  1. That’s a rough no decision.
  2. So who is the best player comp to him these days? Still Corey Seager, but with more power but lower BA? Or someone else? Asking cuz I see you mentioned Bobby Witt…
  3. I looked through your partner in crime’s posts on this site and couldn’t find where he made the comparison of Murakami and Montgomery to Mantle and Maris due to or citing a HR streak, but perhaps you can find it? FYI — All I could find was a post Cali made because their combined first name initials would both be M&M. He first made the comparison back on April 4th, in a game they both hit homeruns but prior to this current Murakami and Montgomery multi-game HR streak that you assumed he was making the comparison for. There was no HR streak by the two Sox players at the time so your assumption was apparently incorrect.
  4. Troll-level silliness was making the comparison to begin with. Just like reassessing how good the Sox are after a win or two in a row when their overall record still stinks.
  5. I will be tracking the combined awards/accomplishments from Murakami and Colson… 5x MVP 27x All-Star Triple Crown Batting Title 2x Gold Glove 10x World Series
  6. Yes, it was absolutely ridiculous to compare M&M to two players with a combined ~150 career bWAR, with one of those players being a Hall of Famer, especially considering M&M haven’t even played a full season of MLB baseball. Good lord…
  7. It hasn’t been long enough yet for Getz to admit that he got jobbed in the trade. I think the quickest he dumped a “somewhat big” trade acquisition was Curtis Mead, whom was acquired at last year’s trade deadline and DFA’ed and later traded to the Nationals to finalize the Sox opening day roster.
  8. Wrigley Field, the rat-infested dump. This must be the exact opposite of Ron Santo’s black cat curse. The Cubs have won 8 in a row and are now in sole possession of 2nd place in the NL Central. The lucky rat? Seeing a couple of the Phillies players flinch away afraid of it was pretty funny.
  9. One more biscuit for breakfast, Colson.
  10. If this happens, it will be next season’s trade deadline.
  11. Sox offense tries to come back. Sox bullpen says hit the showers guys, we got this.
  12. The Dodgers preparing for Mune’s free agency…
  13. Schriffen finally had a good and accurate HR call… “Show me the MUNE!” Schriff-dawg predicting the future.
  14. It was all fun and games until the cop confiscated McGuire’s sock, thinking it was a gun.
  15. This one isn’t good for the run differential ground that was made up last night.
  16. Acuna makes it look like Leury Garcia earned his 3-year, $16.5 million dollar contract.
  17. Sounds like something that would come from the vodka-soaked mind of TLR.
  18. His overall numbers are slowly improving. Very streaky. “Pete Crow-Armstrong went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI on Wednesday in a win over the Phillies. Crow-Armstrong delivered a game-tying RBI double in the second inning before adding a run-scoring single in the eighth inning to close the scoring. The 24-year-old center fielder has started to heat up, batting .320 (8-for-25) with two RBI and one steal over his last seven games.“
  19. Acuna should be preparing for his role as utility man by playing all over the field at the end of games like this.
  20. Not in a race to the finish line.
  21. “Howard - by dad was t-boned.” End of ad.
  22. Arguing against this would be arguing against franchise history. “This is White Sox baseball.”
  23. I don’t think it will ultimately matter. More important will be that his back doesn’t go the way of Joe Crede’s.
  24. This is what I was going to say. Seemingly getting Colson reps at 3B for next year. But it seems like Colson could literally play 3B well without any practice.
