  1. QUOTE(3E8 @ Mar 8, 2007 -> 06:53 PM) How did the hell did they do that? That was insane.
  2. QUOTE(rpmahr @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 10:41 AM) what about bring haegar in for a bull pen role this year? our bull pen is filled with power pitchers and we need someone to throw off hitters. he could be a solid set up man for jenks. It would give a different look, but the knuckler is a feel pitch and by getting innings here and there won't let him lock-in with the pitch. He needs to be a starter, IMO.
  3. Next year Cunningham will be on that list. Book it. He is a stud and it would not surprise me to see him put up a .300, 20 HR, 20 SB line this year with a fair amount of walks. He will be our next outfield stud.
  4. Danks is pretty good, I like this kid.
  5. Jon Garland with a solid 3 innings there, good for him. His stuff looked pretty good for this time in Spring Training.
  6. Mizzou will give Texas a run for its money after they beat Baylor.
  7. Garland versus Rich Hill. Anyone know who else is supposed to pitch for the Sox?
  8. I still feel Danks is the best option. Floyd is a bust for a reason, Danks is an up-and-comer. I know that it would be nice to get him some more AAA, but the kid has the mental makeup to succeed in the bigs even if he starts off a little rough.
  9. Nice to get into the win column. Now tomorrow is gonna be fun, even though its just spring training there is gonna be some trash talking between me and my roommate.
  10. It's 4-2, how did we get two more? Who pitched besides Gavin?
  11. I am hoping that Owens is allowed to run wild when he gets on. Let's hope he gets on base because he could steal 4+ bags today.
  12. Lets get 'em. No chance the 670 will broadcast this game online?

where did u get this info? Are you in Arizona?
  14. I would prefer the draft not to be between 8-9 on Monday b/c of 24. I can do any late night time, though.
  15. Frank has not always been nice to the media, but I have never once heard that he was a bad teammate. I love the man and always will, he will always be my favorite player in a White Sox uni and favorite baseball player ever. Can't wait till he is enshrined in Cooperstown.
  16. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 09:49 PM) Ok State should be no where near a NCAA bid at this point. yeah they lost to Missouri at home and although Missouri is underrated, they are not that good. They have struggled mighty bad down the stretch.
  17. i just remember in 2000 when we played the Cubbies and he and Sosa had an epic battle in the 9th, which ended with a Sosa bomb to tie the game. Then, the game went i think 13 innings and we won on a Herbert Perry double down the 3rd base line that scored Durham (or it was the other way around, i can't remember.) But, I just remember how happy I was at the stadium that day.
  18. The deal they offered him last year was for around $5.5 million per year, so not quite Urlacher money. You kind of see him being greedy, but then gotta realize in the NFL one play can ruin your career and the money is not guarenteed. This is potentially the only time in his career where he will be able to make this kind of money, his value is at an all-time high, can't blame the guy for wanting to get paid.

BTW, today is That's What She Said Day, according the ever-popular facebook group.

  21. you betcha.
  22. Fields is looking like a strong possibility to start in LF if Pods can't go.
  23. QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Jan 27, 2007 -> 08:26 PM) yup. im just glad that hunter, santana, nathan and hafner will more than likely be gone. minn, clev, det, there all middle-market teams and i dont think they can afford those players. if we "cant afford" our own players such as crede, dye, buehrle, garcia, etc, i have a hard time believing they can. im sure santana will be gone though, hopefully to the nl I agree Santana is gone, but Nathan has said he will take a discount to remain a Twin for the rest of his career. Hafner will be in Cleveland for awhile too, they are commited to keeping their young core.
  24. ESPN Radio Daily Mike and Mike Sometimes PTI, when I don't catch the actual episode.
  25. Thanks, Rick is a great asset for the Sox. I would be surprised to see him as the Sox asst. GM for much longer, somebody is gonna offer him a job.
