ESPN Radio Update just said
I'm gonna throw out the Dodgers once again. They have Jason Phillips but need someone else cause Dave Ross is likely gone and he's there other catcher. I know they like Navarre, but I don't think he's ready.

ESPN Radio Update just said
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 09:30 AM) They are trying to make room for Bmac. They don't want anymore pitchers. McCarthy won't be pitching out of the pen. When he's up he's starting, unless its in September.

Frank Was Hitting the Ball
I don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere cause I was internetless for a few days, but I was watching batting practice down in Tuscon and Frank was swinging the bat taking live BP with the rest of the starters. Timing definately looked off, but he hit a few shots to dead center.

Soxtalk NCAA Tourney Pick 'Em Contest

Holy s***, Duke would of been stacked had Deng stayed and Livingston/Dwight Howard not made the jump.

My Illini game experience (long)
Awesome story. That had to be flat out insane Brian. Hell, I'm not even an Illini fan and I found myself cheering for them, for the big 10 and I was going nuts as they cut the game. My dad was saying how it was over and the whole weekend I was right on in my prediction. I kept telling him, Illinois had one run left and they would tie it at one point...sure enough they did. I'm pulling for an all Big 10 final. Of course my original pick of Ill-UNC still stands. Have fun at the 4 guys, that should be a freaking BLAST.

Contreras still tipping his pitches
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 11:17 PM) "Is Contreras a big tipper? Coach says batters knew what he'd throw in drubbing" http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...tesox-headlines Ya, 1st inning I was able to point out to my dad whenever he was throwing the breaking pitch. Well most of the time. Oh ya, did I mention he sucked. Hell the entire White Sox looked pathetic minus Neal Cotts and Dustin Hermanson. Of course I only saw two games. Some other guys looked solid too, none of them being pitchers.

Pro Baseball Central Radio Show (On Sox)
Sounds like it was a cool show guys. I'm gonna have to check it out tomorrow. Just got back from seeing the Sox look AWFUL down in Tuscon. By all means you all are more then welcome to come back and talk about more shows. I'll shoot you an email tomorrow as well once I get resituated from being computerless for a few days. Thanks for giving Soxtalk.com some shoutouts as well.

My other Project
Ya, Malones supposed to be pitching already. Ryan Rod basically to me is a clone (status wise) to Haigwood so he definately should be on there.

Just calm down everyone. This site is quite good and I think everyone here gets along. Sometimes I delete posts, sometimes I edit them. Depends on what the situation is. If its a string of attacks with two people going back and forth, I'm gonna hit the delete button. If its a poster saying or typing something inaprorpiate in a post and its just a one time deal, I'll just edit it out so the rest of the post stays and then tell them. Simply put often times people may post something and not think its offensive based on content and it may bother people. Its basically intent and 99% of the time people aren't intending to cause problems or anything like that. We understand that and just slide that part out. By the way it may be my house, but the mods and admins all do a heck of a job running it and all the posters here do a great job keeping this place great. Really, they make it easy for us and if people ever disagree on things and a good contingent does most of the time we'll change it or get things done to fix the problem.

PFT Reporting Bears Interested in VET RB
Yep, he reported they may trade their 1st round pick, 5th overall too And no thats not a typo.
-
PFT Reporting Bears Interested in VET RB
Travis Henry, etc via a trade and that then they could target a WR. Makes sense to me, but PFT is a garbage website. Lovie Smith sounded like they wouldn't mind another WR and another RB, but I love how the offense is going to be more of a ball control offense.

Possible Sox&Reds Deal
Guys, they ain't trading Foppert for Borchard. Foppert had some arm trouble last year but he's fine, probably going to be starting for them this year and he's put up good numbers in the majors and is still quite young. He's a superior player in comparison to Joe Borchard.

Rotoworld Projects Anderson to Bham
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 07:41 PM) Rex, I didn't even count the players on the big league roster. I just wrote in the players who I thought would make the team. Thanks for that advice though. I'll try to keep it as accurate as possible during the season, but right now it's just so hard to project all those spots. (it would be like trying to guess the NCAA brackets before they came out.) Hey Cheat...we'll talk when I get back from Arizona, but I can set you up if your interested.

Two more roster cuts...
Hey, shoot me an email at Bullsback@gmail.com Some of the links still haven't been updated as were still working on the new back end pages since I changed the look of the site. I may not get the email till Monday though because I'm not sure if the hotel were staying at in Arizona will have free wireless internet.

Pro Baseball Central Radio Show (On Sox)
Question for Merkin: Brandon McCarthy has been the talk of spring training thus far, so much so that Bruce Levine speculated that Contreras and El Duque could come up with mysterious injuries so Bmac could break camp with the Sox. Is there any truth to this and how short of a leash will Garland and Contreras be on, considering McCarthy's waiting in the wings.

White Sox Preview
Jesus Mario, talk about using your power for EVIL. Nah I'm just messing with you. I'll have to download it and listen to it on the way out to Arizona on my laptop.

Scott Skiles
Ya, but Hinrich was shooting far better during that span (when he was hurt for whatever reason). But I agree that stat is inflated to benefit Curry, hence the fact I never brought it up while talking about Curry. I just am not big on stats like that. There are so many stats that can prove things one way or another.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 06:31 PM) What the fish? They were up by twenty something at the start of the fourth. I think they should be allowed to put some scrubs in there to finish off the game. Donyell also has interest in coming back which is awesome. Rose guaraunteed a win today. I'd love Donyell back in Chicago. He was a good presence when here and is a solid player for what he does. And qwerty...get Gasol without giving any of the nucleus (Curry could be a part of it) and I'm definately down with it.

Bulls-raptors.
Personally if they are going to get rid of him I'd get Samuel Dalembert and Donyell Marshall. I like Dalembert, although it would be scary offensively. I think the Bulls keep him though and I have no complaints about that because I don't want the Bulls to be a perimeter team on offense. I want a team that has a low post presence because in the playoffs, that is necessary. Although I woudln't cry at all if they got SAR, but I highly doubt that will happen. Plus then who plays center and don't tell me Chandler.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) We would still have presence in the paint. Maybe bot offensively but we would have enough defensively. Trade curry for anything. Sign SAR. We would be upgraded so much. SAR = Sharif?
