  1. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 12:46 AM) I don't know what you guys have been watching, but Rose has never struck me as anywhere near the caliber of scorer as Wade is. Just my personal opinion. He has incredible potential, the best (along with Wall) I'll probably ever see in the next decade, but I'm with you I'm skeptical if he'll ever fulfill it (then again I view Rose's upside enormously big unlike others). I don't even think he will ever hold Chris Paul's jock strap in the next 3 years as far as PGs, but Rose actually NEEDS the players which is why this FA is so important. If the Bulls strike out, I don't see Rose ever truly fulfilling his potential. If he gets a guy like LeBron (especially someone who can actually FINISH at the rim... f*** you Deng...) along with shooters then his assist will go up as well as his overall PER and defensive efficiencies. Thibo is the right step in his development however (especially defensively of course) over a coach who has never coached in his life.

The way he is hitting (and that defensive gem he made yesterday) he is comming back to becomming "THE" CQ.
  3. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 10:20 PM) I think its way too early to be counting on Sale being in the rotation in 2012, let alone ever. Let's wait until he has more than one minor league game under his belt. Thank you voice of reason.
  4. Brent Lillibridge b****es. Like I said before.. NIGHT and DAY better with the bat this year. Congrats to Tank (1st major league homer) and Santos (1st major league save) as well.
  5. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 09:41 PM) I think the two of them would make beautiful music together... Miami was THIS close to drafting Rose just a couple years ago to pair with Wade. No doubt in my mind Rose probably would be farther along in this development (which is scary to think) learning off Wade. (though Spalotra isn't as much better of a coach as Vinny)
  6. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 09:35 PM) I would think LeBron would be anti-noah since they got into it about James's dancing bulls***. They were cool during/after the playoffs though. (I.E. Noah and LeBron laughing at the score's table when they were both subbing in, Noah hugging LeBron after we lost game 5, etc..)
  7. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 09:12 PM) Also, can confirm several reports of a rift between Wes Wesley & James camp. Wes was indeed pushing Chicago, I'm told. Ya I figured that much hence the "not good" post.
  8. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 05:29 PM) The big question is what would the Bulls do with that cap space. Who could they get? What star guards/forwards are out there that would be good fits that we could acquire? Give me Lee/Boozer and Allen/Redick as a worst case. (fill the other spots with snipers and a big man to help Rose) and call it an off-season. Still a top 5 team in the East, though still will probably get bounced (early or late other people can say) in the playoffs. QUOTE (Real @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 05:21 PM) sportsguy33 BTW: The only thing I'd bet on - Wade back to Miami. I think he's milking this for his doc. No way he walks away from 30m during a divorce. 3 minutes ago via web He is guessing, but I agree with him. Prove me wrong Wade!!
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 05:16 PM) He was hitting in the .260s on like May 4th. That is when I wanted him gone. A month into the season. Knew all along this was going to happen. Like I said though, he would be good on the bench as a PH power option (OPS). nothing else.
  10. Gardenhire, by alot.
  11. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 01:41 PM) oh god, why do we have to be tortured with Andruw Jones starting??? Lets see if he can top his outing on saturday night where he looked like a fool and K'd his first two AB's, and then when he decides to make contact, ground into a DP. Andruw Jones needs to be DFA!!!!! I've long said we should have dealt him when he was still hitting in the .260s. He did the same s*** last year in Texas as well. Or if KW gets a damn bat, he would look good on the bench as at least he'll give you a power option/OPS.
  12. Did about 30 votes yesterday. I'll debate if I wanna do more later tonight if I'm not too tired.
  13. Toronto already drafted their Bosh in Ed Davis. (albeit probably a poor man's version) The writing was on the wall from then IMO.
  14. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 04:41 PM) Amare to the Knicks is done, should be announced within the next hour according to David Aldridge. Everyone knew it.. but I find it very odd he didn't at least "listen" (or go to) the interviews with the Bulls and Nets scheduled Tuesday.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 04:19 PM) Jordan Danks got on twice. Everyone else...nothing. Nice start for Tillman. Threw a one hitter. Very ironic Danks was the only one who figured him out. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 01:45 PM) I also think the Orioles do a horrible job developing players. No they don't.. it isn't just you.
  16. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 12:44 AM) I'm still cautiously optimistic. I think its down to CLE, CHI, and NJ for Lebron. I really don't see him going to NY, and if he did, I'd have a lot less respect for him, not that it matters. I don't think you should think. It's been down to those three (and many would say us or Cleveland) for a while now, especially considering according to reports, New York blew their interview. Miami and the Clippers have better shots than New York IMO.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 4, 2010 -> 10:43 PM) You missed the joke... It was a sucky one. Prior to this series, we did lose 2/3 to the Royals. I hope this isn't another "playing down to the competition" year only against AL teams (minus Seattle). Great win though against a first place team. This Angels series is gonna be a good one.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 4, 2010 -> 09:24 PM) Dan Black was 3-4 with a two-run homer and a triple. :headbang Gilmore continues to hit and Greene had a nice night for the Barons as well.
  19. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 4, 2010 -> 11:08 AM) World Wide Wes was booted from James' inner circle. Wow.. not good.
  20. Happy B-Day guys. Alex....
  21. I'll vote for sure, and pray that there is an injury from someone in the OF (for family matter or something) that Rios can get in.
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 4, 2010 -> 05:22 PM) Lillibridge batting 9th at 2b...rest of the lineup is the usual suckfest I like it.. ALOT actually. He is NIGHT and DAY better with the bat (and more comfortable up there) than last year.
  23. I can't believe Rios and Votto did not make the teams. Congrats to Matt though.
  24. QUOTE (mmmmmbeeer @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 07:32 PM) I thought Amare to NY was already pretty much a done deal? Pretty much is IMO. Though he isn't "fully committed yet"
