Whitewashed in '05

Jerry is the one who gives KW the money to work with. We didn't spend any of it at the trading deadline. With the postseason success we should have enough money to sign Kong and I think if neccessary Jerry would exclude Thomas' contract from the new payroll. I expect to keep them both here. I highly doubt KW lets Kong go or a healthier Thomas ready for another few seasons. Hopefully I am right.

Did he lose some speed on the FB because the gun said 95. Even last night after Bagwell he was only hitting 95.

I am bored and we need something to talk about until the game so I decided to make a thread about AJ, Crede, and Rowand. We all want AJ back and we know that he most likely will. He has done a great thing with our pitching staff and his attitude around the clubhouse is as good as it gets. From the minute I found out we signed him I knew he would be a huge plus. I just love his attitude, he does ANYTHING to try to win. That's why KW signed him. I don't care what all the experts say about him and his controversy...(cough cough Joe Buck.) This guy wants to win and I love his emotion out on the field. He really has become my favorite player. Then Aaron Rowand, we all knew he has GG defense before the big stage and now he's getting noticed. His hard nosed play also brings a lot to this team. In Boston when he hit the wall trying to catch Graffys double (I think) I couldn't believe his effort. I knew he always gives it his all, but man that really shows he wants every ball hit out to him. I don't believe any of the speculation that he could be traded. He signed a three year deal at a bargain for what he gives us. Then Joe Crede, everyone wanted him gone this offseason, but he has come up big for us lately and we all hope he can play like he is capable of from here on out. We all knew he is a GG type 3rd baseman, but he just wasn't getting it done offensively. Someone wrote an article about him coming out of his shell this season and a lot of it has to do with AJ and Rowand. These 3 guys together are great. I guess the point of this thread is that we have a lot of good players pursuing one goal. We might not have a lot of stars like other teams have that you know will compete for the playoffs every year but I know what we have is capable of doing that. These 3 guys have come up big for us this season no matter what the numbers are (which are decent) and I think all 3 next year will step it up even more. Anyone who wants to toss in some ideas is welcome as it is a little dead here.

It's sad most of the real fans have to sit at home while f***ers who don't even care pay a grand just to say they were there.

Rowand isn't going anywhere for now. The three stooges I am sure are all here to stay for a while. As far as Anderson, he will probably replace Timo next season which I have no problem with. Theres nothing but good things to be said about Anderson and by the small sample we got from him he is great defensively and has potential offensively. As far as Sweeney, Young, and Owens and the other few highly rated OF prospects in our system, I don't know. It has been mentioned that Owens and Young could be candidates to replace Pods and maybe even JD in the long run. Do you guys see any of our OF prospects learning other positions, perhaps 2nd base?? The only knowledge I have of our minor league system is from what I read so correct me if I am off.

For a lot of people, it's prepared!!!

Can anyone fish up how many walks given up by sox pitching this postseason? That another big reason why our pitching is damn good. Tomorrow it's Buehrle vs. Pettite, go get em Mark!!

JOE CREDE!!! Holy s***, this guy is doing it all. He has been f***ing awesome. Also, how about that bullpen!!! Cotts and Jenks taking care of business damnit. What about Count grinding it out, out there. HUGE!!! How about that O? It's true White Sox baseball baby, don't score more than you need and I don't care how many they score as long as its good enough for a W.
