith becoming Tatis Jr. but Castillo being old and falling apart like Shields.
  11. Yes, but unfortunately it would cost you.
  12. People were upset at the thought of Wolkow and Smith for Peralta. I take that deal all day over this one. Plus, you wouldn’t have all that money sunk into a declining pitcher going forward and could sign a younger starter in the offseason. This trade stinks.
  13. 33 is old in baseball. We acquired Shields when he was 34 and he was done soon after.
  14. Freddy Garcia was 27 years old when the Sox acquired him. Shields was a washed up bum and 34 years old. Guess what? Castillo is nearing 34.
  15. Yep, Castillo should be a salary dump at this point and the Sox actually gave up a decent prospect and took on a lot of money for him. This is a an absolute stinker of a trade by Getz.
  16. But why would they bother picking up Rodgers as opposed to playing any catcher like Romo, or the catcher they just DFA in Chadwick Tromp? They are done. Why would they try to maintain a decent catcher?
  17. I don’t think so. One more year of control but he isn’t the same guy he was years ago. Seems like the Orioles want to trade him with their pickup of Jake Rogers.
  18. This would be pretty nice, and probably wouldn’t cost that much.
  19. Getz just asked if you are providing the prospects.
  20. No, because if you would have been GM instead of Getz, we would have multiple World Series championships right now.
  21. Watch your mouth, @caulfield12. And don’t forget to place your vote for PCA for NL MVP.
  22. There is no going too far for Ron. He is on an island of his own.
  23. Pereira is and always has been a wind tunnel. Something both the Yankees and Rays figured out. Unfortunately, Getz did not.
  24. Ron is the greatest troll in history and he’s pretty funny. Don’t be PB and jelly.
