Well said. I am fine with the Cease trade but not with Jerry pocketing $8 million. The fact is that Jerry really doesn’t want to compete unless it’s on his terms and Getz is simply doing his bidding due to his undeserved promotion. It’s a vicious cycle of suckitude and “Yes” men. And GriFAIL is just the whip cream on top of this entire $h1t sundae.

With Cease traded away and the decision to cut both Pillar and Moustakas loose, Getz has saved Jerry $13 million. Getz won’t be getting fired. He probably just got an enthusiastic pat on the back from Jerry.

I do think that the bullpen has a shot at being a positive for the team but I don’t think the offense will score enough runs even with the bullpen doing its job.

We would have the greatest bench of all time if it was 2019. Instead, we are starting most of these relics a year or so after most of them should’ve retired.
