  2. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 09:50 PM) Am I the only one who thinks she isn't good looking at all? Not at all. I completely agree with you and than some.
  3. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 07:37 PM) I'd have the Herd for about six hours a day. The rest of the lineup I could care less about. (Amanda isn't half bad either.) Colin Cowheard or whatever it is rocks. I got that on the radio every morning.
  4. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 03:39 PM) Damn...lol. So how long was he a member of the team? And that was his first game ever? That sucks. Ya, I'm almost positive he had never played in a game and was on the team for 4 years (obviously being on JV for at least part of the time). These were the only minutes he played in his basketball career. Its like a modern day Rudy.
  5. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 03:30 PM) Alright then. He should get some run next year. I'm pretty sure he was a senior. Boy am I raining on his parade
  6. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 10:38 AM) http://www.dailyherald.com/sports/sportsstory.asp?id=159338 Sounds like Ozzie favors Gload for a roster spot. Sweet...I've been a Gload fan since I saw him down in Charlotte a few years back.
  7. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 03:09 PM) That's absolutely crazy. Are they gonna give the kid some run now? I was assuming it was the teams final game of the season.
  8. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 02:55 PM) Holy s***. Some of you amaze me. You don't have a damn clue, so quit pretending like you do. This is one topic I know my stuff about, and you all don't get it. I apologize for coming off like a pompous ass on this, but it irratates the crap out of me to sit here and see some folks ripping apart different things that you don't know what you're talking about. I alwasy think the main problems were the huge effects of 9/11 mixed with them ordering too many new planes and well obviously far higher fuel costs. Southwest was the one airline that semi put itself in a good position for this because they hedged there fuel well and have very affordable contracts till 2009, but following 2009 I anticipate that Southwest (the bench mark for all airlines in terms of profitability) may also face some problems cause the oil situation won't get better. The only time it will be better is when all cars are far more fuel efficient (and we are on the way to getting there, but its going to take more time before hybrid technology is in a high percentage of all cars on the road) and than of course when we finally replace oil with alternative choices.
  9. QUOTE(samclemens @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 08:15 AM) thats total b.s. commerical pilots get paid rather well. http://swz.salary.com/salarywizard/layouth...TR20000008.html I know a few pilots and they make very very good money so I don't know whats up with that list Rex. I think this one is far more accurate based on what my friends have told me.
  10. Ya, what a cool story. I saw it on Cold Pizza this morning.
  11. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 09:37 AM) See....Iowa fans are wise, LOL. Hillarious photo.
  12. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 02:43 PM) Favorite players= Speedy Claxton, Chris Paul, Kirk Hinrich, Tim Duncan, Steve Nash and Kobe. I need to add Nash to my list. I remember catching a couple of his college games in person and he was impressive than too. I love how he makes his teammates so much better.
  13. Guys...no more banter back and forth about that. Personal attacks aren't tolerated. Debate facts but don't call each other names.
  14. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 10:21 PM) Happily...we don't have to do that thanks to our good friends in New York...we just have to root for the Knickerbockers to lose! Ya...its so damn fun.
  15. QUOTE(Spiff @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 10:19 PM) 1) I've been a huge K-man fan for years. Now he is balding and it's only getting better. 2) The Bucks have TJ Ford, if they had drafted Paul they'd be stuck. Paul/Ford, Redd, Simmons, Magloire, Gadzuric?? Kaman and Hinrich = two of my most favorite players in the NBA along with King James, Wade, Shaq (simply cause he's hillarious) and Ginobli.
  16. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 10:17 PM) Agreed on part 1. As for the Clips....watching them even w/o Corey the talent is just oozing. They don't really seem to have fully figured out playing together yet, but they keep getting better and they have all the tools of a very good team. One guy thats really found a place is Mobley. God damn I never realized how good he was. He seems to finally be letting the game come to him more instead of forcing shots. Livingston will have to stay healthy and develop if they want to win the finals though. Cassel will get things started but by the time this team is ready to go the distance, it will be up to Livingston to run the offense.
  17. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 10:16 PM) Well, on the other side...we're still a very, VERY young team right now anyway. A lot of the guys on our team are still probably a couple years away from their peaks. Which would give Aldridge more time to develop. Chandler certainly still has his best years ahead of him, Deng also, Hinrich hopefully...Gordon maybe...You stick Aldridge in there, and he's roughly on the same development schedule as a lot of the other guys. You stick a guy like PP or KG in there, and you're hoping that the guys around him develop fast enough to take advantage of the vet's skills while they're still at the top of their game. Problem is...you don't know when age will catch up with those guys, and you don't know how long it'll take for your guys to start playing all the way up to their potential. I think I lean towards the youth movement continuing...UNLESS you can get KG for a fair deal or PP for a song. My theory is that in the sense of BG you should get value now for him because he doesn't fit into the Bulls system and what they want to do. PP can be here for a few years and than we can turn him around for someone else when the time comes (if the team needs more time). I think Deng has a shot to be one of the best in the league at his position as does Hinrich while Chandler can become a defensive star in time. If Aldridge could turn into a 20/10 guy or even a 15/10 guy than I think we'd be pretty well set even if Pierce is older than we want at that point. I still believe winning is a huge part to the whole rebuilding process and if you can get these guys used to winning and get them in some big games it will help teach the young players how to finish and improve. Its why in the NFL I never root for a team to lose in order to get a draft pick because in some ways teams need to learn how to win cause no matter how many great draft picks you have, there is no guarantee of success. Teams need to learn to win.
