  1. Cain has an excellent fastball (Supposedly as high as 100) and he has a developing slider and changeup. He is basically a major project at this point. Was a first round pick in 2002. Never have really followed him so I don't know how he did this year. Last year he pitched in 19 innings so its hard to say what he can do. He also featured a curveball in the past, dont' know if he still throws it. Looks like he has tremendous upside though. Only 18.
  2. hey mother f***er.... where did you get that picture of my wife I think you aught to let your wife in on that one

    Koch

Are you saying that the Blue Jays have been thrown out every time, because that's not possible. 17 times sucessfully, 17 times unsucessfully.
  4. Just hit the IMG button and past in the link.
  5. I'm with ya on that. Hawk is awesome and hopefully he will be shaving his head soon

    Koch

I noticed one thing, Marte has more blown saves this year or just as many as Billy Koch. Marte has blown six, hasn't Koch blown the same?
  7. You guys extremely underestimate the value of Bartolo Colon. Foppert...Ainsworth...Williams Thats who u get. That will never happen in a million years. I'll say this, Rueter, Schmidt, Moss and Colon puts them over the top. I think they are tempted. The Sox probably only get two of those guys and one mid level guy, but it would be worth it in my mind. Still, I'd hold out for all three.
  8. Its a tough rational. I do it because I think it means Reiny will allow some other things to happen. Its also because I think Williams and Foppert are good enough to pitch right now and win games with the Sox down the stretch, giving the Sox a solid fifth, which allows Porzio or Wright to move to the bullpen.
  9. Williams: 5-1 with a 2.93 ERA with 10 starts with the Giants this year. The guy is only 21 years old. The kid is a freaking stud. Ainsworth is potentially out for the season but he's really good too. The Sox would add 3 guys to their rotation for next season, meaning Wright can fully become the closer while the Sox could let Colon walk and go with Buehrle, Loaiza, Garland and 2 of the 3 Giant hurlers with one moving to the pen or pitching in AAA getting more seasoning. i know what you are saying but his attitude has me wondering. if this is the case and we go for the trade and ainsworth is out then ask for that kid francisco lariona(sp) The thing is, Ainsworth had an ERA under 4 at the majors this year prior to the injury. Sox get Ainsworth, Foppert and Williams and they get three guys that are capable of starting next year and capable of being excellent. Two have proven themselves at the major league level, while Foppert was awesome in his last start against Colorado.

  11. LMAO. He's got you there Ian They look like Skittles to me. M&M's are better though at least in Blizzards they are.
  12. I'm working on a piece right now that would have the Sox buying and selling. Lets just say they move Colon, but add a few other pieces. I wouldn't have a problem with it either, if Foppert, Ainsworth and Williams are coming over.
  13. That makes more sense. Then I'd see the A's acquire Suppan to be the 5th starter.

6 Mill this year and next.

    Olvio

Agreed. I really think Olivo will have Pudge-like offensive development. Every year we will see him get better and eventually he'll be one of the best offensive catchers in the game and the BEST defensive catcher in the game.
  16. That was awesome or as Harold Reynolds would say LUCK. Neyer did say we need some LADY LUCK.
  17. I'd think that would be a 3 team deal, I don't see why the Jays would need Drew.
  18. I'd almost guarantee it would be a minor leaguer. But I don't see Beane giving up Blanton for Escobar. Why not just get Suppan for less. Unless they plan on making Escobar the closer next year.
  19. Blanton is a stud prospect, it would be close to the Sox giving up Honel in the move. So I say HECK NO.

    Olvio

He's been great defensively and I never expected much from him with the bat. I am a big fan of getting Kendall over here (Along with Giles; If Pirates pay half of his salary) and let Olivo get some time in AAA and then come back up in September. Next year Olivo is again the starter.
  21. You may be right. I just noticed how Fogg pitched really good right at the end of the season after he came up, but the Sox never really talked about him like he was the future. Actually you are right, I take back my comments. Having to suffer through watching Glover and Ritchie for as long as we did, you'd have to think they would of tried Fogg.
  22. Those sound good. Thats in the terrace section. It sounds like they are by one of the bags, not sure if its first or third though.
