  1. Still not enough of a sample size, I was told.
  2. He’s the legend at carrying water for JR.
  3. Vaughn first pitch swinging with a weak groundout. What a loser.
  4. LOL, think the Twins know what Eloy’s weakness is? 5 out of 6 pitches to him were sliders away. ?
  5. Wilson joining the rest of the team in sabotaging his trade value.
  6. LOL, giving up homers to Santana. Some things never change, even when Santana is old and terrible.
  7. Exactly. More excuses for Getz, but I guess he needs them. Like I said in another thread, other GMs with even bigger payroll constraints than Getz wouldn’t have been successful at building a record-breaking losing team like Getz managed to had they actually tried to do so. Somehow, our first year GM, who wouldn’t have been hired to the position by any other team in baseball, managed to do it. I wonder why? Oh, because he’s in over his head.
  8. Wishful thinking, but JR is not eating that much of his remaining contract to go play for another team at the minor league minimum. No way.
  9. Intentional, so Pham could move on to another team if the Sox didn’t call him up quickly, rather than be stuck in AAA with the Sox. But it’s not like Pham was hitting much in AAA. Maybe they go with him anyways because of his success last season and the fact that Grossman has been absolutely terrible. Either way, Getz is looking pathetic with all this roster scrambling. Dude, it’s over. Accept it. You are setting records.
  10. I’m going to be so disappointed if Poles doesn’t take Odunze if he’s there at #9. Quite honestly, the only other result I would want to see is a crazy trade up for MHJ, which I doubt is likely. https://bearswire.usatoday.com/2024/04/24/bears-nfl-draft-rome-odunze-would-love-to-join-caleb-williams-chicago/ https://bearswire.usatoday.com/lists/bears-rome-odunze-workout-with-caleb-williams-dj-moore-keenan-allen-twitter-reaction/
  11. Yes, that was rather surprising. But I think JR must have learned his lesson from Konerko’s last contract. Paulie’s last two seasons (ages 37 and 38) were terrible, as he was definitely done. Loyalty shouldn’t outweigh Father Time.
  12. What an acquisition by our amazing new GM! Send him to the glue factory already.
  13. Yes, I was shocked by the shutout record when I looked it up. Pretty nuts that this team could have an easier time at the worst record.
  14. “Shitpost”? I hope when you do your “shitposting” that you are wearing your Depends instead of underwear. Fortunately, I still have a few more years to go before I have to worry about that predicament. But yeah, Getz’s acquisitions have done wonders at luring fans to the ballpark. He should’ve dumpster dove even more this offseason. It’s truly working… Even casual Sox fans know that Getz’s offseason was horseshit. You seem to be the only Sox fan I’ve seen who actually defended it. “Some semblance of chance of winning” already went out the window after their historically bad start and definitely by now with their current 3-21 record. It’s still too small of a sample size for you though, so I’ll get back to you once they have played more games. Regarding Fedde, I still don’t believe he will keep it up, although I hope he does so they can quickly trade him for something before he turns back into a pumpkin. Don’t forget how Crochet was an ace after just three starts. Meanwhile, you defended Getz and his awful offseason acquisitions of guys like DeJong, Lopez, Fletcher, Grossman, Soroka, Flexen, etc. I’d say you’re batting a lot worse than I am on the offseason thus far.
  15. Could be. But he’s also 37 now so last year and this year could just be natural decline for his age. Everyone seems to realize that old guys fall apart except for our new GM. See Maldonado (37) and Pillar (35).
  16. That was pretty funny, lol. About the last thing I expected to read. So out of place, haha.
  17. I heard that he usually goes for a quick swim before bed to stay active.
  18. Back to being on pace for a 20-142 record. They made up enough losses to cover for that random win and get back on track.
  19. Yes, that makes sense. And guess what, that will further drop the payroll even more, and well before the deadline. Almost like a certain someone had his newly promoted minion follow his orders exactly how he drew them up? Hmmmm…
  20. Almost time for another fantastic finish? Don’t forget to flush it.
  21. If .750 OPS players are truly stars, the poor White Sox will never be able to field a competitive team. Jerry and Getz like to sign .650 OPS guys who are a year past retirement on the cheap.
  22. Remember when Crochet was an ace after three starts and we were going to trade him for a haul? I miss those days.
