  1. Don’t get your hopes up. Rather than wait to see potential DFA targets, Getz jumped the gun on a worse Austin already because he was his “number one target”. The better Austin will be signing with a better team that has a wiser GM.
  2. Hah, Chicagoans take it for granted. They are all around here and throughout Illinois.
  3. Bohm’s value might be high enough after his past two seasons of production and with two seasons remaining, that it might not be worth the risk of seeing if he performs even better with the Sox and just flip him immediately. The idea of another NL player coming to the Sox and forgetting how to hit frightens me. But I agree with your second paragraph and that if the Phillies had any notion of Bohm being a headliner or second piece to a Crochet offer, they are nuts.
  4. I love how Eberflus just said he’d be coaching the next game against the 49’ers. 🤣 Like I said after the game, no coach should survive with his job after running out of time in a game with a timeout left. Poles should absolutely be on the hot seat now for not even entertaining the idea of Harbaugh.

It was. Super moist turkey. Kids crushed it. I won’t ever cook a turkey without brining it first. I’ve done it the past two years and it has come out great both times.
  7. @caulfield12, you spelled “defecating” wrong. 🤣

    Same here… 😉

Came out juicy as hell from the two day brine soak in the fridge. This 22 pounder took about 4 hours on the propane Weber grill at around 325 to 350 degrees.
  10. A head coach that runs out of time in a close game with a TO left needs to be canned immediately after the game.
  11. Dude has to be fired at this point.

After the initial massive turkey I am cooking, my dad and I are doing a pork roast and a smaller turkey breast and more stuffing for the rest of the weekend! Kids are gonna gain 5 pounds this weekend.

That’s definitely a lot of work but a great excuse to crush several beers as you are “waiting” for things to cook. 🤣

I bought a 22 pound turkey from CostCo. I salt brined this b**** for 2 days. Now drying it out until I stuff it with fresh poultry seasoning, sliced apples, onions, and oranges. Going to dry rub the outside with butter, garlic, pepper, and a little brown sugar. Gonna cook it tomorrow morning on my outside propane grill. Should take around 4 to 5 hours at 325 degrees. Grandpa (my dad) makes fresh stuffing from bread, celery, egg, onion, seasoning, etc. and fresh cranberry sauce from frozen cranberries. He also makes fresh mashed potatoes, gravy, and an awesome veggie salad and Hawaiian salad. My 14 and 16 year old boys are going to eat so much they might puke. Going to make sure they don’t eat anything tomorrow until 3 PM or so when Thanksgiving dinner is served. 🤣
  15. Agreed, WE. I was actually surprised that the Phillies are looking to include Bohm in every deal. He’s no star, but he’a a very good player, especially for his arbitration price. But do you agree that the Sox would be best served immediately trading Bohm for additional prospects if they do acquire him as a second or third piece in any Crochet trade? I think that makes the most sense. The Sox won’t be competing in the two year window that Bohm is under control. I love the idea of acquiring two top prospects and Bohm and dealing Bohm for a couple lesser (but still good) prospects, whether that be in a three team deal or two separate trades by the Sox. That could be a pretty good haul for Crochet, considering his risk and not having to pay him in a couple years.
  16. I missed Ron… 🧌😈
  17. Like every supposed insider? 🤣
  18. I doubt Getz goes after him after he already landed his #1 target named Austin, a righty hitting outfielder as well.
  19. Yeah, but Miller and Crawford would be two good headlining prospects. Then deal Bohm to some other team for a couple lesser, but still good, prospects. Wouldn’t be a bad deal.
  20. Haha, was about to say it. These rumors are playing out as they usually do. So lame…
  21. It is true, and yes there is. Opportunity cost for a younger and potentially better player receiving the playing time.
  22. Amazing that we have seen Madrigal already with the Sox, saw what he did with the Cubs, then watched his horrible older clone in Nicky Lopez last year, and anyone would still want to see Madrigal back with this team. It should be pretty obvious at this point that Madrigal’s game doesn’t play in the MLB, just like Lopez’s doesn’t.
