There has to be a lot of cash going the Dbacks way otherwise this move makes absolutely no sense to me. I just don't see acquiring Green, paying his mega huge contract this year and signing him to an extension and giving up a guy like Navarro plus a starting pitching prospect or even two more prospects. Good move by the dodgers, but I'm thinking they must be sending 6 mill or so at the very least. But I haven't really understood what Arizona is doing. I'll say this, they are a much better team then they were last year, but I still don't agree with them. Ortiz, Webb, Vazquez isn't all that bad of a 1-3. Also, don't forget that this deal gives the Dodgers some payroll flexibility. My guess is they may re-enter for Odalis Perez or of course have the money to get Pyrz for a year. Thats simply because I don't think any catcher at 20 is truly ready for a full season in the majors, although Joe Mauer was a rare exception to that and Navarro seems to be potentially the real deal.

I hope its not true and if it is I'm rather pissed that the Sox would of given him a contract knowing that. I'd of pulled a Paxson and pretty much demanded my players to come into camp in shape. I think there is no excuse for anything but coming into camp ready to play and in as good of shape as you can be in.

Billy must know that it isn't wise to deal a guy when his value is low. I think Zito will be dealt, but I'm guessing they see what the A's do first before dealing him. Here's my thinking. We leave that gray one up the way it is. That way those that like a little different look can go for that. Then we'll also make a 2nd version of this current format, but in a more White Sox color. This gives everyone a couple options. The color scheme and format you see now. A more White Sox color scheme with the avies on the right and then the format you see now with a White Sox color scheme.

Want to quickly say I'm aware of the quote issue. I'm looking through the settings now and am not positive whats going on, but somehow there was a slight change in some of the posts coding thats causing it to look funny. I think were going to find out that in a day or two we won't see it anymore and it just happens to deal with the tie in from older posts and one of the inevitable bugs when the data gets transferred into a little different format. It should be fully corrected as we start getting new posts. If its not then I'll have to find something else.
