Pitching for the Cards has always been a dream for Mark. If he doesn't sign with us, it will suck I admit. But that's not his style. I know he would like to get something done. It's a buisness so we'll see what happens. I would not mind him pitching in the NL though and throwing shutouts against the Cubs every outing he has and such.

If one guy can't get it done (Kong) then we got others to back him up (Thome, Dye, AJ, Crede) Our bench is also key, but we REALLY need the pitching and the defense. We aren't gonna out-slug everybody.
