  1. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 6, 2009 -> 01:49 PM) Seriously, SoxTalk needs to get in on this... I agree. Everyone complains about the system, do your part.
  2. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 1, 2009 -> 08:49 PM) CJ posts on a automotive forum I frequent. He's a nice guy. I hope we go yard off of him multiple times. Hope he reads this. He's lucky CQ isn't batting or else he'd go yard off his ass again!
  3. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Apr 30, 2009 -> 12:16 AM) Dunno, but some of you may have jumped the gun a tad bit early on the Swish trade. Actually, yes, many of you did. Let this be a lesson learned. Now Pods (who I'm happy to see on the roster- as a backup...) and Owens will run down balls hit to center. Meanwhile everyone we got for Swisher who has 7 knocks is spitting in the face of that deal. Trading Swisher was the wrong move. I don't give two s***s about how much he was gonna make, how bad he struggled in his first year in a brand new city, what we got in return, at least for now is s***. With his versatility Swisher could cover for Dye, Quentin, Konerko, Anderwise, and even some of the clowns we've had throwing relief. In return we got absolutley nothing. As a fan of most KW moves, this gets an F-, even if Nick had 0 HR's instead of 7. LOL! Best part of that rant.
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 29, 2009 -> 11:39 PM) Man I'm hungry reading these threads. The roast beef/corned beef/pulled pork all sound awesome. I'm with ya on that one. Brat and Sauerkraut with a lot of red sauce.... A must anytime I go to a game. Hungry or not... usually I'm hungry. BTW, the pulled pork sandwich was a rip off at the stadium club when I had it once. It was basically all bread and BBQ sauce. I then went back and got a roast beef at the end of the game and told the girl to put some meat on it this time and boy was I happy... and full.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2009 -> 11:45 PM) He seemed to have more doubles today than the rest of the team has had all season. Wakamatsu did a terrible managing job in pulling Bedard right before the Betemit AB in the 6th. BTW, wasn't it nice to not have our hitter give up an out with a bunt?? Betemit looked great in ST and then out of all the bench players ozzie gives the best one no PT.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2009 -> 11:22 PM) Do people forget how bad Pods was defensively? The few times he was put in CF, he was a triple waiting to happen. If Anderson's out an extended period, KW needs to acquire a new CF or put Alexei in CF. Ozzie even thought putting Pods in CF was a bad idea in 05. That's whats so jacked up about this whole situation. Besides the 5th starter roulette wheel, the 07 bullpen, this leadoff hitter/CF crap ranks up there with the worse moves or lack of moves he's made in his career.
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 29, 2009 -> 06:39 PM) Since BA was the starter, if he goes on the DL, does he regain his starting job when he comes back from injury? You just opened up a whole new can of worms...
  8. Easy 1-2-3 for Bobby! I love those! He was popping it today. Even with that ugly blonde facial hair. Jr looked overmatched.
  9. QUOTE (soxfan420 @ Apr 26, 2009 -> 04:30 PM) Where have all the ba haters gone to now? Its still too early to call anyone out right now. He has looked good, but this is a game of adjustments. Give him at least a month. I will say this though, its really nice seeing him produce right now. Is it possible for us to have 3 position players from our system have success at once? I hope so.
  10. This is a game that the sox should have won. I knew those runners we left on in the first would come back to bite us.
  11. I hope that failed opportunity doesn't end up biting us later.
  12. This blows... can we ever have a decent leadoff hitter?
  13. I don't know why, but it seems like Thome has been with the sox a lot longer than he has been. Same with AJ. It's been a pleasure watching him crush some balls. His first AB when he crushed that ball, someone has a sig of that picture here. His walkoff 500, although when I think about that one it hurts me that we didn't get to see Frank do it in our uniform. Game 163 last year when I was there. Just awesome moments I won't ever forget.
  14. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Apr 26, 2009 -> 10:54 AM) When the Sox were playing the Twins on Fox two weekends ago it was funny watching Southpaw move around behind the plate when Liriano was pitching. I don't know if it affected Liriano, but that was the inning he kept walking people. He was doing that yesterday. Does anyone remember if that was when Burres was on the mound?
  15. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 25, 2009 -> 02:08 PM) His role will be garbage time unless there's an extra long game or something like that. You just have to hope Ozzie doesn't get carried away and uses him when a game is on the line when he doesn't have to. If our starters (specifically Floyd and Contreras) have trouble pitching into the 5th we will be seeing Broadway.
  16. Ozzie has problems with people who act like fools and don't perform. It only got worse when he benched Swish and he started pouting.
  17. GOD just playing his game. and THOME with a solo!
  18. Ozzie must be in heaven. Owens and Lilli playing at the same time.
  19. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 12:17 AM) The CY Young might come out of the Central again, and it'll be Danks'. I like the way that sounds better.
