So I was sitting at lunch today, and Kelvin Sampson walks up to our table and takes Scott Martin aside to say hello. He drove up four hours just to say hello to Scotty because that's all that is legal at this stage in recruiting I guess. Apparently he met with Rob Hummel too, so that could be good news for you IU fans. Scotty was thrilled to have Sampson come to meet with him, it was a really random but awesome thing.

If I was a boss I would definitely want to interview the person face to face to get a better idea of the person. If I was looking for a job, I would imagine an over the phone interview would be much easier. You could do it in your PJs.

Why is he eating at Denny's?? He's an NFL player, I wouldn't even eat at Denny's, that place is dirrty.

Well I turned down tickets to last night's game and ended up having the worst day of my life instead. Thank you Sox for salvaging some of my night last night. Let's go out there and sweep them with our hottest pitcher on the mound this afternoon!

So now I know what it feels like to have my heart ripped out of my chest, stomped on, kicked, and thrown into the garbage can. Not fun. And I had to turn down a chance to go to tonight's game because of it.

18 is the record for any string of games, not just to start the season??

Hopefully heading out to the Cell tomorrow for my second game of the year. We have tickets for 4 more, but I'm hoping to spend most of my money that I make this summer on Sox games and go to double digit games.

I buy Monster Energy drinks in bulk at Costco. It's about $1.25 per can when I buy a case there, so it's worth it. They've gotten me through countless late nights and early mornings. And they taste great too.

My coach freshman year made us cut our hair basically in a buzz cut and we couldn't have facial hair. It's not a big deal. JR's the boss, he can do what he wants.

I know when I pitched, when I walked guys I got pissed at myself and would let my emotions show. In Freddy's position today, he was basically being a closer for the first time in his career because we all knew there was going to be a long delay and most likely a called game after the final out was recorded. Gooch could have gotten that last out, but he didn't and the potential winning run was put on first with the tying run in scoring position. Nobody can say they wouldn't have been mad at Iguchi, and I'm sure Gooch, like the rest of us, were pissed as hell at Freddy when he kept walking guys in.

Not at all. Freddy's a competitor. Iguchi has been doing great this year, and that would have been a tough play. The ball skipped off the puddles in the infield, no big deal. Press is just looking for something to talk about.

Three homers and a walkoff to beat the Reds. 5 rbis in the game, now tied for MLB lead with 8 homers.
