  1. I looked it up and was surprised. I always thought that teams usually sold for more than their Forbes valuation. Forbes had the Orioles’ valuation at $1.713 billion in 2023. The Orioles were sold for $1.725 million in March 2024.
  2. Haha, I like how in two posts, you both have basically described both ends of the spectrum for Wolkow’s potential career. Both are possible outcomes. Hopefully WestEddy’s comes true. But yeah, if he doesn’t improve on a 40% strikeout rate, he isn’t going anywhere. Luckily, he just turned 19 a few days ago and has plenty of time.
  3. I think we can all see how this is going to go down… “Ken Rosenthal and Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic report that the Dodgers are meeting again with Roki Sasaki on Tuesday.”
  4. Career ERA near 6. Career WHIP near 1.50. -1 career WAR. This guy is the very definition of suck.
  5. My first guess was suicide. 37? Brutal either way.
  6. You don’t fully know what WAR is then, but WestEddy did a good job of explaining it.
  7. The bullpen looks to be boom or bust to me. Getz acquired a bunch of relievers with some recent history of success, but not too much long-term success. With most relievers other than the truly “lights-out” top guys being fluky from year to year, it could be good or it could be awful like last season.
  8. Would even the biggest Sox fan in the world choose to play for Jerry and the Sox over the Dodgers?
  9. I don’t even buy cheap seats. I won’t contribute to Jerry’s wallet until he shows some signs of trying to win. I see that you reside in California so I would guess you aren’t buying too many tickets to Sox games either.
  10. Perhaps, but signing a washed-up Omar Narvaez to a minor league deal isn’t indicative of that. This isn’t Narvaez from 4+ years ago. He’s bad now.
  11. Their projection for the bullpen of -1.6 WAR is their worst bullpen prediction of all time. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/2025-zips-projections-chicago-white-sox/
  12. Per Passan, the White Sox are not one of the three finalists (Dodgers, Padres, Blue Jays) for Sasaki. Shocking, I know. I still can’t believe some of the earlier posts in this thread that thought the Sox actually had a chance. I guess the Tadahito Iguchi connection wasn’t strong enough… 🤣
  13. This was another thing that happened. But I also believe Machado shared a picture of his new glove while he was still a free agent and Sox fans were saying that the glove was in traditional White Sox colors, indicating he was signing with the Sox.
  14. Remember the infamous Manny Machado White Sox glove? 🤣
  15. Sasaki sent the White Sox’s PowerPoint deck straight to trash and blocked Getz’s email address.
  16. The timing of this signing is probably all the proof anyone needs that the Sox are OUT.
  17. Give him a break. He didn’t do any to anything wrong. All the guys he acquired last offseason were pretty good at some point like 5 years earlier in their careers.
  18. Shocker… ”Baseball America’s Ben Badler reports the Dodgers and Padres are the most likely landing spots for Roki Sasaki.“
  19. I’m pretty sure that @LittleHurtCG was the same poster saying that Fields was better than Caleb and he didn’t want the Bears to draft Caleb at all. Meanwhile, Fields lost his job to a 36-year old Russell Wilson and the Bears aren’t even going to get a 4th round pick for Fields because he didn’t have enough snaps for the Steelers this season. He still can’t throw. 6th round pick it is.
  20. Two different OC’s and head coaches. LOL.
  21. Well, to be fair, Stroud’s rookie season was amazing. He appears to have had a bit of a sophomore slump, even though his numbers are still good this year. But saying that Jayden Daniels is for sure better than Caleb at this point when they both had comparable rookie season numbers is a big assumption.
  22. You don’t have a resume with any MLB experience so you can’t judge the godly GM that is Chris Getz! 🤣
  23. Washington has a better OL than the Bears — True. Washington has better coaching than the Bears — I don’t see how this can be refuted with the carousel of coaching changes the Bears had this year. Caleb’s and Jayden’s overall numbers aren’t wildly different — Take a look at them. I think they might surprise you.
