  1. Morel will be fun to watch in Birmingham next year. And for B-Ham it seems like Viciedo, Shelby and Hudson are carrying that offense.. not good. Kanny faced a good looking prospect in Trevor May (from what I remember about him, he has a nice fastball and a sick power curve but I have to double check that) Just couldn't touch him. EDIT: Yes it's the curve. He's developing a change-up.
  2. I was one year and a month removed from going to New York (to visit my aunt) and taking pics of the WTC (2000). Crazy to think that happened a year later. At that time I was a freshman in high school, just barely awake about to leave for school when my parents called me in the living room about it. My aunt was working across the street in NY and still never forgot about people falling out of the building dieing, and the whole ground basically shaking from the impact. Crazy s***. Needless to say, she lives here in Chicago now. I'll never forget 9-11. Man I can't believe it's gonna be 8 years already.
  3. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 11, 2009 -> 01:24 PM) Nix has a history of being a plus defender at both middle infield positions, whereas Getz' rep is good but not great at 2B, so going in, Nix looked better. But this season with the Sox, Nix has looked not nearly as good as Getz at 2B. That's not to say it will stay that way, but, that's been the story this year. No he wasn't. He was considered all world at 2B only, and from what I've seen of him, he's still outstanding. Changing from 2B to SS/3B/LF/RF would f*** up anyone's defense when you aren't playing the same spot everyday. He's been serviceable at the other spots but 2B is by far his best position even though he's made more boneheaded mistakes than he does. (then again.. most of the team has) He is still a plus defender a 2B especially when given the time there. BTW wite, I love that lineup. Anything to get JD off of it is a plus. The sox record hasn't been pretty the second half when he's been on it.
  4. Happy B-Day fellas. :cheers Enjoy your "Bier" Andy. Hopefully someday we will drink a cold one together my Aussie brotha.
  5. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Sep 10, 2009 -> 11:54 PM) Looks like Troy is out for a few weeks after fat boy Alge landed on his knee. Ya.. didn't look good when they showed the replay. Definitely the MCL. Hopefully for the Steelers sake it's just the MCL. Yet another player who gets hurt when put on the Madden cover.
  6. Great Falls the only victorious team tonight. Good game for Ciolli. Nice to see Trayce Thompson get a hit and 2 BB's as well.
  7. Morel so far is carrying that W-S team. Greene has also had a good playoff series thus far.
  8. And after all the crap he was stirring about Urlacher/Cutler ordeal, Bobby Wade got his release papers today.
  9. We won? Damn I turned the T.V. off after the 10th..
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 9, 2009 -> 09:31 PM) Did any of them yell "You lie!"?
  11. I gotta say the crowd has been hilarious tonight.

f***ing Boston.. Oh well.. it'll be good for our minor league players to see how they fare against a major league pitcher. Gives them that confidence boost.
  13. Hell to the no Balta.. Fast fingers.
  14. When Tommy starts a game thread (especially recently), the sox have won.

QUOTE (GO CHI SOX! @ Sep 9, 2009 -> 11:51 AM) Biggest Sleeper SC: Dan Black The 14th rounder Black hasn’t had the best of results in the early going, but I really like his combination of plus power and fantastic plate discipline. He doesn’t have a position and has been playing a lot of first base, it’s unfortunate that he couldn’t stick at the position he played a lot in college, that being catcher, because then he really would be a prospect. But as it is I believe in the bat, even at first, so hopefully Dan Black doesn’t prove me wrong. I'll be damned.. :headbang
  16. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Sep 8, 2009 -> 11:59 PM) Two more strikeouts though. Eek, alittle harsh on the raw, 18 year old huh?
  17. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Sep 8, 2009 -> 11:33 PM) I'd hit it. I'm gonna have to agree with Slav on this one..
  18. Nice to see Trayce Thompson with a 2-4 night.
  19. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Sep 8, 2009 -> 11:04 PM) I hate being right/ Well I was kidding BTW (thought it was obvious). But I was more or less talking just Cust. And of course Cust takes him deep, which I laughed hard in my basement. Good call on that part though BTW.
  20. Ryan Sweeney sticking it to the sox org. Somewhere in Chicago, BearSox is jizzing uncontrollably.
  21. Forget Torres, it's all about Dan Hudson nowadays.
  22. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Sep 8, 2009 -> 09:16 PM) How dare you, sir!? That's a Norris man you've insulted. Only "Chuck Norris" has that kind of leeway.
  23. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 8, 2009 -> 09:09 PM) Randy is so bad it's laughable. Well he really isn't suppose to be in the big anyways.. though we could say that about alot of the players that worse our uniform and still are this season. BTW, congrats to Hudson.. you now have an official earned run credited to your name. I dunno if they counted Alexei's error as one as they shouldn't but it's showing up on Gameday.
  24. Congrats brother.
  25. QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Sep 8, 2009 -> 03:28 PM) We have the softball alignment today. Ah, your the guy with the impressive sig. Well done robin.
