Outman is garbage but this would’ve made it a great trade. I would be surprised if the Sox managed to get a prospect the caliber of De Paula by the time all is said and done. He’s rated the 3rd best Dodgers prospect and 37th overall by MLB Pipeline.

Yeah, Getz made some real steals with Rojas, Tauchman, Slater, and Taylor. Old guys that can’t stay healthy. That was $10+ million down the drain. You seriously think those were good signings by Getz? The only thing worse than those signings was him trading young players for mediocre old relievers with no history of success.

Canario with a home run and two walks tonight for the Pirates. He's also playing CF. Would have loved seeing him in our lineup over Palacio, Taylor, and Maton. Good point. I think they tried with Madrigal, but they were just obsessed with the high batting average and low strikeouts and didn't realize that he couldn't draw walks. He just weakly swung for contact when he was down to 2 strikes.

If Getz had done a good job in his previous roles and current role, he'd have a young outfielder to play right now rather than Palacios and Taylor and Maton at DH. That's simply embarrassing.
