  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 04:42 PM) I read every one of your posts as if Beckham is saying them, with that look on his face. It never gets old
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 06:25 AM) Do the Rockies have the mojo going right now or what? Down 4-1 in the bottom of the 14th and they come up with 5 runs, highlighted by a walk-off grand slam by Ryan Spilborghs, to beat the Giants 6-4. Colorado is 53-26 since Jim Tracy took over for Clint Hurdle. They're only 3 games behind the Dodgers. Amazing run they're on right now. They are really fun to watch. My second favorite team in the MLB now (and I'm not just saying that cause I'm the GM of their team in a fantasy baseball league) I mean I love watching the young guys play. Dexter Fowler..
  3. QUOTE (SoxPride56 @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 03:09 PM) Carlos hitting 3rd, Dye down to 5th. I'll take it.
  4. "You were a former Cy Young Award winner Stone Pony" "Runners on 2nd and 3rd, nobody out, and we can't do a thing with it" "That's a hangwiffum (sp?) for Thome" "Carlos Gomez is just an unbelieveable talent"
  5. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 12:33 AM) I cant get this girl who I work with out of my head. f*** long distance relationships, my head (and eyes) wander so much when they really wouldnt otherwise. dont stop get it get it
  6. QUOTE (bobryansson @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 09:52 PM) Quentin's been a major disappointment, so we ought to add his name to the list. Just cashng the checks. Ya that league minimum he's really loving right now...
  7. QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 09:29 PM) hudsons pitch counts worry me ...especially if he gets called up against a patient team like the yankees For impatient posters begging to see him, he's just not ready yet. Let him finish out the year in AAA then next season reevaluate him. He might stay in AAA a bit longer and gets called up later on in the year, makes it out the 5th spot in ST, whatever. It's nice to see Flowers getting that walk rate up. He and Gartrell are really adjusting well in AAA.
  8. One of the ugliest games I've seen in a long time. Just brutal.
  9. QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 04:41 PM) Faux Duke cousins killed "Dukes of Hazzard." Get out..
  10. QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 03:59 PM) Y did we skip Z? Dummy!! Noone noticed it either. Were good though get back in line. No more cutting in line.
  11. Ace wants to whore himself to a thousand fat chicks for 50 bucks.
  12. Stupid, sexy Germans. I blame the many on this board.
  13. 35% Black, 35% Mexican, 10% Puerto Rican, 10% Indian, 10% Irish. I'm a mut.
  14. Valentin had the stache... Alexei doesn't.. Win.
  15. Wow... Dvoracek out for the year again.. Torn ACL in the right knee Talk about not catching a break. (serious injury prone player)
  16. QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Aug 23, 2009 -> 07:13 PM) What was McLouth's record? I believe he stole 180 straight bases without being caught once or something like that.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 23, 2009 -> 05:30 PM) You absolutely shut down Peavy if we're more than 6 or 7 games out after the road trip. All reports indicate he's very uncomfortable on the mound, so why even risk him overcompensating for any soreness and messing up his mechanics? Same goes for Danks, as you can put some unusual torque on your shoulder when you can't guide the ball with your finger. I think you quoted the wrong person.
  18. Some bright spots so far.. Tyler Flowers 2-4, 2 R, RBI Gartrell 1-4, 3B, 3 RBI. Hitting .324 his last 10 games. Jo. Danks 2-3, 2 R, RBI, 2 BB. Hopefully he can get back on track. Jim Gallagher 1-2 R, 2B, 3 BB now has a .333/.460/.608/1.068 line in AA in limited at bats. Seems as if he gets better when he jumps a level. (A-/A+/AA) Torres was decent. Brooks was awesome in relief. Brent Morel and Loman are having good days once again. Mitchell and Phegley... so far combined are 6-6, 2 R, HR, 4 RBIs.. :o Gilmore and Escobar each have a hit. Nick Ciolli went deep. Upchurch looking "ok" early on.
  19. 5-5 probably.. but I'm leaning towards 6-4. We usually play well versus the good teams so I'm optimistic on that but I can't see us beating the Twins in the series though I think we can take 1 game.
  20. Here's another short summary And video of him saying it.
  21. Nice thread. I was the first to steal 60+ straight bases without being caught once. (30 junior, 34 senior to be exact) Then of course, I hear about McLouth's record and wanted to punch him in the face. It's a lame stat, but dammit I'm proud of it.
  22. Beckham was bringing it with the D. Danks has some man stones.
