Agreed. You have to stick with Quero now. He’s the lefty and appears to be getting out of his season-long slump. I wouldn’t mind adding Rogers as the right-handed side of the catching platoon and the veteran. I’m not sure if it was ever determined if Romo has options left but they need to send him down regardless. I would not be surprised if Rogers is with the Sox soon.

Knizer was also signed by the Giants. If the Sox refuse to try Lee, may as well get Rogers. I would like to keep Romo in the minors but he looks hopeless right now. Unless the A’s magically release Jonah Heim, you’re not going to do any better than Rogers out there. Or try Haase maybe. Romo can’t buy a hit.

The only people that will cry are the people who somehow thought he was a good prospect to begin with. Madrigal, Rishida, Bergolla… These zero power guys can hit like crazy in the minors but they get shut down in the show.

I wasn’t trying to say he was bad. That just ended up being a funny situation. DJ and Farmer were way better than Stone and Schriffen for sure.

You can sign a journeyman reliever to be as bad as Joe Rock. The guy has a 2 WHIP in both the minors and majors right now.
