Im probably in the minority on this one but there was a guest on CNBC that made a great point yesterday. The government needs to get out of the business of subsidizing airlines. Its clear that the legacy carriers such as Delta, AMR and UAL with their bloated business models can't hack it in this environment. Instead of the feds turning the major airlines into a flying version of Amtrack ( which these subsidies are essentially doing ), let consolidation and market forces weed out the weak. In the end everyone would be better off.

There's hardly a day that goes by when someone on CNBC, be it Bartiromo, Insana or Cramer on his show, talk about what a disaster that merger was and when is TWX gonna wise up and dump AOL. I guess someone is finally listening.

I do because at the same time they are filling up kids with a bunch of revisionist history which teaches them to hate America and preaching "tolerance" for anything and everything EXCEPT for the Judeao Christian values this country was founded on. Newdow, and anyone who agrees with him can go straight to hell.
