  1. He must be talking about a different dimension in the multiverse than ours.
  2. Higher attendance = more $15 dollar Campfire Milkshakes sold!
  3. I’m not quite sure how you are reading this board but the majority of posters are sick of both players and think they are both busts.
  4. Eloy earned his “damaged hamstring” because he decided to never truly get into shape like legitimate star baseball players that take their careers seriously. Eloy has no one to blame but himself. The Sox have paid this bum $30+ million to put up 5 WAR over 6 seasons. Eloy has generational wealth from the Sox for putting up 5 WAR. It’s a nice gig if you can get it, I guess.
  5. Why would you compare Eloy to a 1B draft pick that this board already knows is a bust? How does that make Eloy look any better? The only reason he is still around is because he’s way cheaper than Eloy. Andrew Vaughn’s status as a bad baseball player doesn’t make Eloy any better. Eloy is still a bust too, if you haven’t noticed.
  6. Almost as bad as grasping for Getz’s nuts and acting like he had nothing to do with this historically bad season. You know, the team he actually put together last offseason?
  7. Dude hasn’t posted in almost a full year. I think he may have given up on the optimism, but hopefully he is happy and healthy.
  8. Remember when we were going to get another legit prospect by flipping Steven Wilson from the Cease trade? Whoopsies!!!
  9. Almost as stupid as defending Getz’s moves… Maldonado especially. If you can recognize Eloy’s failures, you should also recognize our GM’s failures.
  10. Without Rick Hahn, Getz wouldn’t even have the few good prospects that he has right now.
  11. While also taking away 6 years of control over a top 2B/CF prospect from them. Getz is a moron and in way over his head.
  12. It sure looks a whole lot worse now than when the trade was made, especially with Cease turning back into an ace this season. An offensive prospect (Zavala) struggling right after he comes to our organization. What a surprise!
  13. No, you get Dominic Fletcher and you’ll like it! Amazing how many poor decisions Getz has made outside of his one good signing (Fedde).
  14. Colas should have been starting all season. Getz and Grifol were too busy proving what any Sox fan with a clue already knew, that Sheets sucks balls and should be DFA.
  15. It’s at the point now where no one could even use small sample sizes to prove this team isn’t as bad as its record. There are no more small sample sizes of them winning. ?
  16. Hired by a moron GM whom was hired by a terrible owner. Nothing improves until JR is gone.
  17. Nope. Just more… “HISTORY!!!”
  18. Updated game thread title… “8/4 - Streak Ends Never”
  19. I thought he had trade value?!? Why is he still here?
  20. Based on their offseason, Getz did tank with his pathetic signings and cut payroll a lot. Why should the Sox be rewarded for trying to be bad?
  21. I like how JR/Getz are too short-sighted to realize that they aren’t competing next year anyways, but also that taking away a good prospect or two from the Twins would also hurt them in the long run more so than anything Fedde does next year. Idiots.
  22. I doubt it even gets to that. My guess is that they will cancel SoxFest due to some bogus excuse to avoid facing the music.
  23. Grifol is the end of the season fall guy to detract from both JR and Getz’s failures, just as Hahn and Kenny were the fall guys for last season.
  24. Those players were all known to be terrible when they were acquired, outside of Brebbia and Clevinger. It’s a fool’s errand to go dumpster diving and expect all of those bums to put up a good year. The Sox have been employing this dumpster diving strategy for years and it pretty much never works out and ends up in wasting millions of dollars. Yes, one true star player has a greater likelihood of putting up 4 to 5 WAR than that collection of bums.
