I was just flipping through the ol' boob tube and saw that CURLING was on NBC. WOW! I never thought I would see the day that curling would be on NBC. My question is, does anyone else other than me, actually enjoy curling and want to learn about it? It seems to be the basterd child of the winter olympics. but I actually enjoy it.

Now if Wide Open West would pick up WGN-HD on their digital cable, I may never leave my house.

I cant wait to watch a baseball game on tv. It's baseball season!! WOOOO HOOOOO! And today, I get to watch it on my news 55" HDTV. This is going to be sweet!

In my opinion, "Monster Garage" and "Monster House" are 2 of the best shows on TV. Along with "I love the 80s" and "Whose Line is it Anyways", they stop me in my tracks when they come on. If I am doing something, I stop and start to watch the show. Those are the only 4 shows that can do that to me.

I think the owners and Selig really want testing, but they cant do anything about it. The player flat out refuse to be tested (or at least Fehr says the players dont want it). MLB NEEDS congress to step in. On a side note: I am really sick of Fehr. He thinks he is God's gift to man kind. Fehr and the players are dont look at issues fairly. They think "me me me". Not "what is best for the game". In 100 years when baseball no longer exists because it was run into the ground, an author will write that this all started because the union demanded to much power and that run it into ground.

I dont see the Bulls keeping their first rounder unless they REALLY think that Okafor would fit perfectly into the line-up. I dont see that. If Okafor were to play PF, then Chandler would have to change to SF and that wont work. THat is, of course, unless they feel that Chandlers injury this season will be an ongoing problem and they plan on trading him this offseason.

My family is looking to buy a HDTV within the next week or so, and I wanted to get your opinion of what you think is best. What do you have and do you like it? I am looking at a Mitsubishi WS-55313. My only restrictons are that It needs to be under $2000 and I would prefer 52"-55". Any help you guys can offer would be great Note: With the baseball season around the corner, I just e-mailed Wide Open West (my cable provider) and asked if they would be offering WGN-HD in the near future sice Cubs and Sox home games will be offered in HD. Thier responce was: "At this time WOW! does not have immediate plans to add WGN HD. That does not mean that we will not add it, but simply means that it is not in our immediate future." THat blows.

I am really aiming my argument at companies that ship their jobs overseas where they can pay workers less. Not only is that wrong and unethical to me, it hurts our workers who deserve the job.

I totally agree. I am nto saying in this case that one canidate is better than another, but what happens is that once one gets rolling it is hard to stop and you really have no other choice than to vote for him because people start flying out of the race. I, for one, would like to see something like what is done during the elections. Have everyone vote on the same day. With a primary, you are in a sense voting for the president of your party.

Doesnt suprise me. He is a typical polition. He has no back bone and goes with what is "popular". When it comes to wars, Kerry is for, then he is against, then he is for, then he finds out it is popular to be against, so he stays with being against. Sad thing is, he is still probably better than BUsh. He actually intends on fixing the US economy and keeping jobs HERE.

Listen, i respect your opinion. you are entitled to that. But, I think you really need to just relax. If YOU want to make a biblically and historically accurate movie, GO DO IT! Take it word for word from the bible. No extra. No Interpretation. I dare you. My bet is it doesn’t make more than $200. Listen, I have read all 4 gospels (the parts that pertain to the movie) since I went to see the movie and I find it to be very accurate. Is it 100% correct? No. Did he add scenes? Yes. BUT, if he hadn’t, the movie would have been a flop. If you combine all 4 gospels of this story into one movie, it would last at best an HOUR and be very dry. What Mel added just expanded on things that ARE in the bible, but while they may be important, they are glossed over. For this, I site the example of Pilot’s wife. In the bible she is mentioned once (in regards to her dream). Mel added a few scenes that expanded on the idea that she was troubled and did not want Jesus killed. Just because Mel added a few scenes with her doesn’t mean he made the movie “ubBiblical” as you claim. He just expanded on an idea with other parts. I see nothing wrong with that. If Mel changed the ending and Jesus said, “You know what, I do have the power, so I am going to save myself and take myself of this cross”, then I would have a huge problem. But in general, this was a GREAT movie with tremendous witnessing potential. In a conversation I had with my pastor, he PRAISED the movie and really wants everyone to go see it. He didn’t say the whole movie was 100% dead on, but he knows that this movie gets the message of Christ across in a forum where million upon millions can be reached. Maybe some for the first time. I, for one, fully support this movie.

Garland has been getting better year by year. It has just been a slow process, that is all. Last year he had more good starts than bad. THis year I look for a good improvement.
