  1. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 13, 2015 -> 12:59 PM) This works very well and is, frankly, awesome. Ya, it's great. Was in upper deck on Saturday and moved down multiple rows; lower bowl on Sunday in great seats for the price. Extremely happy with the purchase.
  2. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 13, 2015 -> 08:33 AM) I think most people were fine with Connor at 3B going into the season. If he's one of your 2 worst position players, you'll be okay. Maybe you replace him midseason, maybe you dont. It's not like he's plagued us with 3 years of being inept like a certain catcher. Still think Soto will be the starter sooner than later. Conor v. RHP and Gordon v. LHP should produce a pretty solid OPS for the position. Individually, neither of them are special (Conor would be an average 3B, Beckham a below-average 3B) but platooning them should net above-average production out of third base for very little money.
  3. To update my own post, the app is now working for me.
  4. Been dating my girlfriend for 2.5 years, living with one another since September. Won't propose probably until at least one year living together. More so just not in a rush to get married than waiting on some specific time frame.
  5. QUOTE (gatnom @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 11:41 AM) It's my understanding that they text you 2 hours before game time where your seats will be. The App itself allows you into the game without actual tickets for a specific seat.
  6. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 11:19 AM) It's not suppose to work for today. I know that, but the game it is supposed to work for is in about 24 hours and the app is not cooperating with me yet.
  7. Anybody try using the App to get the tickets? I have seen both April 10 and April 11 that the app should be working to access the tickets. I have had no luck thus far with the app. Anyone else who bought a pass try the app yet?
  8. Really good article to add to the Brady Aiken debate: http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/12648769...my-john-surgery
  9. 2009 Beckham would hit a line drive to RF for a base hit here.
  10. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 07:37 PM) That was close to his head, uncalled for. If you are going to throw at someone don't throw it at his head You aim for the ass. Leave a mark, makes the butt hurt, but no serious injury risk.
  11. QUOTE (beautox @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 07:26 PM) this, god i can't wait for a fresh take in the booth in the near future. I would seriously rather hear Stone interview Christine O'Reilly about White Sox community efforts for three hours than to hear Hawk talk about [insert player x] is [insert superlative].
  12. I have heard Hawk for approximately 15 minutes, and I am already sick of him. Sigh.
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 12:18 PM) One of those QB's is not like the others..... QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 8, 2015 -> 12:22 PM) Rivers shouldn't be on that list. Adding Rivers wasn't to suggest he was as good as Manning, Brady, Brees and Rodgers, I just felt compelled to have a top five. His numbers are eerily similar to Big Ben, so I definitely understand that Roethlisberger could be arguably better than Rivers. The two Super Bowls certainty help his cause. If Rivers had the defenses the Steelers did back in the mid to late 2000s, I think Rivers might have one a Super Bowl or two. But to re-iterate my point, there is a top four of "elite" and then the next group of "not-quite-elite-but-very-good," which I have Rivers headlining of the last decade.
  14. First, I don't think the Bears could actually move from #7 to #2 just by trading Cutler. But regardless, if that is the deal, I would do it without hesitation and then trade the #2 pick to get more picks unless Winston slipped to No. 2. While Mariotti has unique skills, we have seen what type of QB constantly gets his team in the playoffs and that is your prototypical pocket QB. The best QBs of the last decade has been undeniably: Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Brees and probably Rivers rounding out the top five. The best QBs are the pocket QBs, and that is what the Bears need. IMO, Winston can be that guy, Mariotti cannot.
  15. I say at least 60/40 Rahm. I think people are realizing that while Rahm has his issues, Garcia is a man without a plan. I cannot trust someone who says "just elect me and then I will figure things out." Rahm may be an asshole, arrogant and all that, but I think he has Chicago trending in the right direction.
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 5, 2015 -> 01:13 PM) I hope they see something that is correctible, because he seems pretty worthless. And speaking of worthless, thank God for Worth, IL. Without it the entire state would be worthless. Sadly, though, anyone else we could run out as the last reliever is worthless (Surkamp, Webb, Cleto, etc.). We have an incredibly thin bullpen, and we need to pray Crain somehow gets healthy and that Jones can return for the playoff run.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 4, 2015 -> 04:37 PM) The shoulder injury changed everything. In hindsight, the deal on paper was terrific for the White Sox. Danks, unfortunately, got hurt and thus his game has suffered. But if he did not get hurt, we are looking at $14 million per year for a legit #2 starter who would still be in his prime. The injury sucked, but without it, it would be a value contract for the White sox.
  18. QUOTE (LDF @ Apr 4, 2015 -> 03:20 PM) the pro's are saying, if i remember correctly, a ted williams, ken griffey jr and i can't think of the 3 player, kind of swing. 170 lbs to 190 lbs.... a lot of natural weight gain for a hs'er, and i am sure a lot of it is also muscles. That is my favorite video of his. Wood bat and he just crushes the ball to center.
  19. QUOTE (LDF @ Apr 4, 2015 -> 07:14 AM) i agree with what you are proposing. KyYlE23 brought up a good point, as much as we, the fans hate to admit it, he may be a problem in the rotation. he is a pro, so being motivated to pitch his best should always be on his mind, even if he was working on things during these spring games. but to use others performances to make a point, nah, if he got lit up, that is a problem. again, he is a professional and should pitch his best. btw, i am a Danks fan and it is hard to keep rooting for him. I don't think he may, he definitely is. He is the only one in the rotation that really doesn't bring anything to the table. Sale-Shark-Q are obviously top-of-the-rotation arms. Noesi, while still learning to harness his stuff, has stuff. He can reach the mid-90s, has a decent change-up, etc. Danks, meanwhile, does not have stuff anymore. His terrific change change-up that he used to have is mitigated by the 4-6 MPH he has lost on his fastball. He basically has become Mark Buehrle without the command. And Mark Buehrle without command is a reliever. Unfortunately, the Sox hands are tied. He is due $28 million and he still is better than anything they have in Charlotte except for Rodon who not only needs to work on some aspects of his game in Charlotte, but also has a service-time issue. We are stuck with Danks for at least a month in the rotation. If both him and Noesi suck, we have big problems. If just Danks sucks, then I do not think the Sox will hesitate to swap Rodon and Danks.
  20. As a draft follower, I generally prefer college pitchers to anything else and then college players overall as opposed to high school players (maybe I am jaded since all the high school players the Sox take bust), but man, if Aiken is there when the Sox pick, I would really think about that. To think you could get two Ace-left-handed starters in back-to-back drafts would be a great result. Plus, the Sox would have immense leverage over Aiken in terms of money. You probably could get him at slot, as I highly doubt he would risk not signing AGAIN.
  21. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Apr 3, 2015 -> 08:50 AM) Yeah that's awful. I know it's early in the season, but I would have a hard time picking a high school kid top ten overall when he is batting under .300 on the season. I was no-bat, all-glove high school baseball player and even I hit around his current average.
  22. Well... https://twitter.com/kileymcd/status/583357147758485504
  23. Those lines have only moved because Sox and Cubs fans were putting money on the teams when they were 30/1 and 50/1, respectively.
  24. Bought two passes. Even if I make five games over the course of the first two months, I will call it well worth the money.
