  1. This has to be like, soooo, yesterday's news and the worst topic ever. Sooo, like, let's get it on, er something.
  2. Kerry might be a tool IMO, but he certainly represents America, and he certainly isn't in bed with Bin Laden or anyone else for that matter. All his double speak on allowing the UN to take over anything security - if he were to win the election, during the transition months between the election and the inaguration, he'd be able to see everything as it exists on a true scale, not the tidbits he gets as a senator. And it would not surprise me one bit that he says "it might take a little longer for us to get out then I thought so here's what we're going to do ... " type of thing. The guy's not my choice for the election (personally I would have liked Lieberman) but he certainly will stand up for America when it counts, because WE ALL DO.
  3. Are you kidding me? I know everyone on here wants the Cubs to suck and all but Prior gone for a month or two doesn't make them as bad as Pittsburgh for crying out loud.
  4. Ok, if you do that, then they need to do away with those damn carbon sticks that snap and break at every swing at the puck, which allows every one of these guys to shoot a 100 mph slapshot. Because of the new technology, EVERYONE on the ice can shoot really hard as compared to the older days when only the really good ones could get off a rocket shot.
  5. Hehe, don't forget Hordichuk. If they would only play him, he'd score 25-20 points a year. (Note: no Bias here, hehe)
  6. One thing that I certainly will agree with is that Rumsfeld is completely off his rocker. That guy has gone off half cocked more then once in a lot of ways... some of the quotes before the war and during it, just absolutely left me speechless. At least when GW doublespeaks, he leaves himself wiggleroom. Rummy isn't that bright.
  7. Yikes. So things getting that bad over there in that part of town now?
  8. I'd take it in the context of what they were saying and not parse out two words out of a sentance and start calling people racist. I know it's a sensitive subject but labeling people racist over poor choice of words makes you just as bad.
  9. Brutha, you really got to look at the spirit of people when they post. 99% of the people on this board have no hatred or racism - they just generalize. It might be poor choice of words that we use but you're just as guilty. So for the 100th time in the last couple of weeks (glad to see where you actually admitted you were wrong, btw) please quit labeling everyone racist just because they oppose your viewpoint. You definitely got a hot button. What if someone walked up to you at your TSA job, would you rake them over the coals for poor choice of words or would you let it slide, knowing they meant no harm? Just sayin.
  10. It was the brakes, er I mean, the gears, er I mean the flaps, er I mean... ... hold on... this just coming in... it was bad air! The air was slicker then a greasy pig, which wouldn't let the shuttle slow areodynamically down like it should.

    I'm back...

Can I go too? That would be a blast...
  12. I think by far the Stanley Cup Playoffs are the most intense and hardest to win of all the major sports. You've got to win 16 games, it's purely the best teams, it's physical, the mental part is just as important, and as each round passes, the games become that much better. I think that's why I like hockey even more then baseball... although don't get me wrong, I like to kick back at a baseball game pretty darn good too. And I can help ya out with questions too... been watching hockey for lots of years...
  13. I remember all the ones that ss2k mentioned, my first really detailed memories was the Iran hostage stuff. Re: 9/11. I was working for an airline at that point in time at DFW. I was on my way to work and heard on the Dallas station about a plane hitting the trade center, they thought it was a commuter jobbie at that point. Sat down to go over the night's flight ops when the second plane hit. 5 minutes later the FAA rep showed up and told our flight ops guys that no matter where our planes were, they were to land immediately. That's when I knew we were in deep poop. So, within an hour, all the planes in the country landed at the nearest airport, DFW was an incredible maze of planes and people. But there are two things I'll never forget, DFW is the third busiest airport, and the silence was deafening. And second, and even more weird was when all the people were speculating where GWBush was, we had the flight ops software that at the time still had Air Force One's transponder on!! So we were watching Air Force One flying from Fla. to Louisiana, to over Texas, got to about Midland/Odessa, Texas and did an abrupt turn to Nebraska. We were one of the few that knew where he really was, as odd as that sounds! Obviously now, even with the super flight software you can't watch where Air Force One is anymore... Working for an airline in all of that was definately something I'll never forget.
  14. You know if you don't like it, don't post. Big ass.
  15. Hey, if you need any inside info, you just let me know, hehe. Worked last time!

I only meant this to say that is where I form my beliefs from and that's where I was questioned from the beginning of my little rant. I'm not trying to say that I'm preaching to you. That's all I have meant pretty much from the beginning - and I certainly am not one to judge you because I do enough messed up things, and to me this is just another example of things that go "wrong" (I use this term only because that's what I've been using throughout the whole thread). My principles say it's "wrong", but I do "wrong" crap all the time, so to each situation is a different issue and we all have to reconcile our "wrongs" - and how each person does that is of their own matter. If it's right for you, that's what's right for you. And that's cool. If you feel it's not a choice and that's how you are, that's your character and I sure as heck am not one to judge you on that. Have I beat the crap out of this horse enough for you to understand what I mean?

What you say is cool by me. I don't have time right now to go and quote a whole bunch of things (I don't memorize versus of the bible to spew forth when it's convenient, I go and look for everything that's applicable when I am confronted with a situation that I want to know what the Bible says). The only couple that pops in my mind quickly (paraphrasing here) is Genesis and the whole bit of a man and a woman... and also the versus that talk about a woman and man leaving their parents to become united in one flesh... those are the obvious ones, and those are the general ones that I begin to form my beliefs from. I completely hope that you can find peace, yet I disagree with your lifestyle (you correctly point out that it may not be a "choice"... although I'd like to hear more about your views on this). I would never condone it, yet I would support your quest to find peace with your situation. You've got to be strong to stand up for your beliefs and I always find it applaudable, even if it goes against my personal set of beliefs, that you stand up for what you believe in. You have my respect instead of flaming those who disagree with you.
  18. DUDE! I think Apu is so full of s***, and stinks and all that, but seriously, can you please quit calling everyone who even has an ounce of opposition to your views a racist? It's just not becoming. In fact, your credibility gets f'ed up every time you do that.
  19. NEW YORK (Reuters) - Microsoft Corp. (NasdaqNM:MSFT - news) plans to drop the price of its Xbox (news - web sites) video game system by $30 to $149 next month according to a story in the Wall Street Journal on Friday. Citing people familiar with the company's plans, the Journal said Microsoft may also start selling a limited-edition Xbox packaged with its Halo shooting game, for $169. Publishers and retailers have clamored for a price cut for the Xbox and Sony Corp (news - web sites).'s (6758.T) rival PlayStation 2 (news - web sites) this year, to either $149 or $129. Reuters has cited senior industry executives saying they expected price cuts by May this year.
  20. Yea, and I saw that PS2 will match ($149) it in May, or even go to $129. I might have to break down and get one then, just in time for the next version to come out.
