  1. Late bloomer maybe? I hope so for our sake if we do keep him around.
  2. Agreed Jas. They did lose to The Bucks when they were really bad, but I think the Bulls can make it 14-18.

I'd rather not post in this thread on a deep matter. Too many deaths I've seen/heard from and been through a ton of pain (mentally and phisically) in my life. Scary.. life is.. scary. Great thread though hi8is.
  4. QUOTE(raff @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 11:56 PM) i would trade myself to phili, they have good steak sandwiches. I've been to Philly and if you haven't tried their Philly cheese steaks you are seriously missing out. I went about 3-4 years ago and I can still take that PCS in my mouth.

  6. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 01:10 AM) Bonds was a big reason for all those double plays. He was never one to ground into them very much before he was in san fran batting behind bonds. Pierz mostly batted 6th in SF's line-up so he did ground into many DP's this year. But IMO, it was just a bad year for him. His average was down, obp was even lower, and yes, his DPs did go up. I think a change of scenery, going back to the AL, and a fresh start to the Sox here should help him alot.
  7. I'm at a relatives house looking at "things." on t.v
  8. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 12:03 AM) 2003: Mark Johnson, Keith Foulke, Joe Valentine for Billy Koch and Neal Cotts I was just about to say that.
  9. In no particular order.. Chappelle Rock Harvey Williams Francisco
  10. Buehrle/Cotts/Davis. Minors: De Los Santos/BMac/P. Lopez This is also in my profile.
  11. QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 01:28 AM) Don't look now but if we win tomorrow... the mighty Celtics and Paul Pierce are only a 1/2 game better than us.... and they've played 3 more games than we have.... Not to get ahead of myself but..Playoff Picture
  12. Ya nice comeback for the Bulls. Here's to beating Boston and to improve to 13-18

IMO, he'll make this roster in 05.
  15. Is Burke still gonna be there if he was designated for assignment?

    In school right now..
  17. QUOTE(JoshPR @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 07:30 PM) How many times has this been asked? Several, I know Josh. But all in all, it's Iggy (my new nickname for him)
  18. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 07:16 PM) I was referring to what sox-r-us said. I quoted you on accident and i did read the whole thread. It was just an accident. Ah my fault. I still love ya AJ.
  19. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 07:10 PM) Calling buehrle girlie is an asinine thing to say. I can definitely agree on that.
  20. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 07:07 PM) Why does he not realize nearly every single pitcher has a hand full of awful starts a year. Buehrle is not any different. I would like him to compose a list of better pitchers then buehrle over the last four years. Then laugh when he realizes there are not many on the list. What the hell are you talking about? I'm not talking about the starts in a season as inconsistant. Were talking about results in the season. Don't jump in to any convos if you didn't read the whole thread to begin with qwerty. But like I said I'm not gonna fight it. It's a agree to disagree basis and I'm sure not all of us will agree on everything.
  21. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 07:03 PM) Look at the career numbers my friend and look where they have pitched. One has pitched in Coors Jr, the other in SAFEco Park. (emphasis on the safety for pitchers.) And yet, Buehrle has better numbers. Year Team W L ERA G GS CG SHO SV SVO IP H R ER HR BB SO 2001 CWS 16 8 3.29 32 32 4 2 0 0 221.1 188 89 81 24 48 126 2002 CWS 19 12 3.58 34 34 5 2 0 0 239.0 236 102 95 25 61 134 2003 CWS 14 14 4.14 35 35 2 0 0 0 230.1 250 124 106 22 61 119 2004 CWS 16 10 3.89 35 35 4 1 0 0 245.1 257 119 106 33 51 165 Year Team W L ERA G GS CG SHO SV SVO IP H R ER HR BB SO 2001 SEA 18 6 3.05 34 34 4 3 0 0 238.2 199 88 81 16 69 163 2002 SEA 16 10 4.39 34 34 1 0 0 0 223.2 227 110 109 30 63 181 2003 SEA 12 14 4.51 33 33 1 0 0 0 201.1 196 109 101 31 71 144 2004 CWS 13 11 3.81 31 31 1 0 0 0 210.0 192 92 89 22 64 184 He is better but not by much. I can bet Buehrle's numbers would be around Garcia's in Safeco. Baseball is a crazy game. Stats don't prove s*** if you change teams or fields. But agree to disagree I guess.
  22. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 06:51 PM) A pitcher who has been inconsistent for most of his career So Buehrle would also be inconsistant right?
  23. QUOTE(Mr. Zero @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 06:42 PM) Bruce Levine seems pissed off about this. He was going on and on about him being a massive cancer. They had a clip of AJ talking and he said he never had a problem with any ChiSox players and that he has a lot of respect for them and that he also knows Frank and Buerhle. I heard Buehrle and AJ were pretty good friends (then again who isn't friends with Buehrle he's a good guy to be around) I'm sure Frank and AJ have great respect for each other as well.
  24. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 06:39 PM) I'm done thinking about the Reed/Olivo for Freddy/Ben deal. What's done is done. Gotta give something to get something, and I'd rather have a good pitcher than a good outfielder. Exactly and this is comming from the biggest Reed fan on this board. I love the guy to death (in a heterosexual way) but we got a good pitcher for 3+ years, good outfielders to build on and who are waiting in the wings (Anderson & Sweeney) We'll be ok without Reed.
