  1. Well damn...I thought I was gonna get to answer an accounting question Steff
  2. Holy s***...when do they start testing for roids
  3. This will at least tempt me into getting XM Radio. My pops loves it. Of course I could just steal his car
  4. Plus they still have Jacque Jones as an option, unless they decide to trade him as well which is a definate possibility.
  5. Umm, if the Sox even call the Jays they better be willing to offer Konerko and McCarthy and possibly more. And to be honest, I highly doubt they would want Konerko's contract. I could see a type of 3 way where Konerko went somewhere for prospects, the prospects along with a prospect from the Sox went to Toronto and Wells came to the SouthSide, but thats too much speculation from me. He's a good player and is signed to a very very fair contract. Just realize its gonna take some really good prospects, plus a star prospect to get him, imo.

    Sleeping Habits

Really, that usually gives me the opposite effect. I don't know about anyone else, but whenever I sleep with a girl (well the handful of times I or her actually would stay the night) I had a hell of a time sleeping. Everytime its just more of the same and I don't get it. Its the most god for saken uncomfortable thing ever. Its just a given that I'm gonna get like 2 hours of sleep that night. Maybe I'm just screwed up though. But for me its like, your kind of cuddlin and what not, but when I want to sleep I need to be cold, but if I move kind of off to the side so I can sleep ten minutes later they are right back over. Don't they understand. Sex was good, now I need my beauty sleep

    Sleeping Habits

First off, the colder my room the better. I usually sleep amazing during the winter and have an incredibly tough time waking up for school. In the summer I'll wake up feeling all hot and sweaty and it sucks. As far as sleep habits, I use one blanket and like to keep myself warm in it with the rest of the cold air around me. I usually (95% of the time) listen to AM radio (either sports talk or Art Bell) but also listen to Love Line. I have to watch TV before I go to sleep. I can't fall asleep without catching at least 10-15 minutes of something. Like Heads, I need a pillow but don't sleep on it. I sleep on my stomach throughout the night, after I wake up, I'll lay down a little more on my back and typically fall asleep for another 10 minutes. Oh ya and I drool like no other
  8. Oh for the arguments against it. The big thing is, how can you have unitity and a country without a national army. Another argument is that with a national army you should have better defenses since all the borders of the country would be covered. You'd also be splitting the costs amongst everyone. I guess if you wanted to defend it you could claim that a national army would take power away from the states. It would also lead to more of a dictorial system, which was what they were rebelling against. Since in essence, whoever was in control of the country would control the national military (remember the checks and balance system wouldn't of been in place). You would argue how the national army would be paid for, since the money was still state to state (you better check this one, cause I think all the states still had unique money, but not sure). One other aspect of how it would be paid for is how to divy it up between small and large states. THe large states with the big populations would obviously pay more, but I'm sure lots of fights would erupt and they would want to get the smaller states (I guess I should call them colonies) to pay a much larger chunk. Thats off the top of my head, so make sure my recollection of this is correct, but hopefully this helps more then my original post
  9. I think your stuck with a horrible topic, considering that the Articles of Confederation were absolute failures.

    Beer

I don't think their is necessarily one type of Jungle Juice, but depending on whose making it, it can be very very good. Also, gotta go with Cheat's recommendation of Jaeger Bombs and Jaeger. Its a very smooth hard liquor with a good volume of alcohol.
  11. Haha, funny you should say that. It just did. I should also mention, that took way too freaking long. So both of ya cut it out. Thats the final warning for both of you. I have respect for each of you, but I want you both to know you've both done wrong in this. Case closed, end your arguing and if you can't get along, don't respond to each others posts. The posts have also been moved out of here.
  12. I'll do that tonight Rex. Wish I could do it now but am working on a database for school. God I hate access.
  13. Well Kennedy still is hurt, meaning Figgins will be there. As far as these payroll rumors about the angels having to drop 20 million...not true. They are interested in Beltran and supposedly Nomar, but Beltran is their big target. Anaheim is losing a lot of payroll this year. Glaus and his contract = GONE. Appier and his 12.5 million = GONE, Aaron Sele and his 8 mill = Gone. Thats about 26-28 million freed up right there. Not many guys are due major raises in Anaheim either and they will have even more money freed up if they let Percy walk. The Angels payroll will probably stay similar to what it was this year. However, take into account that with certain players gone, three of which won't be back, that the Angels will have 26-28 million to throw around. Not any major raises are expected from their players due arb and what not. So ya, the Angels HAVE money to spend and will target a FA pitcher and a CF. Shortstop is also a possibility.
  14. 61382, you know I like you have been backing and liking the idea of Wynn for sometime. However, right now I think Everett/Gload are pencilled in one of the outfield spots. This means either Lee or Beltran is in the other (scary but true, imo). That tells me or at least leads me to believe the Sox aren't going to go heavy on OF. However, I guess if they move Konerko they could just use Everett off the bench and as a DH, but it doesn't seem like something the Sox would do, considering the amount Everett would make. Hairston/Roberts would be good fits. The one concern I have with Hiarston is his health. Their is no doubt in my mind that he would be happy to come to Chitown though.
  15. But he does. I've been saying this for a long time. The Angels aren't going after Nomar, they are going after Beltran and probably another pitcher. Figgins is going to be playing either 2nd or SS with Eckstein at the other spot. Adam Kennedy is a FA if I recall and the Angels don't appear to willing to bring him back. I may be wrong though on Kennedy. Sciosc is gonna be playing Figgins. He was the heart and soul of the top of the lineup, not Eckstein. Figgy ain't going anywhere.
  16. That lineup looks solid to me and really good if Gibbons reverts to form. I wonder if Bmore would give up all that for Konerko though. I think they are willing to give up Hairston since they have Roberts. Julio they appear to be shopping but the question is are they willing to give up on Gibbons. If they are, I'd definately do that deal. I like the way the lineup looks and the Pineiro trade sounds fine to me and it was no secret the M's liked Crede. However, I think we'd have to give up quite a bit, but then again Harris and Crede give them some potential, but I'd still think a good prospect would have to be going to the Mariners.
  17. Oh ok, that clears things up. I saw his contract was up, but I guess its up but he's still in his arbitration window, meaning the Astros can keep him but he'll either go to Arb or sign another long term deal. Makes sense now.
  18. I'm confused on Berkman now. I've seen him listed as a FA by Gammons in an older piece. Don't have the link on me and then on another random FA list site (I just did a google or something) and then some others don't mention him as one. By the bat, I mean small ball. I'm not saying Polanco isn't good as he obviously has great bat control. Thats evident by the minimal strikeouts and high average. I was referring to Vizquels' uncanny ability to use all parts of the field, drop bunts, essentially do the little things. In all fairness I haven't seen Polanco play to make comparisons on his ability to do that.
  19. Hell, I didn't read the hole thread. I still wouldn't give the ball up. Nor did I watch the entire game or any of the games for that matter. This series has been a big dissapointment to me, although the final innings have been very good of all the games by the one on Saturday. I've been glued to the Astros/Cards series.
  20. I'll say two things. Your point on whose at the agmes is well taken. But if any ball is hit to me, their isn't a chance in hell that I'm gonna throw it back on the field. I'm gonna be staring at my hand thinking, is the pain I'm feeling now worth the ball...and then I'll take my bows
  21. Reedfan..I mean Ace...Happy Birthday Hope its a good one.
  22. Come on BoSox, just three more. Yuck the Fanks
