  1. Alright, you should notice that those three things are gone.
  2. Lets focus on tonights game first.

Another cool thing about the club level is you get an awesome view. Its a little more elevated and if your seats are between the paths (especially) than you just have an awesome view of things. Technically speaking the best seats in the house are usually where the announcers are.
  4. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 01:21 PM) I punched my friend in the stomach. Right as Crede strolled to the plate he called a dong. There it went. I was so insanely pumped I couldn't control my emotion. I am so mentally, physically, emotionally drained from these last 2 games. I lost a hat and bruised my hand. I got so close to punching the wall after the game got tied. Somehow I managed to control my emotions. Hell, I only changed the channel once and thats when I swore the situation was going to get worse when Cotts gave up those hits (turned the channel and turned it back to see the a commercial and I thought It was just a long commercial but than the Sox ended up being back up (thank goodness for Politte and Crede and that DP).
  5. Wow just downloaded it. I had always heard quite a bit about it and its really nice. I'll have to test it out and see if I like it more than Mozilla.

Robbo...good to see ya around again. Hopefully you had a good summer (it seems like its been forever since you were around).
  7. I just figure we don't really own the rights to it, but maybe the picture has been modified enough that we do. That and it has the Sox logo on it.
  8. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 12:42 PM) I notice sometimes during game threads my browser (Firefox) hangs on refreshing the page like it's running a query that never ends. I haven't seen it do this in Internet Explorer but I don't use IE that often. The same thing happens to me. For whatever reason the page will show up but on the bottom right its continuing to load something. Usually when thats happening the site is majorly lagging. I've never known the exact cause of it but its when I know the sites probably gonna drop for a second or two. When its not doing it it just works perfect and quickly kicks in. I think next time I notice that problem I'll hop onto IE and see if I get the same result or not. Who knows, maybe its a minor flaw in the board software when your running on Mozilla.
  9. Ya, I almost never use the function either. However, when it gets used it does use up a massive amount of resources. The big thing is it tends to lead to a hangup. But who knows, I know some people say they search a lot.
  10. The original announcement above said for people to refrain from searching. However, since we expect very heavy traffic again tonight, as a temporary solution (we hopefully will have a better more permanent solution in the near future) we are going to turn off the search function during tonights game as well as turn off the members viewing this forum and the members viewing this thread feature. We think this will put a limit to both the queries and as a result of that the mysql useage and connection hangups. We also plan on in the near future upgrading our mysql software (hopefully...the expert Kap has yet to tell 2k and I if what were thinking is actually right in terms of going to version 4.0 but we think were probably right for once). Also we'll be cleaning up the database a bit during a downperiod (not during a game or anything). We want to do our best to make sure people can access and talk with the rest of the community throughout the game thread and than after games we will turn those features back on. Hopefully this works and once again were going to work on a permanent solution.
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 08:55 AM) I think it's best if the Rally Crede is not duplicated or altered in any way to incorporate any other players. The Rally Crede should remain the Rally Crede and continue to carry this team on it's back through the power that is Rally Crede. Exactly...we can't get Greedy. And remember the Rally Crede works in mysterious ways.
  12. QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 09:55 PM) Can you finish off this sentence? First time since july 30th... The Sox have came back from a deficit to win.
  13. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 09:48 PM) I was incredibly passive compared to some other great plays. (I have a scar on my knuckles from last Jan 1) I just said "Finally" and exhaled really deeply. That Hawkeyes game was such a play of emotions. Man did I go crazy from f***, I can't believe we lost to oh my god how the hell did that happen. I went crazy tonight though. My dad walked into the room during the commercial (not a sox fan) says Sox are going to win tonight. I go, I know Crede's going to win it right here (by this point the commercial has ended). Dad is in the hall by my room walking away to go up the stairs when I go holy s*** he did it he did it and am going crazy. Went totally nuts, totally nuts. I was going nuts before I ever saw the ball leave the field. I saw it off the bat and knew it was gone. Than while screaming I was like oh crap oh crap I hope to hell it gets out and yelled stretch as the camera panned to it going into the seats (just totally sweet). Run over to my dad who actually gives me a high five (surprising cause he usually likes to walk in when the Sox are blowing things and tell me how they blew a great chance or something).
  14. He pitched out of the pen in the Twins series. I'm assuming it was this past Saturday, which is when Duque started and the Sox lost 5-0 to Johan.
  15. Come on Big Jon...step up and be that big game pitcher you've been thus far this year. GO GO GO GO WHITE SOX!!!!
  16. Should add...when the board is down the chat is still working. The server is up during thos times...the mysql just hangs up and sucks. It really isn't the server....hate saying it, but I know invision boards are capable of handling more people than this...its just a matter of getting the database squared away and preventing the mysql hangups. I'm no expert at this stuff though...afterall I did gage the board on more than one ocassion.
  17. Also want to quickly say thanks to all those that have. We really appreciate it. Hopefully it will help us add some new cool stuff relatively soon. Hip Hip Hurray to all the great posters and admins/mods at Soxtalk. You all make this place great.
  18. We got a few ideas in mind. Hopefully there is a way to improve the mysql capabilities of the board and just get it to limit the uses. Were going to try and close down the search functions and other high output functions during game threads. Also next day without a game were gonna shut the site down for a few and do a board upgrade (who knows, maybe it will somehow help). The server holds up...its just the mysql that this board uses is totally ridiculous. MYSQL blows.
  19. Really these past two games have been awesome. Just total playoff atmosphere. Great fans and one of the games had a great result.
  20. That be sweet...I'd love to see some Rally Crede signs at the park. Man would that be awesome. GO GO GO GO WHITE SOX CHICAGO's PROUD OF YOU
  21. QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 08:03 PM) You guys should have seen jason in the chat room. Was doubting the sox the entire f***ing time! :headshake ROFL...I can't stop laughing qwerty...
