White Sox vs. Yankees, 4/22, 7:11, CSN
Whitewashed in '05 replied to MHizzle85's topic in 2008 Season in Review
Comon guys don't you think we can come back? -
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 16, 2008 -> 07:50 PM) No dude, you fill find every tourist in chicago at one of those places. Do you like lounges or clubs or just bars? Oh s***, I'm glad I mentioned it. Clubs and bars. Just somewhere I can have a wild/fun night out meeting some good looking women and having fun with friends. Like I mentioned before, some good hip hop and/or rock music. BTW this is exactly why I asked for some input on places to go. As you can see not great recommendations there.
-
Haha I guess I didn't get specific enough. What are some good bars/clubs to go to? Tinley and north burbs seem to be a popular choice. Rock, I'm looking for some hip hop and rock music with lots of girls. No techno, reggaeton stuff... I heard rush/division was a good spot because of all the places within walking distance which is what I would like. Are Crobar, Hugs and Hunnies, and Coyote Ugly any good? I was told about some other places, but can't remember the names... Since I live close to tinley i'm sure I'll be there plenty in the future so I would like spots that I wouldn't always go to. I have friends that go to bourbon st all the time so I'll stay away from there this weekend too. I'll definitely refer back to this in the future so even if I don't go to these places for my bday I'll keep them in mind.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 08:12 AM) NO team who has started 0-7 has ever made the playoffs FWIW I know you're just throwing that out there, but I wouldn't really put much stock in those stats. Can anyone find out how many of those teams that started 0-7 ended up losing 90+ games or just under .500 in general? What I mean is that probably those teams weren't meant to be good to begin with. I'm not saying the Tigers don't have any holes because they do have some big ones. Then again they can end up like the 07 sox. Expected to do a lot and everyone just had a bad year at the same time.

I am turning 21 this Thursday! I need some suggestions for a some nice spots to go to. I live in the south side 'burbs. What are some good places to go to downtown?
-
Looks like the Kitties offense has woken up. 7 runs 13 hits thus far threatening to tie it up at 9 versus the Twinkies.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!

Hell yeah!!!! Kong and Joe just kicking the kitties further and further down to hell. If they have another 2 weeks like this, they are done! Javy Konerko JOEEE!!!! -
QUOTE (BobDylan @ Apr 11, 2008 -> 03:34 PM) Maggs throwing karate kicks was the highlight of those two brawls. I was at that game. What a great time. I've heard about Maggs and his karate a bunch of times, but I didn't see it! Damn it!

"With the game on the line, Hawk told me if you see Joe grab your sack." "Grab your sack when Hawk says JOEEEEEEEE CREEEDEEE!!!!"

Screw all the facial hair on the team right now. Hermy owns all.

The Start of a Season, Why Are You Here?
Whitewashed in '05 replied to Texsox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The attitude and quality of posts starts with the team. If the sox are doing well everyone's discussing the great aspects in xxx's game. The great plays, wins, moves by management, etc. If the sox aren't doing well everyone panics and complains about certain players/managers. Last season I would read some and then when the sox frustrated ME I would try not to visit soxtalk. Every once in a while I might vent in 1 or 2 posts. I would also say before posting think about it. This has to come from the posters though. The forum is for discussion and if topics are being banned because of it, while you are removing the "junk" you are removing people's thoughts. -
Vazquez (0-1) vs. Blackburn (0-1): HOME OPENER!
Whitewashed in '05 replied to TitoMB345's topic in 2008 Season in Review
Seeing as how Javy is supposed to be one of our horses, its nice to see the Twins offense scoring a run each inning. That Detriot lineup the backend of the rotation handled was nothing compared to this... -
I still miss Jon! He's a former member of the big 4.

Frank Thomas! My man!

Buehrle (0-0) vs. Verlander (0-0)- KEEP IT UP!!
Whitewashed in '05 replied to TitoMB345's topic in 2008 Season in Review
QUOTE(RME JICO @ Apr 6, 2008 -> 10:14 PM) Just think how we will be when they start hitting. This isn't totally bad either. Some guys are going to cool off and if those 3 start warming up at the same time it will sort of even it out. -
QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 4, 2008 -> 10:55 PM) So, who do you want in your sig? I was thinking something with Buehrle's no hitter and Thome's #500 or just something with Buehrle and Konerko.
-
Lol... After the foot was taken out, Thom, "First ever career game ending home run to win a game for Encarnacion" Jeff, "I think thats his first walk off home run"
-
QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 3, 2008 -> 09:14 PM) That depends... Any n00ds of your avatar chick? are you ready for the answer?
-
My sig is very outdated so I would like a new one. So, whose up for the challenge? PM me.

May a curse be on your house, oh tribe of Cleveland!

So how are we so much improved over last year?? -
I read the first page of the thread, but couldn't find anything about what the three bad calls were. Since I missed the game, can anyone give me a recap? Thanks

Alexei Ramirez to start at CF on Opening Day?
Whitewashed in '05 replied to DaTank's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(BearSox @ Mar 28, 2008 -> 04:28 PM) From what I've seen of Ramirez, he's one of the better hitters we have, IMO. He has an excellent approach, a nice swing, and just knows how to hit. Anderson and Quentin should both get their playing time, but so should Ramirez. I have no problem with Ramirez playing CF in certain matchups. But you're right, Ramirez shouldn't be the outright starter. Well everything I've heard is Ramirez is a major league fastball hitter, but the offspeed stuff is going to kill him. Just look at how Grienke handled him. -
