Now listening to Kerry, he's actually making some sense. He's actually giving an intelligent rebuttal. He does have some pretty good things in mind, but we'll see what happens. But Kerry is a lot more moderate then almost all the Dems running for president.

I have to agree with the assessment that you build your team up the middle. Everything else can be built around that. Nomar is a good piece to that puzzle. Dammit, I wasn't going to speculate again because this has been talked about for two months now.

One could argue that the Sox were an underacheiving bunch last year (in April and May they sure as hell were, forget September... they were gassed from trying to play catchup from April and May.) So if this year's group is overacheiving, they're about the same place they were last year - 4 games is not that far from the playoffs.

Most serious college students would welcome it. But if they're going to partee' then it doesn't matter much. It's kind of hard to know what questions to ask if you think about it. What would you have asked?

Everyone keeps talking about the deals that have been made, or lack thereof. Let's remember that we have a totally different management style, a totally different attitude, and probably a totally different focus for this year's team. I'm not saying whether these attitudes are good or bad. I don't think any of us really know this until spring training starts. Bottom line: Manuel was pretty passive, Ozzie is a lot more "firey". I would like to see this team preach the fundamentals and win some games playing "small-ball", by being aggressive, etc. Remember the two 1-0 Detroit games. By playing a little more agressively, and paying attention to detail, those games are winnable. You can't win all the games by the long ball. I've said this before, I'll say it again. The start is HUGE this year. This team will make deals at the deadline if they're in it. And remember, it's better to make those deals THEN than now because in most cases, a deadline deal means you don't have to pay for the salary... which is just what the Reinsdork ordered...

It's not about his conduct, it was about the LIE. And lying to the press and the American people is one thing, but to lie UNDER OATH is another. I don't give a rip what he did with Monica, I don't even care that he lied to us about it, all politicians lie to save their own ass. But when he raised that right hand and swore that he would tell the truth, THE WHOLE TRUTH, and he LIED UNDER OATH, ****THAT**** is what I have a problem with the President of the United States doing. It's a bald face slap to everything our country stands for. If he would have lied and then under oath said, yea, I was wrong, he gets off a lot easier in my book. Nothing else in the whole thing matters except perjuring himself in court.

I agree. I think that Houston kicks their ass all over the place, barring injuries. Houston had a terrible start last year, which ended up biting them in the ass. But I think that Houston is overall stronger then the sCrUBS right now. Although it will be interesting to see how Pettitte fairs without the Bronx Bombers behind him now.
