Hey Apu, is Bubba Ho Tep worth netflixing? Is it a comedy or one of those stupid/funny movies.

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 11:47 PM) I loved the ending to that film...and Jas, you got red on you Lol and ya the ending is absolutely classic with the news clips just before the credits.
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ Dec 21, 2004 -> 09:57 PM) I hate him also. He is not funny. I think Anchorman is quite possibly one of the worse movies of all time, so I fully agree with ya on that. Over-rated since Old School, imo.

I just saw Shawn of the Dead and thought it was pretty funny.

Here's my thinking. We leave that gray one up the way it is. That way those that like a little different look can go for that. Then we'll also make a 2nd version of this current format, but in a more White Sox color. This gives everyone a couple options. The color scheme and format you see now. A more White Sox color scheme with the avies on the right and then the format you see now with a White Sox color scheme.

Want to quickly say I'm aware of the quote issue. I'm looking through the settings now and am not positive whats going on, but somehow there was a slight change in some of the posts coding thats causing it to look funny. I think were going to find out that in a day or two we won't see it anymore and it just happens to deal with the tie in from older posts and one of the inevitable bugs when the data gets transferred into a little different format. It should be fully corrected as we start getting new posts. If its not then I'll have to find something else.

QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 08:55 PM) I keep getting email notifications that I never requested on a thread I am posting on. I unsubscribed, but it subscribed me again. I think I fixed it, but tell me if its working. Somehow auto subscribe was on or something for certain members. I think I fixed it, but am not positive.

QUOTE(toasty @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 10:36 PM) chisoxfn, i dont think the quote button is working properly! It was, but once again someone has been messing with something and I can safely say its not me.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 08:25 PM) She im'ed me back, guess that's a sign.

Hey I was correcting inpromto coding, lol. I'm also guessing you were aiming me. My mom just called me saying that she somehow signed onto my instant messenger and is just xing out boxes but doesn't know how to sign off, lol.

Alex, I set the link to target=blank so when you click on the gift cert thing it pops up in a new window. Just copy the coding I used for that if you create another link in the text portion

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 08:11 PM) Thats another problem with trying to figure out what is going to happen in the draft. If the Bears sign a WR, then they wont draft Williams or Edwards. If they get a guy like Walter Jones, they wont need OL. Thats why I think they may get Rolle, because CB is a much harder position to address via FA. And at 4, outside of Johnson, he will be the best athlete, with tremendous upside. If he posts a sub 4.4, at 6-1 its going to be hard to pass. SB I just think financially Angelo knows its not typically beneficial to make a selection 4th overall. The signing bonus is extreme and you put a lot of risk on a guy panning out. If the Bears move down a bit, they not only address two needs and a good talent evaluator can get things to pan out, plus they'll likely have some extra money for free agency. I do disagree with you in the fact that the Bears need two recievers regardless, so if they sign one (assuming its not Plaxico or a huge money receiver) then they are still going to be drafting one very high, imo.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 08:10 PM) Can you imagine how good we will be if Crede and Garland have their 'breakout' seasons this year? And no one really reverts or gets seriously hurt.
-
Nevermind, I went in and fixed it. I saw you also fixed it just after I did so I edited the code and removed the extra end center tag. One question Alex, what is the URL to the gift certificate and I'll enter it in.
-
Alex, I know that was you, so get rid of whatever center you just put in. Cause I actually got off my ass and centered the graphic for ya, lol
-
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) I agree with everything you've said, Jason. That lineup has no holes in it. One might consider Joe Crede a hole, but I really doubt he's as bad as he was last season. It would also give you some outs in case Podsednik turns out to have a season like last year... Plus when you think about it as having Crede in the 8 hole, its not what I'd truly consider a hole. When you get 20 hr's and 60 or so RBI's from the 8 spot nothing to complain about. Then Uribe in the 9 hole is just sick.
-
Ya, I need to see Alex change the colors on this one like the other one. Otherwise I may just start experimenting in the next couple days.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 08:01 PM) Someone may wanna center the Sox gift certificate banner. Just centered it

QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 07:30 PM) It goes by draft eligibility... maybe Rodgers and Lienart havent declared yet.... that does make sense. Ya neither have. And both are juniors. I'm assuming both will be going pro, although some people seem to think that Lienart won't be. But when its all set and done I bet he does.
-
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 07:29 PM) I think it's more likely Pierzynski would bat at #7 and Dye at #6, but hey that's just me. Dye could hit .280, 30 HR, 100 RBI's if healthy for a full season. The reason I put Pyrz ahead of Dye is that it breaks up the monotomy of right handed bats. Then you have Crede and Uribe behind them in the lineup. God I'd like that lineup, especially if both Igutchi and Pods could put up .340 OBP's. I'm not greedy, cause I'd just like that overall lineup. I'm hoping this is Kenny's plan and my belief is he has the finaces to do it, but I have mega doubts as to whether it will happen, simply because I've been wrong all offseason, lol.
-
QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 07:26 PM) Thats weird.... Kiper doesnt even have Lienart in his top Qb's Kiper I dunno. Taking a guess, but I'm assuming Kiper is only ranking seniors and Leinart is an underclassmen. Actually I guarantee you that cause after looking at that top 5, all of those guys on there are seniors. Rodgers and Leinart hands down are top 5 picks and at the very worse top 10 picks. Orton wouldn't be a bad guy for the Bears to draft if he sticks around into the 4th round and beyond.
-
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 07:23 PM) Swap Rowand with Dye or Uribe most likely, unless Iguchi is signed. I think Kenny knows if he can sign Iguchi it can really help transform the top of the order with Pods and Iguchi up front moving Rowand into a run producing spot, potentially the 3 hole. Then if you can add Pyrzinski you can have him hit behind Konerko in the 6 slot with Dye down in the 7 slot. Obviously Dye wouldn't necessarily be pleased with it, but with all the bats that gives the Sox what I would call a pretty darn good lineup, imo.
-
San Fran, Miami and Cleveland are the 3 teams picking ahead of Chicago. I think San Fran will take a QB, potentially Aaron Rodgers although they could also look at Cedric Benson. Miami goes RB or QB and Cleveland probably takes the leftover, although I think Cleveland is most likely to deal down or even take Antrelle Rolle. Cleveland does have a need at both RB and QB though, especially since Garcia struggled. But I don't know if they go QB high after the Couch fiasco.
-
I still think the Sox have two more moves left in them before the regular season. Two moves that will have an effect on the major league roster that is. I think we'll know where the Sox stand by the end of the week.
