  1. Yeah I never understood that. They need a guy like this. Honestly I'd bring back Flexen, too. Going to need A LOT of innings.
  2. It's a minor deal so who really cares he can be cut in ST, but getting awfully crowded in the infield. Really makes me think Vargas will be getting 1B reps. Edit - Did not realize this guy is majority 1B.
  3. Other teams do it just fine. The White Sox f*** up because they try it with their most unathletic people.
  4. I'm sure one of the infield prospects they have will find themselves out there. Which worries me a lot less than sticking a first baseman into RF.
  5. I’d be fine with either for what differences they bring to the table, but I’d really love Ben Johnson in Caleb’s ear.
  6. It is pretty wild the Packers were a blocked FG from being 0-6.
  7. Yeah, I have connections to people, too. A lot of them are dumbasses who I know suck at their job.
  8. I would assume Johnson would have already stated that to the team, since it looks like he already turned down interviewing with the Jets for (I assume) a situation he does not like.
  9. If Johnson is the real deal, Poles looks like a genius and gets to keep his job for as long as he wants and will look like an "architect' building a winner. If he picks someone else and they are bad then he will never be a GM again. It would be so stupid for Poles to not want Johnson, but I don't know the guy or how he thinks - so maybe he would be mad if Johnson starts getting credit or something.
  10. Bears are dumb, but I'm not going to sweat the names coming out on who they are interviewing quite yet. I'll worry more when the "finalists" come out and that list sucks.
  11. Pretty sure the 3 worst records have the exact same odds.
  12. It would be basically impossible to be as bad as they were last year. Everything went wrong with a manager who was doing more harm than good.
  13. O’s continue to sign mid pitching with Charlie Morton.
  14. That was Yolmer.
  15. Wonder if the Sox give him a 2 year deal or something. 2/11 or something of that nature.
  16. He also put together the 2007 bullpen which was an incredibly painful thing to watch.
  17. They added one guy who will play all around the field. I don't think that is disrupting stuff that much. The other two are platooning in RF where we have absolutely no one (since the team hates Colas).
  18. Out of everything wrong with last year's team, it's hard for me to complain about Korey Lee.
  19. Judging by the fact that Rojas would have had the best WAR on the team last year for hitters, it appears he can't be replaced internally. Also, once again - that is not what he acquired in the Crochet deal so obviously he does not "value" that.
  20. I think Rojas plays enough positions around the diamond that the other guys will get plenty of playing time. If they want to start Amaya at SS for a month then that's fine.
  21. Would it also be THAT shocking if Baldwin is in Charlotte or something? It's not like he set the world on fire when he was here.
  22. Yeah, that's totally what he got in the Crochet deal.
  23. Buying yourself some time so you don't bring Colson up immediately?
  24. I don't think that has anything to do with it. A good player would gladly take the Sox money if they handed out an actual big contract.
  25. That is my hope. Then let Rojas split time between 3rd/2nd/OF with Ramos/Sosa getting most of the playtime, but Rojas playing 3/4 or so times a week around the diamond.
