The most expensive one is that new Myphi. I got it for christmas from my parents cause it was made for like everything. The problem was it had horrible reception so I returned it for a far cheaper one. Its not quite as mobile but works great. However, for using at all 3 places that one sounds good. I have the Delphi SkyFi2. Its like 99 bucks and then you get the car kit for like 49 and if you want a home kit you can pick it up and when I got it there was a sale at circuit city where you got the car kit and home kit for 49 bucks total. With the home kit you just plug it into a stereo system and it will work. If you wanted it at both home and work you could go this route and I guess get two home kits or just bring your home kit different places if you wanted to. Works really good though.
  2. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 05:18 PM) This is somewhat off-topic, but on the XM deal, does anyone know if each team will have it's own station or will they only broadcast the home team feed for each game? I am hoping they just make a station for each team, but wasn't sure if that is how it's going to be. My guess is that they will do it kind of like they do with the Big Ten Sports channel, etc, where the home team gets the broadcast, but it would be really badass if every team had its own feed. I'm looking forward to it. Got the delphi thing and picked up the home kit which you can plug into a stereo.
  3. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 04:39 PM) If you have the MLB extra innings package, you should be able to. If you just have the sports pack, you can get comcast, but games are blacked out. Dunno if they will block out spring training games though. Usually Xtra Innings doesn't work in regards to spring training games. It would be so freaking badass if MLB started there package earlier and televised spring training games. Hekc, it could be something in there future if more teams go to what the Sox do, which is televising 20 plus games. But as of now Hi8, you'll be like me, stuck waiting till the regular season to see them on TV, minus the couple games on WGN and of course the few days spent in Arizona
  4. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 04:10 PM) already a big upgrade from Fox Sports. Just heard on Comcast, 20 spring training games will be telecast, starting on March 7. i'm sure all the games against the Cubs will be on. be a good way to get to see Brian Anderson, Brandon McCarthy and Ryan Sweeney because the young guys always finish out spring training games. Plus for anyone with XM all the spring training games will be televised as well as the radio games. Trust me, I got my XM in about a week and a half ago and I'm giddy to use it for the Sox games. I've already caught my Hawkeye basketball games on it and it works great.
  5. Well, I'm going to post my SoxFest prediction right here. I think that on one of the three days, probably Friday or Saturday, the White Sox will announce that they and CF Aaron Rowand have reached an agreement on a 3 year contract extension.
  6. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 08:00 PM) Oh don't worry, we'll have a laptop in the room. Free high-speed at the Hyatt. Couldn't get it working last year, hope that's not the case this year. In that case, should I bring my laptop? On a sidenote, should I bring some dvd's or anything?
  7. Cool stuff, thanks for posting this
  8. Well if they get Iguchi and the site blows up, just realize I can't Gage the board when I'm not around a computer
  9. Freaking awesome. Brooks your the man On a sidenote, the sites been mentioned by Mike North but that was back when its SoxNet. Not too much radio pub but its gotten some. Luckily I heard North pub SoxNet during a segment. I damn near drove the car off the road.
  10. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 04:55 PM) He was fringe at best, right? At least that was the word I always got. Although I know you really liked his speed, Jas. He was below average with everything but his speed. But those wheels made him a guy that could somehow break out. Was banged up for at least part of the year, but he just hasn't played well since his hot start in WS a year ago. But I can't say this again, when healthy, he was one of the fastest baseball players I've ever seen.
  11. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 04:49 PM) What a model citizen you are Gage. I figure Mike will be able to get them all and I can continue to do nothing

We've been talking about some ways to make things a little neater on the board and an idea a lot of us came up with is restricting the size of sigs. I'm not talking about making them miniture, but allowing it where the height can only be so much. I'd say 99% of all sigs would fit in the height requirements. The overall opinion is that this will make it a lot easier to scroll through threads and keep things neater. I also have adjusted it where the Soxtalk Awards don't appear on the left hand side, so that will shorten up the empty space that was showing up for those posters. Anyway just wanted to see what everyone would think about something like this.
  13. So essentially he's back on the market, correct?

You're Brazil! You're athletic, charming, and probably a good dancer. Unfortunatley, you don't really mind chopping down the rain forest, and you probably consider homeless people expendable in certain circumstances. Of course, your personality is so diverse that it's hard to track down exactly what you're like. You definitely like Pele, the World Cup, and shouting "gooooal" at the top of your lungs. 15. Arow probalby knows what Frank is up to better then anyone else on the team. The two are workout buddies and good friends.
  16. Don't be too sure of that Tex...some information can come up on this site or WSI that they may not be aware of, most specifically I'm relating to the minor league info. However, there is a lot of other stuff that comes up. They can get a lot of takes and ideas or just perspective of how the fans feel prior to writing an article. They can definately get ideas too.
  17. Ya wite, Thurston was the reason the Dodgers dealt Grudz to the Cubs a few years back. Unfortunately Thurston didn't excel like the Dodgers expected that year, but he has proved himself in AAA and has very good speed. Solid 2nd base prospect if you ask me and at worse is a good depth move for the minors. However, I don't see the Sox giving up Davis after they just designated Burke for assignment. I guess they didn't have time to work out a deal instead of designating Burke but they definately took a shot. Personally I'd just as well have Burke backing up but the Sox will be in trouble if Pyrz gets hurt, and they don't have Davis.
  18. Mike, if for some reason there is some limit (which I doubt) I'll help pick em up for the people too.
  19. News media stops by, some in the organization, players, but I highly doubt Kenny does.
  20. This doesn't make much sense considering the Sox have Burke off the 40 right now. They'd of never risked that had they been considering dealing Ben. My guess is that its unlikely, but if Depodesta gives up a potential prospect then you may see it happen. Also if it gives Kenny the whiggle room he wants to bring in another infielder then I oculd see it happening. I'm going to throw out the name Joey Thurston.

QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 10:56 PM) Have you ever actually done it and jumped from a moving vehicle? I'm no shrink but maybe your compulsion is based on curiousity and would cure itself if you tried it. As for alarm clocks, I like to set the clock I use to wake me up about 5 minutes fast. This sounds silly since I know it's fast, but in the early hours of the morning, it sometimes doesn't register when I first glance at the clock. I can't really say I've accomplished much in my extra five minutes per day yet, although I'm thinking about writing a book (very slowly). I waive the site of all damages created from Donkey's advice But cheat, if you do get the urge, please film it
  22. Whose to say they'd even detect these things if they are looking heavily for them. From the way it sounded the stuff he was using at Balco was 99.9% undetectable. You'd basically have to know exactly what you were looking for to find it. Regardless I'm like qwerty and think he'll have another huge year, unless he gets hurt or something.
  23. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 10:12 AM) I'm more interested in the Q&A sessions and stuff like that than the autographs to tell you the truth. I'm in the same boat. I'm not much of an autograph guy, but I'll probably bring a few baseballs along.
  24. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 05:16 PM) Yes...Kansas is gonna be undefeated and #2 when they come into Ames. The same Iowa State team that lost to NIU this year :sleep
