For Hudson I would say yes, I would be hesitant for Zito... Sox would still need to add a bat unless the team determined that Sweeney or Anderson are that far along

the national ESPN radio update is saying Finley to Angels is all but done 2 years about 15-16m Adding to that either Stark or Gammons is saying the Yankees may go crazy to sign Beltran (maybe why the Angels shyed away) to make up for the Giambi fallout. Also said Astros will go far to resign him and the Orioles could be a quiet team. I know Stark said the Cubs can't think about Beltran unless Sammy is moved

I'm pretty sure this isn't his walk year... I want to say next year is... with that said if the Sox trade Lee they have to get a bat somewhere... It would be just losing to much offense, because then the Dye signing washing away fears that Borchard was going to get a shot suddenly come surging back

I think at the money it is a very nice signing...

Only way I think it could involve both is KW getting Hillebrand or another bat back because then you would lose Maggs and PK from the lineup replacing it with Dye and Gload... Vazquez doesn't make that big of a difference in the rotation to justify that

I've given KW a lot of s*** (most of it in fun, but some people don't like that), but at the money I like the signing. Especially since I just heard on the radio he's only 30... I thought he was older than that

Clayton was on ESPN Radio and said that the way they structured this signing they'll be able to make a run at signing Edge to an extension or at worse franchise him next year

When KW was on with Boers and Bernstein Boers said "So can we talk to you when the Dye signing is official?" and KW just went quiet and snickered then said "I'm sorry, my phone broke up, what did you ask?" -It's on the KW on the radio post.... So nothing official, but it sounds that KW is at least interested in him

they have updates at 40 after the hour.... usually a minute or two, so they'll go to KW right after the update is over... What do you guys think KW is going to say? Is he going to say he's fine with what they have on their roster now and only looking to tweak, or is he going to say he's still pursuing a "top of the rotation" starter?

as much as I enjoyed watching Maggs play there's no way the Sox could have offered him arbitration without a physical. I think it's insane that Boras is now saying a workout is not necessary, he'll just give teams paperwork. Any team that is signing him based on that (espically since Boras was the one promosing a workout) deserve any trainwreck they get
