Lefties Boone Logan & Heath Phillips to get a shot
I've long been a fan of Heath Phillips and I think he's better than all of those turds the Sox signed during FA. Our best chance would be from within (if we aren't going to trade) cause those other puds were out there for a reason. Not as familiar with Boone. Logan's supposed to have a pretty good arm and a good build, but I don't know much about his repetoire.

Hypothetical question
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 3, 2006 -> 02:36 PM) Johan Santana. Pujols a close second, due to some level of "Where would he play"-ness. And the fact that if you think Vazquez will make a good 5th starter...imagine what Johan can do.

NFL Off-Season Rumor Mill
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 5, 2006 -> 08:08 PM) Free agency delayed again. f***KKKKKKKKKKKKKKK Thats twice I have been counting down to it and then its moved. There will be nothing done by the new date and the NFL will look dumb again. Both sides are being very civil about it. I'm glad they aren't just sitting there and trying to force the issue. Pushing it back and continuing to hammer things out is going to be the reason things get worked out without any strike. By the way, I guess I called it

QB Drama in Chitown
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 5, 2006 -> 06:34 PM) Kerry Collins now available. May not be bad as a backup. Does turn the ball over too much though. I would like Josh McCown. He's talented and had a few really good games with the Cards, but Green opted with Warner.

Official College Basketball Thread
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 5, 2006 -> 07:43 PM) UCLA is going to be dominant in the PAC 10 because Ben Howland teaches his players DEFENSE. Arizona and Washington will always have the talent to be damn good, but they simply don't defend well enough to be a consistent Final 4 type team, either of them. Stanford is really going downhill now that Monty is gone. AZ has one of the premier coaches in the game and has already played in quite a few national championships. They are more than capable of consistently being there.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Mar 5, 2006 -> 06:54 PM) This is going to an annual thing with Gonzaga until the end of time. They're never going to be spectacular, and there's nothing they can do about it. Because the only real conference (Pac 10) on the west coast is suspect too. Its only suspect right now. Typically its on of the better basketball conferences in the country with AZ and UCLA (who is about a year away from being back as a dominate player). Plus Washington has emerged and I think they are an underrated team right now. Lets not forget Stanford's run of dominance as well.

The Official Bubble Thread
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 5, 2006 -> 12:10 PM) They're still out on Bracketology and rightfully so. s***ty RPI (58), terrible non-conference schedule, 1-5 vs RPI top 50 and they've beaten ONE team that'll be in the tournament. If they are in over any of the MVC teams who are on the bubble, complete bulls***. There are a lot of crap bubble teams that people are talking up just cause they are in down major conferences. I hope teams like FSU don't get in (unless they kick ass in the tourney) cause its gonna take away from better MVC teams.

QB Drama in Chitown
QUOTE(My Dixie Normus @ Mar 5, 2006 -> 05:59 PM) The cap is revenue shared by players and owners. The amount of total revenue teams take in, including things like ticket sales and TV revenue, go into the pot. There is a percentage split, I think it is somewhere in the mid-50%s going to the salary cap now and the players want it over 60%. But as long as revenue continues to grow, the cap will too. This year is a bit different because the NFL signed a new TV deal that will boost the revenue pot bigger than normal years. Hey I just wanted to say welcome aboard. In your 3 posts you come off as a really knowledgeable poster. Plus you got a funny monicker. Glad to have ya here

Official NBA Discussion Thread
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 5, 2006 -> 11:47 AM) Common sense. His stock will be higher in this weak ass draft than it ever can get, and another year in college might just make people come to their senses and realize Morrison doesn't have an NBA game. But you have a point, I've seen people make plenty of stupid decisions before, so you never know. If anyone would pull a Leinart it would be Morrison though. And yes it would be a stupid decision. Just like if I were Greg Oden and was guaranteed being the #1 pick (a year from now) and decided to stay another few years at OSU. Anytime I know I'm going in the top few picks and am going to get money I'm taking it.

Wierd. Ya. We were making some quick changes to improve security. Just had to adjust some settings following them. It was us better protecting the site

If Iowa wins one game in the Big 10 tourney, than I think they deserve a 3 or at worse a 4. We've beaten more top 25 teams than almost any team in the country and are 11th in RPI.

What..no love for the Hawkeyes win over Wiscy today. Big time 2nd half and I'm feeling a lot better with the team clobbering PSU and than beating Wiscy by 15. Finished the season undefeated at home which was pretty cool. Now all I care about is being healthy come tourney time. Well that and combining my powers with Illini fans to root for an OSU loss.
