  1. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 27, 2011 -> 09:02 PM) Gabe carimi is just fantastic, wow. Season hasn't even started yet, and he is (IMO) already the best O-Lineman we got.
  2. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 28, 2011 -> 06:57 PM) Tigers Rotation-- Scherzer- KC, Chi, Min, Oak, KC, Cle Fister- KC, Cle, Min, Oak, Bal, Cle Porcello- KC, Cle, Chi, Oak, Bal, Cle Turner- KC Verlander- Chi, Cle, Chi, Oak, Bal Penny- Chi, Min, Chi, KC, Bal Playoff Rotation- Verlander, Scherzer, Fister, Porcello They can't possibly play under .500 with that schedule. This is the Tigers. I bet Twins fans were saying the same thing in 2009.

Might not happen this year, but Kevan Smith wants to move up to Kannapolis.
  4. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Aug 28, 2011 -> 08:20 PM) This board, as I remember, was not all about Tyler Flowers. Ya I was one of the few that liked him, but that is because I have a soft spot for prospects. Iamshack liked him alot as well to say the A.J. injury was a blessing and I agreed with that. (as did some other posters) I don't blame not calling Flowers up (A.J. was still producing) or even De Aza (though I can understand with Rios, he would have been stuck on the bench with Ozzie anyway, not to mention Pierre was comming around and this was before Q getting hurt) but there is no excuse for Viciedo not being called up. None.
  5. Did not see the game, but look at the highlights.. nice. Looked like Viciedo broke his bat on that home run too.. Great to see the youth do well.
  6. So thats why Gilbert Arenas was bringing guns to work...
  7. Viciedo. (why not) Nevermind probably won't start.. De Aza.
  8. Happy B-Day you douche.
  9. I work every other Saturday (so not too often) and ya.. I have to freaking work.
  10. Beckham, Hell, the kid has already improved his defense from where it was a couple years ago. Get him to be that gap to gap machine (with good discipline) that he used to be and he'll be fine. Pretty much has to adjust better to the league.

Kevan Smith continues to hit like he's pissed.
  12. Keep pitching well Stewart. Keep hitting well Flowers.
  13. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 24, 2011 -> 11:12 AM) This is the first time since 1984 that I haven't gone to a game in person, not counting a rain out I had a ticket for in April. Same. Usually I'll go to 2-3 a year nowadays. (used to be 5 a year) I have not gone to any games this season, and my job offers very sweet deals.
  14. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 24, 2011 -> 11:04 AM) They certainly are. They've gotten better since the trade deadline when they were already better than us. Not to mention they pretty much have an automatic win when Verlander touches the mound.
  15. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 24, 2011 -> 10:14 AM) There is no reason for JT to be claimed by the Sox this makes no sense at all. This entire year as a whole made no sense to me (from decisions in the front office, down to personnel decisions from the minors) so why not have one last hurrah?
  16. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 24, 2011 -> 09:24 AM) We will go undefeated the rest of the way with Thome. Just picking up that valuable World Series experience we need.
  17. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Aug 23, 2011 -> 09:41 PM) I'm 25, she's 22, and this guy is 20. What she wants with a 20 year old I have no idea but that's her choice. He must put you to shame in bed...
  18. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Aug 23, 2011 -> 09:11 PM) Has to be referring to Short and Marrero. There's no one else. And he would be wrong if that's the case (and I like Marrero).
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 23, 2011 -> 08:58 AM) and Roy Williams needs to catch those balls or be replaced. He is going to piss off alot of Bear fans this season. I still want to see him make his money in the red zone though. Let Bennett and the other WRs make their living off those crucial 3rd/4th down plays. Hester is just not a great option to work those tough battles in the red zone.
  20. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Aug 23, 2011 -> 10:22 AM) He was worth keeping in 2007 because 1.) he was younger, 2.) cheaper. I'll give you the cheaper argument. Lets just hope someone can take Paul Konerko next year then. He'll be 36, so obviously he's bound to suck with that contract.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 23, 2011 -> 07:47 AM) ESPNStatsInfo ESPN Stats & Info Elias Says: Justin Verlander is the 4th pitcher in the last 50 years with 2 streaks of 7+ winning starts in one season He is also only the third pitcher in the divisional era to post a WHIP under 0.90 if he keeps this up. (Pedro Martinez in 2000 and Greg Maddux in 1994 and 1995 who both won the Cy Young awards with those seasons) He pretty much has the Cy Young gift wrapped.
