TA as catcher? Well, now we get C Chuck Robinson in CF and hitting third
China is trying to play games with your mind. You are their test subject.

I see Robert batting third and playing CF. Lee is starting at catcher. Robinson is on the bench.

What lineups are you looking at? Robinson isn’t even starting tonight. Lee is and Robert is batting third and playing CF.

Trade thoughts
Same post I made. Makes zero sense.

Eloy to Baltimore
I was doing that as well. I seem to remember Hahn burning $33 million or so on garbage during the failed Machado offseason.

Fedde/Pham/$ to STL, Kopech to LAD, Miguel Vargas + prospects to Sox
He supposedly has no glove, but the Sox should be using these pointless games to try to figure out if he can at least play one position averagely. Relegating him to DH already would be stupid. I assume they are just easing him into things with his new team.

Eloy to Baltimore
Worth a try. Maybe his power will magically come back in Chicago rather than Charlotte.

Grade Getz’s 1st Trade Deadline!
I doubt the Cubs were ever going to trade Taillon. They acquired an All-Star 3B to build for the future so dealing Taillon wouldn’t have made sense.

Grade Getz’s 1st Trade Deadline!
Agreed. I had Getz’s offseason as a D, which was only saved from an F due to the Fedde signing. I was then going to give him an F for the trade deadline because he failed to extract good value out of Fedde (plus Kopech). However, the Banks trade bumped my trade deadline grade for Getz up to a D.

Eloy to Baltimore
Around $25 million dollars, or Bryce Harper’s annual salary. And this happens almost every year from my memory, but I’d have to look back and do the math.

Eloy to Baltimore
Sheets shouldn’t even be at DH. If he has has options, send him down. Or DFA him. I don’t really care. He’s has proven himself to be worthless over the years. Since Benintendi “has” to play due to his contract, DH his sorry ass.
-
Tanner Scott to SD
Both returns were on par or better than what the Sox got for Fedde/Kopech, while the Sox at least had the better trade asset than Rogers.
-
Fire Chris Getz
Sorry, this excuse won’t work. The Marlins are a desperate seller almost every year and they had a great trade deadline of selling their assets. Try again…
-
Fire Chris Getz
Or, he doesn’t have the ability to get a decent return for his assets (see Fedde trade).

Grade Getz’s 1st Trade Deadline!
Letter grades A through F please.

Crochet NOT TRADED
Embarrassing.
-
Eloy to Baltimore
He’s already 26. Bring him up.
-
Eloy to Baltimore
Yeah, it will be down from the $130 to $140 or whatever it was at this season. But the Sox had so many players leaving that it was already go to start out well below $100 million.
-
Fire Chris Getz
As they should. Getz had a miserable offseason and an even worse trade deadline.
-
Tanner Banks to Philly
Duplicate post.
-
Tanner Banks to Philly
How the hell is Getz’s best trade and return from Tanner freaking Banks?
-
Eloy to Baltimore
WhiteSoxDave of Barstoolsports wrote an article including a tidbit of news that Jerry is having Getz cut the payroll once again this upcoming offseason to around $100 million. https://www.barstoolsports.com/blog/3520789/breaking-down-todays-big-3-team-trade-between-the-white-sox-dodgers-and-cardinals-involving-erick-fedde-and-michael-kopech

Crochet Trade Updates (Nightengale)
The return had better not be that good.
-
Crochet Trade Updates (Nightengale)
What an epically horrible trade deadline for a team that supposedly had numerous assets to deal. Getz packaged Fedde, Kopech, and Pham for a lesser return and prioritized saving money for Jerry. Losers, all of them…

Crochet Trade Updates (Nightengale)
Exactly.