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 10:12 PM) There are a couple things that give me hope, aside from just Thomas's work in NY...While neither of them are healthy right now...Charlotte does sort of have a couple of fairly big guys already. If they wind up ahead of us, they may very well be looking more at Gay than Aldridge...I just think he'd fill a need more. If someone like Portland or Atlanta wound up ahead of us...they might be in the market for an extra pick just to try to get another player on the court. Or Gordon might pique their interest. I can't see Atlanta passing up on a big. They have needed one for a long time and have zero need for wing guys (they have way too many of them already and were fools when they invested all the money they did in Joe Johnson...even though he's a good player). I think Charlotte would go with Gay, Atlanta would take Aldridge unless they were getting some pretty darn good talent in return. I should also mention if the team got Pierce and Indiana somehow went into building mode I would look real long and hard and try to find any way possible to get Jermaine O'Neal in a deal centered around the #1 pick and Tyson Chandler or Luol Deng (I'd prefer Deng cause I think the Bulls would be able to find slide in some sort of wing player). But now I'm getting ridiculous but that would make us some team with Hinrich running the point.
  19. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 10:12 PM) Now that is interesting. You have a guy like Bobby Simmons, who is pretty young at 25 and pretty good playing the wing, but Marvin Williams has much better size, tools, and through the roof potential. On the other side, you have Bogut, who's a lock to be a career good, but never great, center (although like I keep saying, that's hard enough to find). Tough choice. I still think I'd give the nod to Bogut, but I actually see Bogut turning into a pretty damn solid defensive player. I actually see him being able to develop into a better defensive Brad Miller (ie not a typical center, but one thats dangerous and I think Bogut will be one of the best passing centers in the NBA for a good span of his career). And god what I'd give for Kaman. I think if he didn't have Brand he'd be more like a 15 or 16 PPG game guy. He has a sweet hook and can use both hands. Plus he's becoming such a consistent player. The Clips are a team thats on its way. Maggette will be back soon enough too and they damn near got to the Mavs in Dallas last night.
  20. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 10:02 PM) I agree with Reddick. I think he could be as good as RIP Hamilton if he's in the right system. And yeah, it's funny how the Bulls seem to be 1 year off again when it comes to the draft. I think thats a good comparison.
  21. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 10:06 PM) I think Pierce will help us into the playoffs, but won't make us a title contender. The biggest problem with this team is that it still needs time to develop chemistry and to develop their games. Last year we were able to cover that up because Curry and Chandler were further along in development and we just oozed talent left and right. This year, we really don't have talent in the middle that could hide those deficiencies. Only way I want Pierce is if Pax goes balls in and finds a way to trade for KG as well. Pierce and a guy like Kaman and this team is right on the brink of winning an NBA championship (in the next say 3 years if all they lose in the Pierce deal is BG and one of Noc/Duh) because along with Pierce and a guy like Kaman the team would have some money to still sign a guy like Nazr or Harrington (harrington would be nice cause he could get minutes at the 3 and 4 nullifying Noc). Oh and when I say a guy like Kaman I mean a solid low post guy that could get us 12-15 PPG while grabbing down boards and playing solid defense. I think LaMarcus Aldridge could be that guy, but if we got him it would push the championship timetable back a bit cause he'd have to develop, but I could see him being a Duncan type player (really like his ability, but he's still raw and would have growing pains in the NBA). Of course the odds of him making it like Duncan did would be slim and with anything there is a risk. All I know is that PP far >>>> than anything BG will ever be.
  22. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 09:58 PM) The question you have to try to think about is...where would the Bucks be if they had drafted Paul? Paul is a damn good player, but I'm taking Bogut #1 overall. I think the bigger question is that you'd rather have him than say Marvin Williams.
  23. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 09:56 PM) You look at him and say no way is this guy #1 overall pick worthy, but he's a very smart and solid player, and considering he's a legit 7 foot tall 5 player, maybe he is worth that high a pick.....centers are just too hard to find these days. Hell I honestly think I'd give up a #1 overall pick for Chris Kaman. I wish the Bulls could get a guy like Kam. Low post scorers are almost a necessity in this day and age cause they open up the rest of the offense. Without that the Bulls will never win a championship (the exception to that rule is if we have a guy like MJ).
