Oh, and somebody needs to tell Rose that not wanting to recruit because you believe/don't want to disrespect your teammates isn't really accomplishing anything. You've got a torn ACL to recover from and multiple superteams to deal with. It might not mean anything. But yes, if a superstar, or even a f***ing all-star, is out there somewhere, make it known that you WANT him. The guy did win an MVP at 22, and I would imagine that gives him some clout. Don't worry about hurting Deng or Noah's feelings.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 6, 2012 -> 09:01 PM) Well maybe hell get hurt and someone from the west will have a shot at them in the playoffs. Sigh. Ray is just overkill at this point. They don't even need him. If 'Bron, sissy and other sissy are healthy, they're the favorites.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 6, 2012 -> 08:44 PM) Jalen Rose says Allen to Miami If true, I'm surprised. Thought Ray had a little bit more ego than that. Anyway, get ready for Heat vs Thunder/Lakers next year. So apparently Ray hates Rondo; big reason why he decided not to resign with Boston.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 02:58 AM) Good post, but I was referring to myself with the quote about speaking forcefully. Milkman was saying how I'd be more well liked if I didn't come across as a self serving know it all. I said you (meaning me) have to speak forcefully in this day and age of the anonymous Internet lest u get eaten alive. I like Robin. He's off to a fantastic start and if he keeps this up, yes he could have a greater run at this than Ozzeroo. I don't know if he'll want to manage forever; does anybody know if he likes the job? he's doing great right now. I liked him as a player and I like him as a manager no matter what Jordan says. I will forever defend Ozzie, but I want the White Sox to win every game and Robin to be the next Casey Stengel/Tony LaRussa/Earl Weaver, Billy Martin. But I also love Ozzie and will defend him. Called him just a few minutes ago. He told me he likes the job. But just a little bit. Not a lot.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 09:55 PM) Nash is 62 years old. I give this a big yawn unless they get Howard. Thunder still the team to beat in the West. 2nd in the league in assists, 54% from the field, nearly 40% from the line. Now he's got 3 all-stars to play with. let it go.
-
QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 09:46 PM) Oh boy...now the Bulls can't beat the Lakers? The lack of faith many Bulls fans show about their own team is disturbing I'm of a mind that we can beat anyone, when this team is healthy. You're Roger from angels in the outfield. That's fine. But c'mon. Gasol/Bynum have a massive advantage inside. Kobe is Kobe. Now they've got Nash? It's not close.

I'm really starting to believe. I still fear a second-half blitz from the Tigers similar to last year. But for now? The White Sox have a legitimate chance at the playoffs. NEVER saw it coming.

Great f***ing win. Starting to believe this team can hang with anyone. -
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 09:17 PM) Steve Nash + Lakers > Heat + Ray That's not counting if LA goes all out and tries to get Howard for Bynum. Basically, lakers/heat in the finals. Whatever. Even if rose is healthy from day one, come up with a scenario that doesn't involve 1989 Michael Jordan rejoining the franchise in which the bulls could beat either?
-
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 09:11 PM) Well, it'll stop the Heat. But come the f*** on. Another "Lakers get everything for nothing" deal?. Well, if the Heat get Ray Allen, it won't matter much. Still, I've had enough of this crap. The Lakers do what they do, fine. But I'm sick of the excuses for the Bulls (balta).

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 09:05 PM) Think whatever u want; I only post about Ozzie in the Marlins' thread. I am a White Sox fan. Case closed. I want to reopen the case. How are the marlins, 4 games blow .500, a lock to make the playoffs? Explain yourself. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 08:59 PM) You are crazy. I follow the White Sox; I have no stake in Ozzie, who is so rich he does not need my support. I do defend, Ozzie, however. lol. this is what i'm talking about. what does this have to do with anything? ALL mlb managers are rich. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 08:51 PM) Are you crazy? I don't watch games HOPING THE SOX LOSE! I want the Sox to win every inning, every game. My gawd. Sorry, dude. I know what it's like to get ganged up on. But I think some folks are understanding where i was coming from in the nba thread. You're just obsessed with one dude. That's it. If this team wins, Ozzie becomes as irrelevant as gary coleman after different strokes ended. And you do not want to see that. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 08:44 PM) Judging from Hawk's tone, I think he smells defeat. He's seen a million games and this one is slipping away momentum wise. Big bats and it's soon to be Thornton time which spells trouble. lol. omg, greg. You know i like you. but shut up. You're the one that smells defeat. Don't put it on hawk. You want this team to fail so your boy ozzie doesn't look any lamer than he already does. -
Let's face it: Chicago is a small market masquerading itself as a large market. It's NY, LA.................................................................................................. ..................................................................................................... ......Then Chicago. I don't even care to discuss how this travesty just happened. But why can't we just rip somebody the f*** off? Wait a minute. "Why would a team want to help the Bulls?," says Balta. ZZZZZZZZZZZ. Unbelievable. Nash/Kobe/Gasol/Bynum will be f***ing disgustingly sick.
-
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 05:34 PM) Limited. Nevermind, then.
-
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 05:30 PM) He had no say in the Marlins trade. Oh, really? I thought Lee had full veto power?
-
QUOTE (G&T @ Jul 4, 2012 -> 05:22 PM) Didn't Ozzie push kw to get him out of Chicago? More ammo for greg. And this is actually legitimate ammo. Says no to the Dodgers; yes to the Marlins.

QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 06:15 PM) Rose can blow past ANYONE, it takes a team effort to actually stop him. Heat brought the help defense to wall him off in the paint. It was a team effort. I hate when people say it was just Lebron that stopped Rose. Any great player can blow past any great player. But the man himself basically said that I've got this 6'8 bear on me and I can't shake him.
-
QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 06:03 PM) Rose could get by Lebron, but he ran into a wall of help defense in the paint. I saw a guy total up the amount of minutes Lebron was on Rose in the ECF, it it totaled up to about 3 minutes. This was after game 4. Your guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
-
QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 05:45 PM) But Rose played bad in that entire series, and Lebron was barely even on him. How do you explain that? Rose was just bad, he was bad regardless of who guarded him. No, LeBron was on him frequently in 4th quarters. Rose could not get by LeBron.
-
QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 05:38 PM) I saw a D.Rose that did not play well at all in that series. He was crappy when Mike Bibby was on him. It was hardly just Lebron that made him play bad. 6'8 athletic freak of nature with good lateral quickness and a 40 inch vertical definitely played a big role in Rose's 30% shooting. Bibby? Really?
-
QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 05:35 PM) Huh? I'm just saying its a total myth that LEbron shuts Rose down. Leave Lebron on Rose for the duration of a game, Rose would blow by him like he blows past anyone. The reason the Heat were successful in guarding the Bulls was not as simple to explain as "put Lebron on Rose". It was a team effort. You're missing the point. It'd be silly to put LeBron on Rose for the duration. That's a weapon you go to late when it's close. And sorry. LeBron did shut Rose down last year. I don't know what you saw.
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 05:29 PM) It is impossible for you to admit that the Heat are better, I understand this. But it is all moot when the Heat can put Lebron James on Rose and shut him and the rest of the Bulls offense down immediately. It is what it is. The Heat are top heavy, the Big 3 are far greater than the sum of the Bulls current parts. You, sir, are not a fan.
