  1. I just got done making a remix of a song using a trial version of Cool Edit Pro V.2, but I can't make the song an mp3 because the trial version only allows a max recording of 1 minute. I downloaded a couple audio recorders, but I can't figure them out and the longest recording sample I found was for 3 minutes. Does anyone know of an easy to use audio recorder that will let me record this as an Mp3? Or does anyone here have the complete version of Cool Edit and could make the mp3 for me if I sent the file? (Winodj, Flasoxxjim?) Any help would be appreciated.
  2. QUOTE(flippedoutpunk @ Apr 1, 2005 -> 03:55 PM) i love cream pies <{POST_SNAPBACK}> :headshake You obviously didn't learn from your parents' mistakes. Just messin'
  3. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 1, 2005 -> 12:26 PM) Last year i got a ton of people with my away message that said deron williams was going to the nba. It had to have about a 90% success rate. You want a good april fool's joke, that was it, especially with the majority of people on my buddy list being from down here. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Here's my away message today. 5 UNC players arrested for shoplifting!

  6. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 06:23 PM) His zone rating was also among the best in the league too, but I can't seem to find both his 2004 zone rating and the league leaders for zone rating in 04. IIRC, he had the best zone rating in the AL. Really, the only knocks on Jose defensively are an erratic throwing arm and bad hands. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Still doesn't mean s*** to me!
  7. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 06:55 PM) This logic -- that making one dumb mistake makes your analysis automatic garbage forever more -- I don't agree with that at all. How many posters here would have any credibility left if that rule were applied? This is just a way of trying to attack someone's arguments without looking at the arguments, which I'll never accept. I know that many people here hate sabermetrics. Fine, don't listen to Neyer. I think sabermetrics has a good deal of value, yet I'm often sceptical of his opinions. But judging from what I've read, he knows a LOT of baseball history, loves the game, and is anything but a 'hack'. Trying to throw out everything he's written on forgetting where the great Jermaine Dye signed (c'mon, "bargain" does not mean "cornerstone") is weak. Btw, I believe he did put the A's on the 10 worst offseason list -- no? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm not discounting his opinion, I just don't think he is that well-informed about the AL Central. These sabermatricians can keep calling the 2003 Marlins or the previous 3 Twins teams flukes because of their run differentials, but the fact is the Twins have a very good chance of winning the AL Central even if they "only" win their games by 1 run.
  8. It's official. We'll start at 1 PM, the appetizers will be served at 1:30 PM, and then the game will be from 2-5. It's only $3 per person, so you're more than welcome to bring any of your friends that are Sox fans. Hope to see everyone who can make it there!
  9. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 05:51 PM) Got it. A journalist who forgets a single signing (and then publicly admits his mistake) is clearly an utter moron, worthy only of derision till the end of his career. So does this apply to posters too? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There was no excuse for Neyer to forget the Dye signing considering he called Dye the best free agent bargain not too long before writing that article. He also blamed his "sources" for forgetting to list Dye. He deserves the criticism.
  10. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 05:07 PM) Garcia.. Which pitcher do we get.. First 1/2 form lof last year or 2nd half? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Garcia pitched very well with the Sox last season. Like any pitcher at the Cell last season, his numbers became inflated. I posted them yesterday Road Stats with the Sox: 3.25 ERA 1.04 WHIP .585 OPS against 10.15 K/9
  11. Olivo wasn't good defensively, but he had a good arm. Kurkjian used the "people I talked to say the White Sox will win the division" line a couple of months ago because someone he talked to said the Sox had a great rotation because Garland is the fifth starter.
  12. QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 10:59 AM) I dont care about fish, especially fish that kill you.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What about bears?
  13. I'd make that trade. Pods will owned the stolen base crown, Rowand will be productive, and IIRC Oliver Perez had the highest K/9 rate last year.
  14. The sample sizes are too small, but just remember after coming to the Sox last season, Garcia had a road ERA of 3.25, road WHIP of 1.04, a .585 OPS against on the road , and a 10.15 K/9 on the road.

  16. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 11:22 PM) Exactly, next thing you know he'll be on Survivor or something. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's probably been "blackballed" from Survivor.
  17. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 01:30 PM) I also go by the name 'Captain Obvious' <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're going to have to take that up with Capn12. QUOTE(BobDylan @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 05:39 PM) Statesville anyone? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'd rather see the asshole stay on the west coast, and not 15-20 miles from my home.
  18. Carl is crushing the ball this spring. I was able to get him in the 21st round in our 12 team league.
  19. QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 11:09 PM) Some time after my posts on the subject, that exact thought crossed my mind. I don't know the answer, however. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I quoted you as my source. I did get a response back from him. I guess that's what they teach journalists in College. :rolly
  20. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 04:13 AM) http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...guenum=&id=6835 Is there any doubt now that Konerko should have been an All-Star last season over Ken Harvey? :headshake <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Royals didn't have anyone else to send.
  21. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 11:55 AM) I'm asking those of you who are both diehard Illini fans (alumni, or current students) AND diehard Sox fans the following: What would bring you greater joy, an NCAA basketball championship, or a W.S. victory for the Sox? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would say a White Sox World Series, EXCEPT for this year because I am currently attending the school.
  22. QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 05:18 PM) dude thats not even funny at all.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They show it all the time on PTI. Tony said he found out that the bear was ok.
