  1. Robles was there for the taking. Getz wanted Senzel.
  2. Ironically, Paredes was a Cubs prospect to begin with but they traded him in 2017 with Jeimer Candelario and cash to the Detroit Tigers for Alex Avila and Justin Wilson. What a terrible trade that was.
  3. Can’t play a position, like at all.
  4. Hasn’t been a good showcase thus far for whatever team(s) were interested, lol.
  5. Cubs just traded Morel and two prospects to the Rays for Isaac Paredes.
  6. Well, if teams didn’t already think Crochet had hit the innings wall yet, they do now. Excellent decision to to start him, Getz.
  7. JR prefers to ignore reality. He thought this team needed a few tweaks to be a contender again. He also thinks once we have a lineup of nine David Ecksteins, we will be cooking with fire.
  8. Even Schriffen and Stone commented on Eloy hitting far too many ground balls this season. 73%.
  9. JR likes control and “yes” men. Unless AJ would fall in line with the rest of him for a managerial contract, I am having a hard time believing this news, even though it seems to be coming from JR’s mouthpiece Bob Nightengale.
  10. I made a post about wondering if when Getz confronted Crochet about the possibility of an extension which he quickly turned down (don’t know if they got into the numbers or not), did Getz then proceed with discussing the Sox plan with Crochet and his agent regarding moving him at the deadline to get their thoughts.
  11. “Why are you such a complete and utter nincompoop of a GM?”
  12. Makes no sense, whether a trade is close or not. Really no reason to start him.
  13. It is a good question. He has done some because I have seen the tweets from the beat reporters on their Q/A interaction but it seems like he doesn’t consistently do it like Hahn did in the past.
  14. Hiding his shame.
  15. This would be a moronic mandate from the owner who reportedly has said he is happy with second place every year.
  16. I just don’t see this happening with the way AJ has called out the Sox organization over the past year or so.
  17. You always put your slugger at cleanup. .675 OPS.
  18. The most played out excuse for a GM being slow to the table. Yes, everyone knows this. It sure doesn’t seem to be an issue for the Rays and other teams with several trades being made already.
  19. Nicky Lopez leading off. ? You can’t make this stuff up.
  20. I don’t think that lineup would be competitive at all.
  21. Nope, I can name $20 million in several players that Getz acquired that were all crap.
  22. Defends Tim Anderson to the bitter end. Hates Luis Robert. Hilarious. One guy ruined his career because he was more focused on knocking up Instagram hoochies outside of his marriage. Luis Robert? We don’t have any definitive proof of him doing anything other than his appearance while in the field. He still defends Anderson over Robert. At least I’m confident, Luis Robert wouldn’t get demolished by Jose Ramirez like Anderson was.
