  1. Great game so far. I sure hope the BoSox can win this and stay alive.

Its a wise move to get them both on the roster. Both could be valuable to the Sox as early as next season. I don't think this means Daubach is gone just yet.
  3. I think the one difference is that Fullmer has always been a starter. Daubach never really had been over full seasons. The production of Fullmer is pretty much .285, 25 HR, 70 RBI or so (Depends on the team) and a .355 or so OBP Those are very solid numbers and are superior to Daubach, whom I also like and would like to see back. While it would be a huge downgrade on paper to see Thomas/Konerko turned into Daubach/Fullmer it wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. Mainly because that would give the Sox the flexibility to add a ss and 2nd baseman to give us a 1-2 punch and then you deal Maggs for the ability to sign Colon. Maggs gets you a starting outfielder thats good, most likely a right handed bat and a pitching prospect or two. Then the Sox use the rest of their money to shore up the bullpen and sign a guy cheap to compete for the 5th spot.

Well I don't really have one on weekends, just wake up whenever, turn on tv and watch football. Around 10:30 go play football with my buddies. On Weekdays Wake up (6:35) Usually Go Back to Sleep (Anywhere from 5-20 minutes, depending on whether I want to eat breakfast, shave, or just throw on a hat and rush to school and shower when I get home) Brust Teeth Put in Contacts Shave (If I feel like it) Shower (90% of the time; sometimes I do it at night and then shower when I get home from school around 11:00) Eat Breakfast (Once again, if I feel like it) Read the Sports Page while I eat breakfast (Otherwise, take it in the car and read it while waiting for my first class to start. Usually a buddy of mine ends up reading part of it during my first class and I never end up finishing it) Hop in the Car Drive to School (Takes about 20 minutes) On the way listen to Kevin and Beane show Get out of Car....Drag my ass into class
  5. Can we trade Colon if we sign him? It wouldn't be a bad idea to sign him and see what we could get. Although I think we need pitching and a trade of Ordonez wouldn't kill me if we got good players in return. Ordonez and Konerko for Martinez and Edmonds. Martinez as in Tino Martinez? Hope you made a typo there. No reason to sign Colon and then trade him off. I'd rather have the draft pick and the flexibility of signing whomever I chose rather than being at the mercy of another team to make an offer for him. If he does indeed sign, Maggs will surely be gone, which is bittersweet for me. While I like Maggs, I do realize that a rotation of Colon, Buehrle, Loaiza, Garland and someone else could def. help us win the division more than Mags. Exactly. Pitching, PITCHING, MORE PITCHING. Who knows who they would trade Maggs to, but I guarantee the Dodgers, Angels, Padres, Cubs, Yankees, and maybe the Cardinals would be interested. I could even see the A's interested if ownership gave them approval to add someone to replace Tejada.
  6. The Angels have made it pretty much official. Fullmer will not be back next year. I'd consider Fullmer a legit option if Konerko/Thomas are gone. Last season Fullmer got hurt on June 28, but befor that he was hitting .306 with 9 HR and 35 RBI. His career ops is better then Konerko's too and best of all he can be had right around a mill, which is what he got last year. And in all honesty, I could see him getting even less since he's coming back from an injury. And at 28 he has plenty of baseball left, plus he would add a left handed bat to the Sox lineup. Fullmer also draws a ton of walks, he had 26 of them before getting injured while striking out 31 times. Works out to a .387 OBP I would love to see him in a White Sox uniform next year, and I'd love it if the Sox could unload Konerko and go to him. What an absolute bargain.
  7. Couldn't agree more. That is really dick of them.
  8. Can we trade Colon if we sign him? It wouldn't be a bad idea to sign him and see what we could get. Although I think we need pitching and a trade of Ordonez wouldn't kill me if we got good players in return. Ordonez and Konerko for Martinez and Edmonds. You could trade him, but I think you have to wait a certain period, not sure on that though. I could be completely wrong. Basically my thought is I'd rather have a stud pitching staff then a stud offense, case closed. Plus the Sox offense wasn't much of a stud anyway.
  9. He better learn from these mistakes, but I guarantee ya he's out of the organization. I wouldn't be shocked if Kenny has already told him. Don't expect him to get interviewed.
  10. I agree 100%. From day one I've believed the Sox will bring back Colon and I still believe exactly that. This is an excellent offer for Bartolo and he will accept it. My guess is, an announcement will be made soon in regards to Bart accepting an offer (COMPLETE GUESS). As far as Maggs, he is as good as gone, unless Konerko/Koch/Thomas are out of here. I think we know the odds of the 2nd option happening. The question is what do the Sox go after. I'm guessing they get a leadoff man and a pitcher.
  11. I still don't see how they are all making a big deal out of this. Yes the fan got in his way, but from the angle you can't really tell whether the ball was in the field of play or not. If it isn't, I'd say almost anyone here would be reaching for the ball not knowing, just based on a reaction. You can't really sit there and watch the ball bounce in front of you and see it take a shot off the concrete and drill you in the face. While it definately looks like Alou was going to make the catch it is still no gimme and the fact is Prior had another opportunity to get Castillo out, but he walked him. Thats his problem, he got ahead in the count and then ended up walking him. Then Gonzalez gets the dp ball and drops it. Sorry, blame the fan or not...he doesn't deserve the s*** he's getting. Come on...Death Threats, you got to be kidding me.
  12. A combination of Yount/Guillen would be fine by me.
  13. Agreed. I was always a Wally Backer, but my support for him has immediately ended. Now I want to see Guillen, Yount, or Cito Gaston. What an absolute joke by Backman. I understand if you want the managerial job and if you want to root against for your organization go for it, but keep those thoughts to yourself. Geeze thats pathetic. Especially the fact that he continually called him. I dont' think people wish injuries on players ahead of them so they can get a shot and I don't think a manager should wish for a team to suck so he could get the job. No wonder Sox players made those comments.
  14. I'm having the same problems. Not sure whats going on, but just contacted the server company. Usually I'm pretty easy on them when theres been an error, but lately there have been a lot of ongoing mysql issues and I Don't think they've been repaired properly so something that isn't functioning properly is holding everything back. Right now they are examining everything and hopefully they will find whatever is causing the problem and erradicate it. Sorry about the problems...I'll update everyone when I hear back from them.
  15. I forgot Kahn Supernusikan. He cracks me up.

