  1. Nah, it’s just bad unfortunately. At least his bat has improved.
  2. Yep, it sucks. I was hoping for a steal 1B. But I sincerely doubt Getz out-scouted the Rays on him.
  3. This is as bad of an idea as playing him in the outfield. 🤣
  4. “Nah @nrockway ain't taking that from Schriffen!!!”
  5. Good luck, Bears… ”Packers acquired Micah Parsons from the Cowboys and signed him to a four-year, $188 million extension.”
  6. Yep. Basically, Getz wasted a good acquisition in Tauchman by not flipping him. Sorry, but I’d take a prospect over an oft-injured 35-year old 2 bWAR right fielder with good leadership in what will likely be another losing season. And who is to say Tauchman will have another good season in 2026 in which he will have more value than he already did? Isn’t this what rebuilding teams are supposed to do? Sign guys to one year contracts, hope they perform, and flip them?
  7. He’s waiting for that Ishbia pity money. 🤣
  8. Great point. I believe I do remember WE saying that about other Chicago sports teams. But I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt — perhaps he just likes baseball more than other sports so he is more invested in the Sox.
  9. Where did I say that Sox fans are angrier than Athletics or Pirates fans? What I did say is that the Sox have been even better at being BAD than both of those teams — they are on pace for three straight 100 loss seasons. Even the Athletics and Pirates couldn’t manage to reach the pinnacle of that level of BAD. You also had an earlier post in which you said that many team’s fans hate their team, etc., etc. and then named two teams outside the Sox. That isn’t a majority.
  10. Fajardo for Booser. Kind of evens out those HR signings of Tauchman and Slater.
  11. Damn, it looks like you could literally hop the rail and ride for free. 🤣
  12. Of course. Something is always better than nothing.
  13. Definitely. Just more hyperbole — “There’s other bad teams in baseball and fans that are upset about their teams, just like Sox fans!” Sure, but how many other teams are on pace for their third straight 100 loss season? The Sox are at the pinnacle of being BAD. But he will just respond with — “I don’t care how many games the Sox lose. They are in a rebuild!” As if all Sox fans should feel the same way as him and are completely shortsighted if they don’t.
  14. See, this is where you use too much hyperbole. I don’t recall anyone saying that Vargas isn’t even a bench bat. But he’s probably a bench bat on a good team right now, unless he improves further. Also, it’s difficult to get excited about Tauchman. It’s great that he has a 1.6 bWAR in 77 games but you just also pointed out his downside of getting injured as much as Robert, likely because he is old. He’ll be 35 in the offseason and definitely won’t be on the next contending Sox team. These probably aren’t two players that are helping the Sox win a World Series. Also remember, two actual contending teams dumped both of these guys. Getting “real value” for some of these guys when they won’t be traded for any valuable prospects or contribute to a playoff team just doesn’t get many fans excited like you.
  15. Nah, it pretty much bolsters the general idea that he’s a jagoff. The funniest thing is that he has always had a negative view of Barstool and podcasters who didn’t make their bones coming up through the radio business and now he has to do a podcast himself, just like Barstool employees.
  16. Probably. They know he is always inevitably going to get injured, so they need to trade him before it happens again next ST or during the season. But this sucks as well because his value will be at an all time low, coming off of another crap season and an injury.
  17. True, but I don’t know how your GM can concede that the guy may be done for the season and also say they are committed to him, but not pick up his option. It still seems like Getz is chasing rainbows. It sure doesn’t seem like Robert is ever going to perform well enough or be healthy enough to get the trade return that Getz is expecting.
  18. “Together” was more hilarious than it was scary. Worth a watch if you like funny horror movies, but not worth going to a theatre to see.
  19. We already have Benintendi for two more years! 😶
  20. Agreed. The minute Robert wasn’t traded, I assume Getz had Jerry’s approval to sign off on picking up his 2026 team option, outside of an injury. Otherwise, if you know you aren’t bringing Robert back next year, you simply take whatever scraps you can get for him.
  21. Wasn’t that @Chicago White Sox? I don’t want to speak for him but I always assumed he moved for a job opportunity or something and just threw in that side part about the Sox as a joke.
  22. Reddit? The place you can go to for uncensored shark attack videos that are in the news? God knows what else is on that hell hole. Not the best site to use to make your point.
  23. Once Ishbia takes over, Getz will be standing right next to Kenny and Hahn…
  24. With how much money has been wasted on Clevinger over the last 3 years (20 million?), I don’t see why not. But I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Sox buy him out and offer him a smaller one year deal to save a couple million or so.
