I know one thing, if I were a teacher, I wouldn't want to have to proture a bunch of makeups cause the students were late or what not. But a lot of the time you can take the test at a different time in one of their different classes. Or just be there all the time like Clu says, which is what I do anyway. Kind of agree with you. I think most people are going off of what one or two people in the organization are telling them and in all honesty I don't think anyone really knows who it is going to be except the higher ups.

I know quite a few people within the organization are big Levya fans so it doesn't come as a real shock that he's getting considered. I actually think most in the organization prefer him to Backman and would of said it even before the lastest reports on Backman. I still think it will be Yount or Guillen.

All my teachers make up policy is THERE ARE NONE. No excuses at all. Usually you can drop one test though and they call that the makeup.

If Reed has a huge spring then I'm all for him coming up here and learning in the majors. I just don't want all this pressure surrounding him or anything like that. When that happens, you just set a prospect up for failure cause all prospects are going to have some kinks in the armor when they first come up. I can say one thing..its gonna be a depressing winter for many and I'm sure many are already drowning their sorrows in booze and more booze. Your probably be right. My uncle is a big Cub fan and he took his two goats to his work (He has his own auto repair shop in Iowa) and dressed them in Cub hats and I guess a lot of people came on by. He was saying end the curse of the goat. My dad just called him up saying the two goats should be shot He was just kidding, but damn it was hillarious.

It really says something. Afterall I pretty much rooted for the Cubs all year. Then for some reason after that whole fan incident, my cub passion started to wilter. It had nothing to do with them losing (Afterall I've put up with my sports teams losing all my life) but a lot of Cub fans really get on my nerves. Everytime I go to a Cub game I hear them tell me how the Sox suck, and all this other stuffa nd then they go on about Sammy whose a freaking bum. The guy is a decent DH, thats it. Was he amazing in the past, YES. But he wasn't the best ever. Defense...he ain't go any...Arm...WEAKSAUCE, and attitude, he's SELFISH.

JM should of been fired after the slow start, but in his defense the team did play kick ass baseball in the 2nd half, even though it wilted right in the end, before coming back out and playing well against KC.

I would of loved to be given the chance at least. I just have to continue on thinking this year will be the year. No matter what you got to have hope.

I'd be stunned if it happened. I do think torre is a pretty sharp and nice guy. THe only flaw is he reminds me so much of JM. But all that bling bling should command some respect.

Been watching a lot of Fox News lately about the case and from what I can tell and have heard, it doesn't sound good for the girl. Kobe didn't have any scratches or defense wounds and her story changes about once a week. I think Kobe definately made a mistake, but if he didn't do this, then I think its a real crime that he has to go through it and she should have to face charges.

Couldn't agree more. Everyone here is entitled to their opinions and don't let someones opinion stop you from posting. BeGood, I know there are plenty of people who like your posts...if some don't, who cares. The same could be said for every poster. I'm sure some posters dislike some peoples post and like others, it all depends on preference. If you let one or two peoples opinions stop you from posting then I Think your making a mistake.
