I know the Tigers non-tendered him and some people may laugh at this suggestion. But h's a left handed bat that has power. He obviously has to work on his average but this guy had and still has loads of potential. Was the 3rd overall pick back in 1999 out of USC and this is just his 2nd full season. I don't know whether he is much good as a catcher since Detroit hasn't used him, but could be just a solid 3rd catcher. I do like his potential offensively. He's played in 246 major leauge games. 2003: .240 AVG, .312 OBP, 18 HR, 50 RBI, .753 OPS (In 99 Games) 2004: .212 AVG, .289 OBP, .734 OPS, 19 HR, 49 RBI (109 Games) Could be a good minor league pickup too.

Why are the Cards going to regret a contract that at most is probably worth 1.5 - 2 mill a year? Especially since they think he's going to do the job next year. Please, maybe a team with a 30 mill payroll would be upset over a deal like that. Rotoworld says some funny things when they rip on teams, but overall I think they are retarded.

I don't think the Sox were ever talking about Burnett. They may of made a phone call, but I doubt anything more then that.

Remember, the Angel fans came out of the woodwork when they made the playoffs the year before. Then they weren't quite as good the following year with the Angels but the fans had bought all the seats up since they were defending world series champs. Moreno then took over and carried this new momentum and upped payroll to keep Angel fans excited and it worked. They should draw 3 million again, especially if the team plays really good and it looks like the AL West will come between them and Texas.

I am going to close this thread. The last time something like this came out, I made it a point to ensure that this type of issues are discussed in private, not on an open board. If people have questions or complains, they can always email me, boz or any other admins or mod and air their complaints. We always listen to them and typically discuss them with the other admins/mods and throw stuff back and forth. We happen to be discussing a lot of things and for anyone to jump on Boz is just 100% wrong. Boz is a fantastic admin who loves this board and does things in the best interest of this board. This board wouldn't be as well ran if it wasn't for all the great admins and mods who help out and throw new ideas out, move threads when needed, get rid of trolls, etc. If anyone has a problem with my thinking behind this, then please, just shoot me a PM, but this is not something that will be discussed in public. Any thread created will result in a 3 day suspension by the poster.

Well check that...I was quicker then I thought. It will be open for Christmas Its up now, with a new header coming and some new backend pages on the way Also, if I do say so myself, I think I did quite the job on the new layout...well by my standards.

If he's healthy, phenomenal pickup cause he's an awesome pitcher when healthy. Hell basically he's fantastic when on the mound. We can only hope. Still I think he may be embelishing the physical just a bit.

Hey Chris, if I emailed you a word file with the portion of the code could you take a look at it. The only thing that confuses me, cause I understand the idea of just doing the table part and having it set up just below the graphic, but Its tougher cause I get thrown off by the php.
