Bull, thanks for the update. While you guys definately didn't have a great 1st half to the season, I do think the team really battled considering. Reed seems to be a heck of a player and should be a great addition. I bet the pitchers will be excited to get another offensive player on board. In the case of this team, I really think a lot of the blame enlies in the players and a lot of it enlies in the head coach as he isn't doing the little things to make this team better. This is my opinion from wathcing the games. Who knows what it would be if I knew Manuel and had conversations about him and knew how he handled things on a day to day basis. I don't think the hitting coach is the problem. I think Ward definately had some flaws, but to blame Walker for the current aspect is ridiculous. It s been stated by Harold Reynolds that its pretty much pointless to fire a hitting coach because the coach needs time to get to know all the players and make changes, etc. I do like our minor league coaches quite a bit and think that our prospects seem to be much more fundementally sound then their predecessors.

A lot of people would argue that Anderson was drafted higher than he should of been though, so I'm not so sure we got 2 first round picks. Of course we would have had another great pick if KW wouldn't have traded Ray Durham for Jon "ERA" Adkins. Either way I think Anderson was slotted as a first round pick. I'm excited about the draft. As I do a lot of research on some of these guys I'm getting even more excited. One player I'm really excited about now is our 16th round pick Cody Dickens. A real flame-thrower.

He's definately signable. Can't be a draft in follow or at least I don't think he can. I think thats only available for guys in junior college, but don't quote me on that. They will have to give him the same amount of money if not a bit more then Anderson to get him signed. He was rated as being better then Anderson so we kind of got 2 first round picks.

He should move through the organization fast as long as he produces. I'd look for him to be on the same type of schedule as Jeremy Reed. Thats if Anderson can put up the numbers.

Knowing how great of a planner I am, that may be best. I didn't eat dinner today till 8:30 because, frankly I was too damn lazy to do so. I figured my dad would make me something when he got home. It wasn't like he had eaten.