All I know if the players start talking about the fans then they are shooting themselves in the foot. Fact is they didn't take care of business, you can't use fans as excuses, case closed.

  18. Good be exactly what JR wants. Just think about it, no media bashing him for slashing payroll. In seriousness though, I'd love to see a big free agent signing and I hope JR steps up.
  19. Thats wrong. I call my sisters cat Tub O Goo. Lazy thing eats, and then whines to eat. In between that it just sleeps.
  20. Thats a Cubs run on a Sammy Sosa RBI double. Lofton has been amazing.
  21. ROFL, I just watched the episode last night. He cancels his vacation so Brian can go to Drug Rehab and decides to join up. One of my favorite Quagmire lines is from that episode. Brian is sniffing people coming off and Quagmire is like, what do you smell. I smell 2 asian women. Quagmire: Thats Right Brian: and a man Quagmire: You mean 3 women Brian: sniff, No Quagmire: How old are you? Connie: 16 Quagmire: 18? Connie: Mom... Quagmire: I like where this is going. Giggady, Giggady, GIG-A-DY. Definately another classic. Is that the same episode where earlier he walks up to Meg and goes, 18 yet? No and is like Hey Chris how you doing and just walks off. I don't think it's the same episode, but in that one Chris starts to say something like "Well it's funny you ask..." and Quagmire goes "Yeah that's great" as he walks away. Ya, it was that action that made it hillarious. Now with one of my favorite peter moments its when he becomes president. He's sitting in there. You see him sharpen 3 pencils to a stub. Then he looks at his finger, starts looking around and sticks it in and you hear him yell. All of a sudden they pan down and he unzip his pants, looks around, and then they pan outside of his office and give you a view of the secretary and the door and you hear him screaming

  24. I think another good Quagmire line is: Random Girl: I have a question for you, What to do you? Quagmire: Well I got a question for you, What are you Still Doing Here? EEEEH (Or whatever the hell he says after every great comment he makes, lol. Another favorite: You must be this beautiful to ride the quagmire. Took Cerb and I long enough to figure out the right quote. We thought it was, you must be this tall to ride the quagmire Quagmire = THE MAN
