  1. POP UP...AJ catches it (PHEW) and 2 outs.
  2. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 22, 2006 -> 08:01 PM) Since CSN says one runner is on.. did Chavez advance too? According to DJ, no, but now Chavez just stole 2nd so f***.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ May 22, 2006 -> 08:00 PM) Our defense is choking big time....AGAIN! Its happening all too often the past couple weeks. We could have about 3 more wins (easily) in just the past 10 days.
  4. f***, AJ seems to be having a hell of a time, but luckily Chavez doesn't get to 2nd since he was zoning out.
  5. QUOTE(JimH @ May 22, 2006 -> 07:59 PM) Walking Chavez to get to Thomas. Got to throw away away away to Big Frank and see if he can roll into something. Than again I'm not convinced Frank can hit a good Bobby Jenks fastball. However, Thomas will be cheating 100% for that FB middle in.
  6. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 22, 2006 -> 07:56 PM) Royce Ring!!! We were picking much higher than, but I knew that would come up. That was a horrid move, I'm more so talking about a guy with legimiate stuff (1st round stuff) who happens to be a reliever. Think Cordero, Street and obviously Wagner (who was a bad pick). f*** Ozuna loses yet another ball out in left. I'm not going to slam Pablo, its more Ozzie for leaving him out there in a close game like this.
  7. Bmac up in the pen. On a sidenote, can Comcast and WGN fix there freaking radar guns. They have been off for at least 2 straihght games. AHhh phew, Ozuna makes the catch (always nervous with him out in left).
  8. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 22, 2006 -> 07:54 PM) 4 ER in 6.1 IP... but he gave up 10 hits and 2 walks. Ya, but all of that came early in the game. So I assume he did actually pitch pretty good after that one bad inning (and than the following inning where he had a little trouble as well).
  9. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 22, 2006 -> 07:54 PM) Street is finding a groove, lets knock him out of it... Street is darn good. I'm hoping we can find a studly reliever via the draft (that could really help us right away, but it doesn't seem like there are many guys, if any fitting that mold this year).
  10. So did Garland end up buckling down and doing pretty good the rest of the way?
  11. I just got home from a project, so I assume they called Thome out on a bad pitch?
  12. Garland picked things up to finish the inning better. Kendall gave him a good AB despite Garland making a lot of good pitches. I don't get it with Jon...its just about finishing right now for him cause I still think his stuff is there. He's just off a bit with his approach and its getting in his head and I just hope he doesn't start really tweaking his mechanics or anything like that. Coop is a damn good pitching coach and Jon had a nice start last time out, I am curious to see how he finishes this game up cause he really hasn't looked bad out there, sans 2 hitters (against Frank I'm chalking that up to the s*** job by Eddings).
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ May 22, 2006 -> 05:37 PM) The Tigers match up great against a team like KC. Their pitching is good enough to hold them to a few runs, and their hitters will put up a good showing every game against them. I'm still not sure how people can look at the Tigers talent, and not think that they'll be in the thick of the race the entire season. I don't get how people didn't see it. This is a team that was loaded with offensive talent and has been developing guys like Verlander, Bonderman and Maroth all while picking up a pretty darn good vet in Kenny Rogers. I still think there pen will implode and bite them late in the year, but the Tigers are a good team with a very good manager. Damn...there was some movement on that sinker.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ May 22, 2006 -> 05:35 PM) Tigers up 5-0. They're getting some nice production from their SS/CF lately. They are a darn good team and will at least take 2 of 3 from KC if not a sweep. Right now its too early in the season to be scoreboard wathcing though and the Sox have the firepower to win this thing. Right now we just need to get back into a groove and get on a roll. Definately have a tough tough stretch this next month, so if we hold with Detroit we should be in good shape and we will have some games against Cle and Detroit these next 30 days that could be statement games for us.
  15. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 22, 2006 -> 05:33 PM) Why is Singleton asking where Logan is when you need him? ROFL at Singleton...By the way, real genius, force the squirrel into the stands.
  16. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ May 22, 2006 -> 05:29 PM) for a guy whose confidence is shaky, this ain't good. Football in the groin! Ozzie stuck with Jon there. The zone was f***ing horrid, about as bad as I've seen all season. Jon needs to get the ball in, but aside from that he's looking fine tonight and I don't expect a lot of runs given up by him. Problem is we need to score off Zito and just blew a golden opportunity ( couldn't get the 2 out hit).
  17. I love Ozzie, but god I love DJ's analysis. Hawk has his head too far up his ass to give quality analysis like DJ is giving about Ozzie's ejection.
  18. But that was about a foot from being a 3rd hr.
  19. QUOTE(fathom @ May 22, 2006 -> 05:26 PM) Haha....way to keep it in the park Garland. How can a sinker baller give up so many homers? You can thank the ump for that one. However, the next one is all on Garland.
  20. Nice HR by Frank, but you can thank the ump for making Jon throw a get me over. Good god that was a s***ty job of calling strikes. By the way, great reception for Frank.
  21. Bulls***...talk about a squeeze job with Frank at the plate.
  22. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ May 22, 2006 -> 04:23 PM) i dig the sanford and son theme music. Jason, two words about graduation: grad school. delay the anguish as long as you can I know...I am sure within 2 or 3 years Ill be back in school going for the whole MBA thing. But for now I'm happy to convince myself these will be the last finals I take for a while (until that whole stupid CPA Exam).
  23. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 22, 2006 -> 03:41 PM) Great...we get some tears in his eyes and he struggles to see the ball more, thus making it easier on our pitching staff tonight. Good plan. Against Oakland we need all the help we can get. The rest of the A's will do exactly that as well on route to Garland's no hitter.
