  1. Will the Rays match their total of 10 runs in the 7th from last night?
  2. Good lord, I step away to make a sandwich and this is what I get?
  3. Sosa and Colas need to play every day, whichever place. They should leave Alberto at the airport.
  4. I disagree. He's hungry, playing hard, and playing well. Most of the rest of this team is a walking corpse. I hope they keep him there until he stops playing well.
  5. I can't single out Robert. Given this disaster, he's clearly not the only one not hustling, if, indeed, that's what happened.
  6. Given this mess of a roster, I'm glad to see Haseley lead off. That the roster is such a mess, of course, is an outrage.
  7. They won't try to jazz anything up. They'll just send Hasley and Sosa down; get the team back to where it was at the beginning of the year in keeping with the "it's the injuries" motif.
  8. They certainly could swap Remillard for Romy; and they should probably send Colas down before they destroy him.
  9. Who could have known that a trading for pitcher who was in the middle of his 2nd consecutive negative WAR season wouldn't work out.
  10. I see that Bummer gets a $2 mill raise next season; good lord, the way they do these contracts.
  11. I'd say that Katz is the likeliest head for Hahn.
  12. Can't some of these minority owners ask JR "WTF"?
  13. GreenSox replied to BamaDoc's topic in FutureSox Board
Colome doing his thing, I see. Pitches an inning, gives up a hit, a walk, strikes out 2 and picks up a save.
  14. Vinny V. throwing a gem today. He wasn't bad for the Sox last season, although no one seemed to like him.
  15. He actually had a career year right before the Sox traded for him. Trading for career years is not the way to do it. And of course, trading for 1 year rents, especially coming off of 73 wins; what was it meant to accomplish?
  16. And a month after the draft, they decide it's time to rebuild. And several years later, Tampa picks that reliever off the scrap heap and he shuts out ...ahem...for 2 innings. Endless.
  17. Don't forget that, after a 73-win season, Hahn traded Marcus Semien, Chris Bassitt, et al for Michael Ynoa, 1 year of Jeff Samardzija and "the exclusive ability to talk to him (Samardzija) for 10 months."
  18. They were lazy in the rebuild. They did just enough to have 7or 8 frontline players. Hahn napped through most July trading seasons when he could have at least traded relievers when he had leverage he traded a few for Rule5 players). He adamantly refused to build infrastructure such as state-of-the-art analytics.
  19. If the Sox don't come back to win this game, we will have lost the season series to the Rays.
  20. I'm probably dreaming, but perhaps JR tells KW that he needs a head to keep the other owners happy and to throw a bone to the fans.
  21. Those sycophants around him who enabled this crap for so long saying "Right on, Rick" is comedy in itself.
  22. Absolutely comatose.
  23. Nothing that I can see. While this is the bottom, there have been numerous cases of egregious incompetence, lawsuits over some gnarly stuff, et al that have resulted in no consequences to the perpetrators. Maybe KW will decide to retire. At that point JR announces that he will hire a new VP of Ops. When that new VP comes aboard, then he dispatch Hahn, Haber, Getz and the rest of the clowns.
  24. Man there is no life at all. Never seen anything like this.
