  1. No one got hurt bad on BR. Just cramping. A kid on Marist got hurt but not sure what the injury was. Here’s the Sun Times recap… https://chicago.suntimes.com/high-school-football/2025/09/06/brother-rice-football-marist-chicago
  2. Yeah, other high school’s live YouTube game feeds make you appreciate that Brother Rice TV actually has some kids doing the commentary and sideline reporting, as cheesy as it is. Other schools just have a live video feed and no audio other than game noise. BR is legit this year. My son (#69) is back from his knee surgery early last season (torn ACL and meniscus) and starting at right guard. It was already a blowout at half time, so I left the game to drive my younger son around and missed which BR player got injured. I’ll find out later today once my older son wakes up. The BR student section was all dressed in BR half shirts and cut off jorts. Hilarious listening to them troll Marist with their own RedHawks chant. The home crowd was silenced from Marist getting smoked in the earlier sophomore game as well. Some videos… https://vimeo.com/1116392262?fl=pl&fe=sh https://vimeo.com/1116392881?fl=pl&fe=sh https://vimeo.com/1116393669?fl=pl&fe=sh
  3. The Bulls have offered Giddy 4-years and $88 million.
  4. Where did you see this? Hope this isn’t the case.
  5. Are you really going to continue to argue with me when I am literally providing you with the evidence you requested? Considering Clevinger has been signed by the Sox for the past three straight seasons (and not just in 2025), the incident wasn’t that long before the Sox initially signed him. Also, my post that you are contesting was that Clevinger “has had both issues with previous teammates and women.” Here is more evidence for you since you are apparently too lazy to look it up for yourself — both a teammate and his manager at the time calling him out in quotes below. I’m sure you already know about his “troubles” with women so I don’t need to rehash that as well, right? Why anyone would feel the need to defend this guy is hilarious. He’s a crappy person and he’s an equally crappy pitcher these days, but you do you I guess… https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/29655827/indians-zach-plesac-says-mike-clevinger-unfairly-cast-bad-people-covid-violation
  6. Even if it isn’t pro-human, it’s cool to see another alien species that may not get along with the Alien xenomorphs. Not sure how it could take one down though, other than taking over another species and fighting one. Xenomorphs have no eyeballs to embed into and they have acid for blood.
  7. No one would know his name but everyone has seen him act in something.
  8. You don’t even need to use new stats. A mediocre bat with bad defense just isn’t worth much. Right now, Sosa is basically the infield version of Benintendi. Sosa is also going to hit 20 homers but his defense is so bad he’s only at a 0.7 bWAR, just shy of Benintendi’s. But at least Sosa is still young, can improve, and isn’t overpaid. Meanwhile, Benintendi was terrible in his first season with the Sox, was a bit better last season due to a hot second half, and is now having his best season in a Sox uniform, which is still mediocre. Betting on him to continue to improve in his 32 and 33 year old seasons would not be a bet I’d be willing to take. But we get to find out anyways, all while paying him $31 million over the 2026 and 2026 seasons. The proof that Benintendi has little value is that no team would trade for him unless the Sox picked up a huge portion of his remaining contract, and I’m not so sure a team would even be interested in him if the Sox did indeed include a bunch of cash. The Sox would no doubt love to move him if possible, as we have seen rumors in the past that they would be willing to include cash to trade him. It hasn’t come to fruition, likely because no other team wants him even at a discount.
  9. Robertson was DFA by the Blue Jays in July and the Sox acquired him for cash considerations. Benintendi is not even a 1.0 bWAR player due to his poor defense and still mediocre bat. His high priced salary is what makes him not worth his performance.
  10. https://www.si.com/mlb/guardians/opinion/mike-clevingers-actions-have-severely-complicated-his-place-in-the-indians-clubhouse The guy isn’t good enough to be worth his issues. Yet, the Sox keep signing him.
  11. Both are bad. One guy has issues outside of being bad which is why no one else wants him. Who signed both guys?
  12. You already know the point. The Sox have employed a scumbag lowlife for three years straight who has had both issues with previous teammates and women. Would any other team but the Sox even sign Clevinger at this point? The Sox aren’t very good judges of either baseball talent or of good humanity in general.
  13. Hard to argue with Thor considering the Sox continue to employ Clevinger and may even call him up soon.
  14. Apparently we have the worst ownership and the most cowardly GM in baseball because no one else has signed the guy in three years.
  15. Barfield is supposedly responsible for the Fletcher trade. He suggested acquiring him to Getz.
  16. Unfortunately, he’s not even a 1.0 bWAR player because his defense is so bad. That’s what we should hope improves.
  17. Imagine posting multiple times and busting a nut that your favorite baseball team is actually going to win 50+ games in a 162 game season. 🤣 Jerry has truly won. Owner of the year!
  18. Yes, perhaps a prospect in a weak Robert trade return breaks out? Getting absolutely nothing back for Robert results in ZERO. This is simply fact. Sure, both results could end up being the same, but at least there’s a chance if you actually get some propsect(s) back that may pan out to some extent — bullpen reliever, bench player, etc.
  19. I have agreed with you about the Robert situation the entire time. The decision must have been made to pick up Robert’s option when he wasn’t traded, outside of a major injury. This is not a major injury. If Getz buys out Robert, I’ll be shocked and it will be more fuel than necessary to call for his firing. Even a weak trade return is better than nothing at all.
  20. Exactly, and it needs to be killed with fire.
  21. No other MLB GM would actually sign Clevinger to a minor league deal. Getz will not only pay him millions over two years straight, but he will also let him pitch when the entire world knows he’s a cancer and also sucks. What else can you say?
