QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 29, 2006 -> 07:17 PM) I wonder how many people are wishing we still had Luis Vizcaino. I don't, not to a degree... But I always liked Chad Bradford. I always thought he would still look good in a sox uni.
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 29, 2006 -> 06:26 PM) Someone superimposed Carlos Delgado's face over Juan Uribe's. He looks more like Ray Durham to me. EDIT: Just saw your post Greasy.. Completely agree.
  3. Man this draft has been weird especially for the Titans. They got Vince Young and LenDale White...
  4. QUOTE(Cloudyguy09 @ Apr 29, 2006 -> 03:17 PM) haha yea FINALLY!! I was waiting for someone to post a Big Hurt rookie pic.
  5. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 29, 2006 -> 01:40 AM) Michael Irvin on SC saying it's horrible....."Defense doesn't win championships....being able to outscore the other team is what matters." Somewhere in his pocket I can sniff the drugs.... BTW, I'm still shocked about all of this. I'm definitely gonna watch this draft for 4 hours or how many hours it is till it ends.
  6. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Apr 29, 2006 -> 12:54 AM) Here's a picture of Jose Contreras circa 1982. IMO, he looks pretty much the same as he does now. If that's Count in 1982, then his age of "35" now is iffy (like anyone thought that was his real age) cause I highly doubt that he was 11 years old in that pic.
  7. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 29, 2006 -> 12:39 AM) Go f*** yourself Weaver. ^^^^^^^ Times a trillion, he and Robert Fick. Great win tonight. And congrats to Freddy Garcia tying the most wins by a Venezuelan pitcher.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 07:15 PM) Revolution is generic. Wii is unique and I love how the 'i' represents the innovative controller. ^^^^^^^^^^^^
  9. Imagine Ventura and Larkin on the left side of the diamond..
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 12:25 AM) You do know the Cell is considered a "small ass" field when it's warm out? Yes, thats why I was surprised of the question. Hell, I think 2 of our starters pitched better on the road so I was very surprised that a question like this was posted. Not saying its dumb or anything but.... Or.. maybe I was reading it wrong.
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 12:17 AM) This is an honest question for my fellow Sox fans....even with our stellar pitching rotation, do you think the Sox team is better suited for a smaller, homer hitting park? In my opinion, we're a better team when we're mashing homers and our pitchers are keeping the other team in the park. I would say 3/5 of our starters in the rotation are fly ball pitchers. They would get murdered if we had a small ass field just a regular fly ball or a hitter who was just a tad underneath a pitch could probably go out. Wouldn't matter what our hitters would do unless you want a 15-13, 12-10 score every game like in Colorado most of the time. Just my two cents.
  12. Widger to me looks like he just wants to hit a homer with his big swing every time up. Cut down your swing Widge!!!
  13. Well looking at Knight's sig, I think Rowand, Greasy, DBAH0 and I were the only ones to pick the Twins finishing ahead of them. Great minds think alike.
  14. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 12:15 AM) BA with some good plate discipline tonight drawing 2 walks. Went hitless, but if he can keep drawing BB's, and get on base, I'll be very happy nonetheless. Ditto. Getting that OBP up for me. Mabye he can get his BB/SO ratio back to respectable.
  15. What a statement. Good win, let's take the rubber match Mr. Mark "Ace" Buehrle.
  16. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 08:48 PM) Brooks beats Lincoln Park 11-10 scoring 7 runs in the bottom of the 7th. Helluva game, and I was glad to be a part of it. Thats our 2nd win in the last bat. Our first came against Thornridge the Friday before Spring Break. Eigher these teams now are alittle weaker this year, or you guys had an off game, cuz Lincoln Park is one of the easiest teams to beat unless they've gotten better from their Soph (now Juniors) making the jump.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:59 AM) seriously, the ACT and SAT are easy. You will have no problem, its all about confidence and making quick decisions. Something I never had.. Hell I did below average on them, but it didn't really make a difference for me. It really depends if you want your sights set on a particular college, if not, any college can except you if you at least have good grades. You can't have bad grades, and have a bad score on the ACT. Then you can basically label yourself a "bum", "hustler" or my personal favorite "mcdonalds worker."
  18. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 04:02 PM) Brian Anderson loves Safeco Field. It's funny you say that, cuz Seattle fans already are starting to hate BA now in his short career. He PWNS the Mariners. He's quickly becoming the Thome/Sweeney killer against them. (Mariner Killer) It's also good cause this series can probably give Brian some momentum in this road trip hopefully. I think he can have a nice game tonight! Go Sox!
  19. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 12:25 AM) The loss is on our best reliever(up to this point) as well. This game is killing me right now cause I hate losses like this but unfortunately that is baseball and s*** like this happens. Doesn't hurt as much knowing we were World Champs last year eigher. Any other time like chisonfan79 said, I would have screamed my ass off, cursing up a storm.
  20. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 12:23 AM) ozzie loves the righty/righty stuff though, so it's not like it was some unkown reason. Every manager likes the righty, righty match-up. It's common in baseball. BMac made a good pitch (personally I would had just challenged him with the heat after 2 change-ups) and Court knew what to do with it.
  21. Another 1 run loss this season, something that hardly ever happened last season. Hell, I thought we could had stole this one. The Mariners are horrible in one run games.
  22. Tough loss today man. BA kept it goin, but we just couldn't get it done. Let's take 2-3 then which we could use since we have not played well in West Coast games.
  23. Alot of athletes have made a mistake in their lives on something that could had changed their careers in some way even though noone could really blame them cause eigher it was for $, striving to be the best, or had a bigger ego/cockier (Tyson Chandler not going to college, Palmeiro taking steriods maybe costing himself the HOF, Drew Henson playing baseball instead of football etc.. etc..) Borchard will probably be included in this list when it's all said and done.
  24. No doubt, I'm probably the best looking (sexy/handsome/whatever else) person on this site as far as the male posters.
