QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 10:21 AM) Christopher Kamka @ckamka 8h Jose Abreu: 18 RBI through first 20 career games is most by a White Sox player since Zeke Bonura in 1934 (20) OT: not a twitter guy, but love that guy's tweets, very knowledgeable.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 09:06 AM) I read where Turner may be the only SS drafted in the top 250. If you get a good SS, you better keep him. Hell, microscopic chance, but if Trey fell in the early second round, and we nab him, I'd do cartwheels.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 10:07 AM) At least Hossa and Sharp are getting shots on goal. Versteeg and Shaw had a combined 1 shot on goal yesterday. Versteeg shouldn't even be playing, he is awful. Team has bigger issues than Versteeg. (who at least has an adequate playoff history, and is currently tied for 4th in our playoff scoring) Like Brandon freaking Bollig playing ahead of Morin, Oduya looking like our worst defense-men this series, etc.

Damn. Now 6'3 252 4.5 40. For comparison, Urlacher was 6'4 258 4.57 40. And I will end the comparisons there . -
Thank god, but if Sale is seriously injured later on, just cancel this season. Avisail was bad enough.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 20, 2014 -> 08:33 PM) Hinrich has always been Mr. Choke One of my least favorite Bulls of the past decade. Thank god he is still a slight above average on ball defender, or he'd be borderline useless out there.

To all of you. :cheers :cheers

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 20, 2014 -> 10:11 AM) Boxer Rubin "the Hurricane" Carter, the man the authorities came to blame for something that he never done, died at age 76. Was only a matter of time after battling cancer this long (like a typical fighter). Funny thing is, I just watched that movie a couple days ago.

Right there with Dan on the Trayce bandwagon.. well.. I need to be considering how much I've pimped him up since he was drafted. Micah however, has been one of the biggest surprises in our whole minors.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 17, 2014 -> 08:03 AM) Leury was fun to watch pitch. He hit 88 and had a lot of movement. Danks wants Leury to teach him how to throw his sinker. I also blame the OP for this loss. **bad omen**

Trey Michalczewski has an impressive walk rate going on.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 15, 2014 -> 11:03 PM) You have to do it the day of.. What are you doing??! Yea he might of f***ed himself up already. Usually that's a bad omen right there.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 14, 2014 -> 09:55 PM) No Brook Lopez this year. Bulls were also 2-1 against them in the regular season. That and home court make me pretty confident the Bulls can beat the Nets in the first round. It won't be easy, but it's doable. And that one loss was in March when Brooklyn finally started getting their s*** together (Bulls first two wins were earlier in the year). I'd much rather face the Wizards/Bobcats and their lack of playoff experience, but avoiding Miami till the ECF is just too good to pass up personally.

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 14, 2014 -> 09:20 PM) Keon Barnum--Kannapolis by June or sooner? Tim Anderson has been worse. Still think he should of repeated Kanny.

I still can't believe Alexei is this hot in freakin' April. Great to see.

All I know is another player on the Hawks better get on the "luck" mullet. Kane first did it in 2010, we won the cup. Then Kane AND Saad did it last year, we win the cup a second time.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 10, 2014 -> 09:30 AM) If I were a Bills fan, I would cut my wrist the long way and end it all. Just sayin', not like there's any Bills fans in here to offend, of course. **Watch for wite on suicide watch** -
QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Apr 10, 2014 -> 09:15 AM) Heh, well those seasons and those players are a bit higher stakes. As long as Avi is 100% eventually, thats fine. it surely wont be after our team is really good again. You still don't want to see a 22 year old player who is still developing (crazy to think most players at his age are prospects in A+ ball) as a player essentially have a full season taken away from him. I hope to god he's alright, and best case misses a couple days.

Great to come home from work and see that box score. Semien keeps improving every game now. And if Garcia can tap into that power potential he's got, he's going to be a monster.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 7, 2014 -> 04:37 PM) I still can't believe he's only 26. Has all the tools, but a questionable toolbox. Right system however, I think he can still be adequate. -
Nice to see Q finally having his head out of his ass and is playing Morin as well.

Jeff is one of the best in the business (along with Dan) on that futuresox staff. Very insightful as always. Also rivals DBAH0 with his thick accent.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 3, 2014 -> 11:08 AM) Semien and Nieto are supposed to be the future here, Flowers is more than likely playing for a contract elsewhere. Lets not jump to conclusions about him yet.

QUOTE (hammerhead johnson @ Apr 3, 2014 -> 10:12 AM) This is a swell debate that's spread out over multiple threads. Candidates: Alexei Ramirez - Has a 79 wRC+ since the beginning of 2012 (1300 plate appearances). Take Darwin Barney's 62 wRC+ out of the picture, and Alexei is in the discussion for worst full-time offensive player in the majors over that time frame. We'll let him live because of his glove. White Sox fans who mention him as a candidate for the #2 hole should be taken out back and shot. Alejandro De Aza - Basically an even 100 wRC+ type, so he's not dreadful, which is something. He doesn't get on base enough to justify batting in the 2 hole. Still looks like Ted Williams when you compare him to Alexei Ramirez. Avisail Garcia - Horrendous plate discipline, but he posted obscenely high BABIP figures throughout his 5 year minor league career. I don't know quite what to make of this one, except to say that I smell a K-Dub acquisition. Gordon Beckham - Made a quantum leap last year when he went from the .290 OBP range all the way up to .320. That's some serious cause for celebration. He's a Triple A lifer with a hot wife. Marcus Semien - Had 110 walks and 130 runs spread out over 4 levels in 2013. He posted those numbers in damn near 800 plate appearances, but it's still impressive. Had a 17.5% walk rate and 170 wRC+ in close to 500 Double A at bats. He could turn out to be the only competent hitter that Kenny Williams ever drafted, so if you thought the pressure of hitting in the 2 hole was immense, then think again. From what I can gather, the only real option here is Semien. I suppose that De Aza is a decent backup plan if Marcus fails miserably over an extended period of time. Hammer, you know your one of my personal favorite posters, and I agree with you on Semien. Don't think the kid is quite ready yet, however. Ideally, I would've like to seen him in AAA to start if it wasn't for Slayer's injury (until maybe June), then ready to man the 2 spot for the next 5+ years. We will see if he can adjust accordingly though, it's still early.

QUOTE (JoshPR @ Apr 2, 2014 -> 03:10 PM) Neil peart is the holy spirit of that band. One of the best drummers alive Chester the Cheetah agrees.
