  1. I guess the Mariners didn’t want the Orioles’ major league bats for pitching. Surprise.
  2. Guess we were right. No one wants to throw millions at Snell and Montgomery.
  3. I thought he was Elias’s mistress and Mike just runs his mouth too much during pillow talk.
  4. Covid and full-time work from home has ensured that this type of phenomenon can happen all the time now.
  5. Jeff Passan just had an ESPN Insider article yesterday that both Bieber and Burnes’ chances of being traded are dwindling. https://www.espn.com/mlb/insider/insider/story/_/id/39229320/mlb-2023-24-free-agency-update-predictions-trades-moves-jeff-passan-snell-bellinger
  6. I think this is the interesting thing about prospects. Jones has the body, is two years younger than Kjerstad, but he has yet to hit like Kjerstad in the minors. He definitely could in his age 23 and 24 seasons, but it’s not a guarantee. Just goes to show that no one truly knows.
  7. Sports Guy knows for sure cuz of his pillow talk with Elias.
  8. I can’t wait. The Sports Guy will then fade into silence.
  9. This is what I recall, but I’m a mush talker.
  10. So is Mayo being untouchable your idea or are you mind-melding with Elias?
  11. At this point, I hope the best offer comes from a non-Orioles AL East team, and that team beats the Orioles brains in. ?
  12. Also, his main point has always been that Elias has an idea of what Cease should cost in terms of prospects and won’t deviate from “his” price. But not all GMs function this way and WILL up the ante to obtain a player they want, especially if there is competition for said player.
  13. Those lower offers could jump up at any time to match the higher offers, depending on how interested the potential buyers are in the house.
  14. Exactly. Thanks. I don’t get what is so tough to understand. He’s acting like teams only ever have “a final offer”. His house buying analogy is absolutely terrible.
  15. No one with a lower offer on a house has ever upped their offer because they want the house badly, even if they were initially trying to get a better deal?
  16. Sure is funny how insiders on this board have called out specific team interest escalating, and an article naming that exact team pops up a day or two later. This has happened with both the Yankees and the Mets in the past few days.
  17. He has Elias’s phone tapped.
  18. Cubs wanted Alonso but either the Mets were asking too much for him or Hoyer was prospect hugging like Elias, like he has been all offseason.
  19. But this doesn’t matter. I was told that there is no difference between 5 teams being interested in a player and only 2. The return will not be impacted whatsoever.
  20. Yep, I thought this was common sense but I guess not… ?
  21. Or, all 4 teams want Cease and all submit offers for him and Getz gets the pick of the best offer? And may even then try to get the teams to up their offers slightly, using this multiple team competition for his services. You sure seem to think it’s your way or the highway, as if you were a planted bug on Getz’s cell phone.
  22. More teams being interested is always better than less and it could help increase the return.
  23. Sure seems like Getz waiting is starting to pay off with all this latest interest. Also, it sure doesn’t seem like teams want to overpay Snell and Montgomery.
  24. Well, public if you think the New York Post is a reliable source of information. I guess for baseball news it could be.
