No chance in hell... this guy is over the hill, I don't even want him as a back up/bench player
-
This has a chance to get really bad in the next 5-10 years, as far as I can tell a lot of players used steroids, and those things f*** your body up really bad
-
Baker will never get any credit from me as long as he rolls out his young son everytime something goes wrong. I can't believe that Hendry hasn't told him to knock that crap off. It's ridiculous that he uses his son as a shield in press conferences
-
f*** yeah, D- Lee grounds out. Cubs lost!! They just made that rally to twist the knife in their fans backs
-
Wow, he struck out, but not over yet, D-Lee is a good hitter
-
f***, Patterson can nail fastball pitchers and this is all this guy throws.... I have a feeling it's ball game here,

Basically Stone said a few things before, during, and after the game yesterday. Before the game- Stone said that the Cubs players have to stand up and win this game for Dusty since he stood up for them all year long, and basically covered for them when they did things wrong on and off the field. During- He came out and said what should be done BEFORE things happened, such as they should keep an eye on Dunn in the 12th on 1st (which they didn't and he scored), that Remlinger shouldn't be pitching to Dunn at all (then Dunn got a single which made him something like 6-7 off of him). Then he said they shouldn't pitch to Javier Valentine, which they did and he hit the game winning double. It should be stressed that he said all of this before things went wrong, they weren't second guessing, and then after the plays happened you could hear the disgust in his voice. After- Stone went on WGN and RIPPED on the Cubs for being such a talented team and struggling so much. then today Dusty and Henry were asked about it and they both said that they don't understand why he was saying these things and said it got "personal". The personal statement is absolutely ridiculous, the comments by Stone were not personal at all, they were all baseball related...

Sittin Here Watchin the Flubs Game
SoxFan562004 replied to BDavisFutureHOF's topic in Pale Hose Talk
his AB's have decreased I believe because of injuries... and not nagging ones where he just refuses to play, I think they've been legit injuries where he's hurt himself hustling on plays -
Sittin Here Watchin the Flubs Game

that would be good, but I think the Reds LOVE Kearns because they were even talking about moving him to 3b since they have a backlog in the OF... plus he is cheap and will be cheap for a few more years -
Can we as soxtalk.com send Kearns something? I don't know, free drinks, pick up his dinner tab... this guy is AWESOME!!! Oh yeah, if the Braves weren't going to do all they can to prevent facing the Cubs in the first round, they will after Prior's outing today I might have to name my first born son Beckett Kearns
-
That's definitely a tough call... the Astros are red hot, similar to the way the Marlins and Angels were when they won the world series, so they could be a steamroller. However, I don't care how s***tily they have pitched this year, Prior and Wood are still REAL intimidating, especially in a short series.
-
Astros! Watching Roger Clemens is amazing.
-
f*** YEAH!!! I don't care if people call me a "bad Sox fan" because I hate the Cubs... Screw them and screw their fans when/if Cubs are officially eliminated I am going to post a dirty, hurtful rant
-
s***, Lee is the only Cub who didn't choke last year (because he was on the Marlins, but still) I see this atleast being tied
-
that's thrown out the window by how bad/injured the Reds are, it's insane that they are struggling with them this much
-
why was he trying to get the lead runner!??!?!?!?!?!? his run doesn't count for s***
-
A-Ram is scary, if he gets up with people on it could be Game Over (and unfortunately the Reds don't have Gagne)
-
C-pat walked to lead off... f***
-
bottom of the 12th, 4-2 reds, top of the order to ya' Not sure if Valentine is coming in, but his K/BB ratio is something like 25/23, so this game FAR from over
-
4-2 top 12 runners on 1 and 2 with 1 out... Wuertz in Lechiester out
-
while Bernstein and Boers have refused to do anything but lap the Cubs nuts about their playoff chance, they have refused to let the fans use the injury excuse they usually point to two things 1. The starts Rusch (sp?) made in place of Prior/Wood were great and the record reflects that 2. How did the Cubs fans feel when they got Nomar and the remaining schedule that shuts the fans up pretty well (try it with your friends, it works!)
-
eh, the Reds bullpen BLOWS!!! and the cubs have some thunder coming up, and they've proved they can hit terrible pitching, so I won't mark this one in the win column for the Reds quite yet... Also, I want to preempt any "sign Barry Larkin" posts on the main board, he said he wants to come back next year, but if we are going to give an old SS a chance I want it to be Omar
-
Or anyone listening to the radio? Santo must have s*** his pants, well I think he does that anyways caveat though, as Farmio would say "top of the order to ya'" for the Cubs in the bottom
-
Holy F'n s*** Kearns with a dong!!! Is a sportings wear store open, MLB might have just got $150 out of me for a Kearns jersey
